This was in one of my baby books that I read before LO was born and it was my favorite thing that I read while pregnant (about babies/pregnancy). Now that our LOs 9-10 months and we know them well where does your LO fall?
Rate your LO's personality on a scale from 1-10, with 1 being the the opposite of the word and 10 being off the charts. (Like for example on distractibility 1 would be super focused, 10 would be super distractible) Anecdotes welcome!
1. Activity level - 1 I'll just lay here, 10 let's go already 2. Distractibility - 1 focused, 10 wait what was that, no that 3. Intensity (basically how big they react to everything good or bad) - 1 it's meh, 10 the world is ending 4. Regularity - 1 I do what I want, 10 you better not mess with my schedule 5. Sensory Threshold - 1 the world is too bright and loud, 10 doesn't phase me 6. Approach/withdrawal (willingness to do new things, be with new people) - 1 I will cry forever if you leave me with these people, 10 toss me to a stranger 7. Adaptability - 1 no change, 10 go with the flow 8. Persistence - 1 I give up, 10 I will sit here forever until I figure this out 9. Mood - 1 sad baby, 10 ridiculously happy
1. Activity level - 1 I'll just lay here, 10 let's go already
10. Our baby never sits still and requires a lot of freakin activity.
2. Distractibility - 1 focused, 10 wait what was that, no that
8, she is so easy to distract and bounces from 1 thing to the next.
3. Intensity (basically how big they react to everything good or bad) - 1 it's meh, 10 the world is ending
7. Really she is like a 10 on the negative side and a 5 on the positive side. She doesn't laugh that much or anything, but a bad thing is like the end of the world. Fortunately, she is really distractible so she doesn't say mad wrong.
4. Regularity - 1 I do what I want, 10 you better not mess with my schedule
8 we are very schedule oriented
5. Sensory Threshold - 1 the world is too bright and loud, 10 doesn't phase me
7, the only thing that really gets her is a sudden loud noise, she doesn't like that, other than that she is good.
6. Approach/withdrawal (willingness to do new things, be with new people) - 1 I will cry forever if you leave me with these people, 10 toss me to a stranger
3 she is pretty hard to warm up to new people especially, but even with activities.
7. Adaptability - 1 no change, 10 go with the flow
6 she is medium go with the flow. She needs a flat space to sleep and won't really nap well in the car seat or stroller unfortunately but she will nap in a PNP anywhere. She doesn't mind tagging along but she has limited patience with being out and about bc she requires so much physical activity
8. Persistence - 1 I give up, 10 I will sit here forever until I figure this out
8 she is pretty persistent. She likes to figure things out. Also it's pretty tough to get her to do something if she doesn't want to.
9. Mood - 1 sad baby, 10 ridiculously happy
7. She is very pleasant but not overly happy. She often looks serious but doesn't cry a lot.
1. Activity level - 1 I'll just lay here, 10 let's go already. 10. He never sits still. He's not even still in his sleep. 2. Distractibility - 1 focused, 10 wait what was that, no that 5. He'll focus on one toy or show for a few minutes, then he's ready to move on to the next thing. 3. Intensity (basically how big they react to everything good or bad) - 1 it's meh, 10 the world is ending 3 He's pretty laid back 4. Regularity - 1 I do what I want, 10 you better not mess with my schedule 5 He does stay on a schedule, but if we need to change it up, he's ok with that. 5. Sensory Threshold - 1 the world is too bright and loud, 10 doesn't phase me 8 Most things don't bother him at all. 6. Approach/withdrawal (willingness to do new things, be with new people) - 1 I will cry forever if you leave me with these people, 10 toss me to a stranger 8 I handed him over to the OT at his swallow study and he didn't care at all. 7. Adaptability - 1 no change, 10 go with the flow 8 He's easy going for sure. 8. Persistence - 1 I give up, 10 I will sit here forever until I figure this out 5 He'll try to figure something out for a while and then move on when he gets bored with it 9. Mood - 1 sad baby, 10 ridiculously happy 9 Almost always happy. His pediatrician says he's deceptive because even when he is sick, he is ridiculously happy.

1. Activity level - 1 I'll just lay here, 10 let's go already 5- She's always ready to play, but is happy just sitting and watching too. 2. Distractibility - 1 focused, 10 wait what was that, no that 3- she tends to stay pretty focused on what she wants, but if something looks more interesting she'll go for it. 3. Intensity (basically how big they react to everything good or bad) - 1 it's meh, 10 the world is ending 4- she's pretty go with the flow. If she doesn't get what she wants, it's easy to appease her with something else. Except when it comes to food. If she sees someone eating, nothing will stop her from getting some. 4. Regularity - 1 I do what I want, 10 you better not mess with my schedule 7- we are pretty scheduled, but I can tweak it a bit if I need to 5. Sensory Threshold - 1 the world is too bright and loud, 10 doesn't phase me 8- she's pretty laid back about it 6. Approach/withdrawal (willingness to do new things, be with new people) - 1 I will cry forever if you leave me with these people, 10 toss me to a stranger 1- she freaks out if a new person even gets too close. 7. Adaptability - 1 no change, 10 go with the flow 9- she's very gonwith the flow as long as a stranger doesn't hold her 8. Persistence - 1 I give up, 10 I will sit here forever until I figure this out 5- some things she sticks with and some things she gives up 9. Mood - 1 sad baby, 10 ridiculously happy 8- she's mostly happy. I can always get a smile and her laughs are the best.

I will come back and do this when im not on mobile.
In the meantime does anyone else have a LO who never laughs. We have only been able to get a few giggles a handful of times. She is so serious. Happy, smiley, expresses excitement and happiness but doesn't laugh

Our LO very rarely laughs, like not everyday. Usually from aggressive pretending to eat her belly. Lol. Like tickling but combined with your mouth close to her belly and growling or nomming. It's the only thing she finds funny.

Hahaha this is a guaranteed laugh from Ethan every time! Another new thing that makes him laugh is turning my back to him and then jumping to face him and saying 'BOO!" By time number 4 I get a laugh.

My oldest was like that. Super serious baby. Happy, but smiles were used to get and laughing even harder.
I used to say E smiled more in her first few weeks than dd1 did her whole first year. E also has spit up more in a day than dd1 did her entire first year. Lol
