My friend had rotator cuff surgery last Tuesday so her youngest son (one of DD1's bet friends) stayed with us two nights last week and he's been with us since Tuesday of this week. 4 kids and 1 of me is insane.

This guy only woke up to eat once last night! It feels so nice to have gotten decent (3-4hr) chunks of sleep. I'm sure we'll be back to our more frequent wake ups tonight, but, wow, it's lovely to feel relatively well-rested today.
DS1 and DS2 are being terrible - not listening, talking back, crying, wanting to eat all the snacks. Baby hasn't slept much this am. Trying to get him to nap. Then I need to make the little monsters lunch and put them down for naps too. I might just start drinking now.....

Hugs, naps and coffee for all the ladies that need it today.
I'm in my car "running errands"
This is payback to MH for last night. He had to call his FREAKING MOTHER to come over while I was out to dinner with my girlfriends. He couldn't get the twins to settle down. And of course he texted me a million times to tell me, which kind of put a damper on my good time.

My incision is draining today. It's not bloody and there's no puss, and no fever so I don't think it's infected, but it's freaky. I'm keeping an eye on it and will call the OB if it gets worse.

I thought I was doing so well...
I was told to wear a pad on it for any bleeding or drainage. It also helps healing to keep it dry. By end of week 2 pp I hardly had anything on the pad.

Wow. You're a Saint.
It's really not bad, except when we try to leave the house, then it's chaos. At home, they all play together really well and he loves helping with Hazel. He's 8, my two are 7 and 5, so good ages.

Is it red or sore around the incision? If so, I'd call and have it looked at. I went for my incision check 13 days after and it appeared to be fine. A couple days later over the weekend, I had awful abdominal and leg pain that went away later that day. A couple days later, I noticed the incision site was pretty red, really sore and draining with a trace of pink. No pus, no fever. They put me on an antibiotic and the culture came back showing bacterial infection. Not saying yours is, but definitely keep an eye on it. Hope it gets better.

Dh is king of the pitiful this morning- I can only hide my eye rolls for so long. He slept on the couch last night so he could be upright and breath, now he's napping in our bed but propped up. Seriously, it's a head cold- you'd think he has a severe sinus infection or something. Luckily I was able to sleep.
Looks like baby wants to have a January birthday-still nothing on the labor front. I didn't have my appointment yesterday(my doc didn't see the need) so I just have my 41week appointment tomorrow. I'm going to try to clean a little today.

I'm tired of making all my meals. Tempted to order lunch but I prefer to save that for weekends only. Even something as plain as jimmy johns would be a nice change of pace.

Thanks, littlelion, I have a pad on it right now, I figured the same thing you were told: it'll keep it dry and I can monitor the stuff coming out of it.
mrswillie it's not red, and only slightly sore. I'm keeping an eye on it and hoping it gets better. Grrr

littlelion, Cora was sleeping 4 and 5 hour stretches for about a week. That ended, and I'm sad. Now we're at 1-3 hours at a time and me begging her to sleep in between.
crimpgirl, Cora was in preemie outfits as a FT baby too! A friend bought us 2, and it was so nice to have something to put on her when we went out for doctors appointments and stuff that fit well and didn't bunch up in the car seat. I found that putting footie sleepers on her that were a little too big with socks on the outside of the feet kept the feet in place so she didn't end up with both legs on one side of the sleeper. She's finally fitting into her newborn sized outfits without the socks on the outside now! I was tempted to pick up a couple more preemie outfits, but now that she's fitting into the newborn stuff I'm glad I didn't. We would have only gotten a couple of weeks of use out of them before she outgrew them.
We spent the morning and part of the afternoon out running errands and having lunch with DH. Since the kids are out of school, I was desperate for things to get them out of the house before they drove me insane. So I made them "help" me shop. Cora wasn't having the car seat after about 15 minutes, so I had to carry her. I had the sling in the diaper bag, but didn't think we'd be much longer, so I didn't put it on. At one point I was attempting to get something out of a freezer with Cora in my arm while they stood there and watched me struggle with the baby, and freezer door. A lady walking by reached out to grab the freezer door for me. 8 and 9 year olds are oblivious.
Tomorrow we're all going to my friends house for the afternoon. I'm excited for adult conversation.

Late to the game. We are here trying to stay sane. Lol. Trying to keep lil man up a lil longer everyday. He is the gassiest baby ever and his poop.dear baby Jesus sooo smelly. He hates to be swaddled and to be laid flat. So here we go with process of elimination. My milk is in so he is feeding heavily and sleeping heavily. But I have to pump to relieve..so here starts the conundrum.. Want to make milk but not too much, he doesn't empty me so I get too full so have to pump which encourages more..meh.

So....just got home from my sister's dinner party. We found out that she and her (female) fiancé got married at city hall by a JOP today. They are planning a "wedding" in Mexico in March 2018 and claim they got married today because they are scared of Trump.
I was home all day today. I'm feeling a certain kind of way about not being invited to city hall.

I saw Alex spit up twice today and it freaked me out. It looks like he's choking and then all this milk spills out. I knew he was spitting up often cause I'd find his pjs or crib wet. I usually burp him sitting up and now worry that's too much pressure on his tummy. His congestion isn't any better either. I haven't been able to fall asleep so far tonight.
