First, it is not a smooth transition from "I'm wearing adult diapers" to not needing even a liner. Don't be fooled by several hours' worth of nothing. Just wear a pad.
Second, I love the Always Infinity pads, but I wear them backwards. If you aren't familiar, they are wider in the back. I don't need the wide part under my butt, I need that coverage at the front! Your mileage may vary, of course, but they work great backwards if you also need the coverage up front.
Oh yes! I forgot I did that last time. It worked much better backwards for me too.
Don't step on the scale. With DD1 I lost barely anything at the beginning and worried too much about my clothes still not fitting. I did lose all the weight after about 5 months but stopped worrying about it.
This time I'm not weighing myself and accepting I'll be sporting maternity clothes for awhile.
I also have had to remind DH although we both are sleep deprived, my body just gave birth and is nursing. He easily forgets that.

I second that with my DH. I love him dearly but all he could do was complain how he had to sleep on an uncomfortable couch during the hospital stay and then would be on edge because he was "sleep deprived". Ummm no .... Sorry bud but I'm not dealing with this again. We will be even more sleep deprived with a toddler. 😭

Another "how long" question: How long until I can poop without fear/Colace? I thought I'd risk it and not take anything today (~2 weeks PP) but that was a mistake.

I was good after a week, but pregnancy doesn't make me constipated. Were you...Uh, "irregular" for several months? It might take your body time to readjust. Make sure you're drinking enough water, too. Extra if you're breastfeeding (I can't remember!) It's really easy to forget regular water with a new tiny human.
For keeping up with feeding times, pumping, diapers etc I started using a free app. So much easier than trying to keep writing it down/trying to remember. I'm using Nursing Timer right now.

Yes to the apps! I use "feed baby". But I think there are plenty out there that all accomplish the same thing.

We used feed baby last time because it was able to sync between Apple and Android! Thank you for reminding me!

I also use feed baby. You can track everything, not just when baby eats!
STM confession: I tracked the hell out of everything my toddler did as a newborn - eating, sleeping, wet and dirty diapers. I'm only tracking Max's eating, and mostly to remember which boob I need next.
I'm right there with yall. I tracked everything with DD. I'm only using it to track feedings now. Yesterday I thought about stopping that as well. I can't even imagine if I have a third child. 😀
kristhegirl I lol'd at your confession. The pedi asked me for a diaper count and I said "a lot?" Then asked me how often he feeds and I said "every few hours or so..." she was less than impressed.
I track which boob to nurse with by poking them to feel which is fullest. Ha!
Third time mom. Poor Jack gets the shaft. He does have a baby book... I might eventually fill it out... probably not. Whomp.whomp.
I also poke my boobs to figure out which one to feed. It was a habit that started with my first...DH is still embarrassed when I do it in public. Oh well...I'm too lazy to use an app and my memory is terrible.
