When is your PP follow up visit? Any concerns you want to raise at it?: feb 2
How are you feeling physically?: pretty tired but doing ok. I actually ate three meals yesterday!!! I'm pretty sure I'm healing well from my tear.
Emotionally?: ups and downs. Every time we change our feeding plan, which feels like every five minutes, I get really overwhelmed. But every time I get reassured that baby is doing great, I feel tons better. She's already gained a couple ounces since birth. Yay!
How is feeding going? At 7 days I'm really trying to increase my supply, since baby's getting like 90% formula right now. She's been really awake from like 10am to 3pm the last couple of days, and sleeping for longer stretches at night. It's been nice but it seems like it's hurting my supply. We're now focused on feeding every 2-3 hours, so waking to feed, and starting with breast, then dh formula feeds her while I pump.
Are you getting any sleep? Not too bad here. Except baby's been up all day so I'm starting to get pretty exhausted.
What are your goals this week for a healthy mind/body?: just making it through day by day at this point.
Delivery Date / # Days Postpartum: 11/28 -- tomorrow is one month, holy crap!!
Vaginal / C-Section: C-section
Limitations / Restrictions from OB/MW: no sex
When is your PP follow up visit? Any concerns you want to raise at it?: Jan 6th
How are you feeling physically?: fantastic! occasional achy back, but that's nothing new.
Emotionally?: The anxiety is a little better, but it still hits me like a brick wall sometimes. It's almost nauseating when it comes. Getting out of the house seems to help a lot -- unless I'm at my MIL's. The anxiety was through the roof at her house. I just wanted to go home.
How is feeding going? She's fully on formula now and Similac seems to agree with her.
Are you getting any sleep? Cora sleeps in 3ish hour stretches through the night -- if H goes to bed late and feeds her around midnight I can sometimes make it to 7am only waking once to feed her around 3:30ish.
What are your goals this week for a healthy mind/body?: Just trying to make it through one day at a time at this point.

@kc295905, I'm glad you're feeling so good! Winnifred, glad things with the feeding are better!
Delivery Date / # Days Postpartum: 11/8
Vaginal / C-Section: CS
Limitations / Restrictions from OB/MW: the usual
When is your PP follow up visit? Any concerns you want to raise at it?: final appointment is 1/5. I need to figure out a birth control plan!
How are you feeling physically?: no pain, general fatness
Emotionally?: feeling back to my old self...as much as that's possible. Except I loathe my husband most days. Since I'm so unhappy with the current state of my body, I think that contributes to my attitude with MH. Im excited for January....fresh start.
How is feeding going? Decent. I wish DS would start eating as much as DD, but there's not much I can do.
Are you getting any sleep? Up every 3 hours, but it feels manageable. Or I'm just numb to the pain now.
What are your goals this week for a healthy mind/body?: try not to kill MH. Take a few walks. Eat all the unhealthy things in my house.
Questions/Comments/Rants/Raves: moms of boys....any tips for baby boy to not pee out of his diaper? He's constantly leaking in the front. I suspect from the position of his penis.

Delivery Date / # Days Postpartum: 11-30/almost 1 mo pp
Vaginal / C-Section: csection
Limitations / Restrictions from OB/MW: no tampons, no sex, no heavy lifting
When is your PP follow up visit? Any concerns you want to raise at it?: in 2 wks. Depends. These last few days my incision and ute both feel sore.
How are you feeling physically?: I've felt so much more normal physically that I could be overdoing it. Esp with ds1. Still not carrying him but do help him up to bed, wrestle him down for diaper changes, etc.
Emotionally?: Have my good days and my bad days. It all hinders on how much sleep I get.
How is feeding going? EBF. It's draining. Yesterday was non stop. Today was only slightly better. I feel tempted to forget the boobs and do FF.
Are you getting any sleep? Usually only two 2 hour stretches. Last night I did get a 3 hr one though.
What are your goals this week for a healthy mind/body?: always gets more sleep. And try not to eat too much fast food.
Questions/Comments/Rants/Raves: I ranted last night about dh. He does not understand how lack of sleep and breastfeeding around the clock can drive me crazy.
littlelion, I'm glad I'm not the only one complaining about my husband. 😬😬😬
Mine is in a league of his own. Forget the going out. When I try to vent my frustrations and explain how I feel, he tells me they're my children I'm supposed to care for them and love them. Like I'm a bad mom for complaining. It really hurts my feelings.

That's really shitty of him. He needs to be more of a team player. And you should be able to vent to your spouse, with no judgement
Hi all! I've been lurking for the past week or so during the newborn blur
Delivery Date / # Days Postpartum: 8 days PP
Vaginal / C-Section: c-section
Limitations / Restrictions from OB/MW: taking it easy, no lifting
When is your PP follow up visit? Any concerns you want to raise at it?: I have a post-op appt next week. I guess the only thing is that my ab muscles hurt when I pee, especially with a full bladder. Not like a UTi, but muscular. Anyone know if this is normal post-C?
How are you feeling physically?: ok. I have not had to take any narcotics during recovery which is great, but I am still taking ibuprofen round the clock. At home on the couch or doing small things, I feel great. Short walks outside and showers wipe me out a bit, though. I'm taking it slowly.
Emotionally?: really well. I feel a crazy endorphin rush when I hold the baby and I am just so happy and relieved that she's here. I am handling the sleep deprivation and BF with a lot more patience than I expected to.
How is feeding going? Really well. I feel really lucky. I started BF in recovery after surgery and she had a tongue tie that we didn't know about yet. Because of that my nipples got torn up pretty quickly and feeding was painful for the first few days, even with a nipple shield. They are healing up, though, and I hope to wean off the shields in a couple weeks. We got her tongue tie fixed and her latch is much better. She nurses a lot but I really don't mind and I enjoy BF a lot, which is something I didn't expect.
Are you getting any sleep? Some, though not necessarily at night. She sleeps in 2-3 hour stretches and we try to sleep when she does.
What are your goals this week for a healthy mind/body?: to take it easy and to not push myself too hard. I am very lucky in that H has paternity leave so I have a lot of help.
Questions/Comments/Rants/Raves: as someone with a history of anxiety I was worried about how the sleep deprivation and the enormity of caring for a newborn would affect me. I am so pleasantly surprised at how well it has been going. I truly don't mind having to stay up late with her and I am truly enjoying the breastfeeding and bonding process. It all feels quite natural and easier than expected and I am so so thankful for that.
requiressnacks, aim it downwards when you are closing up his diaper!
littlelion, that's a really shitty thing for him to say. Exhaustion from caring for a newborn doesn't suck any less just because you love your children. It doesn't mean you're any less tired -- guilt on top of exhaustion isn't fair at all.

I'm a few days late but you all understand how it's hard to get a little time to yourself right now
Delivery Date / # Days Postpartum: 15 days
Vaginal / C-Section: vaginal
Limitations / Restrictions from OB/MW:no sex, tampons, or baths (I really miss those!)
When is your PP follow up visit? Any concerns you want to raise at it?: end of Jan...I'm wondering if the stitches she used will dissolve or if they'll have to be removed- I really hope they'll dissolve pretty soon b/c they are starting to itch and I can't imagine having to have them removed
How are you feeling physically?: Doing pretty well- I am actually 2 lbs lighter than I was when I got pregnant- so all my weight gain was DD2 and fluid. I am quite proud of myself and will go back to my way of eating as soon as the new year rolls around
Emotionally?: I'm still kind of a mess. Yesterday, the hand-made bracelet with DD2's name on it came in the mail- well- it was supposed to. The post office mangled the envelope and there was a hole in it and the bracelet fell out somewhere in transport. I am more upset about it than I feel like I should be- I can't talk about it without getting emotional- so DH is going to have to call the hospital and see if they'll send me another b/c I can't stop getting choked up enough to make a phone call. Also, we found out today that one of my childhood cats has severe cancer and will have to be put down (they're doing it tomorrow so we could tell him goodbye today). That was NOT a conversation I wanted to have with my 4 yr old but she is handling it better than I am (she's not really attached to the cat b.c she's never really been around him).
How is feeding going? We are having to do 3oz every 2-3 hrs. She FINALLY gained some weight (5 oz in 5 days!) so hopefully the pediatrician will release us to be on a normal visitation schedule at her 3 week appt next Thurs.
Are you getting any sleep? Most nights. Last night was rough. She usually sleeps 4 hr stretches at night, but last night she only slept in 20-30 min stretches between her first bottle (2:30 am) and her 2nd bottle (5:30am) so DH and I were up every 20-30 mins to put her paci in and try to keep her from waking DD21 up. DH and I usually take a feeding a piece, so each of us is only up with her once a night.
What are your goals this week for a healthy mind/body?: Trying to get out of the house a little. Today the girls and I went to my Mom's..the plan was so DD1 could ride her power wheel she got for her b-day since it's nice weather today, but it mostly ended up being so I could say goodbye to the cat.
