K ladies, I need help. We're team green again. DH and I are very different in our naming styles. Me being more classic names. Him more modern/made up names. He named our first and I named our second. I like their names because they are on my children, but in a do over DD1 would probably have a different FN. We have Ken.zie Jacq.ueline, and Elo.ise Eve.lyn. the middle names are family names.
This time we have our boy name which is my boy pick from our first; Re.id Clay.ton (middle name is a family name again) but coming up with another girl name is a battle. Here is a mishmash list of our current names. You will probably guess who's picks are who's by style. We need help, if this is another girl we're at a loss. Middle name not picked yet, I want to use Una (family name) but he does not.
Deidre Clare Madeline Laurel Isobel Siena Bellamy Aya Austen
I need suggestions! What do you love or hate, what would you add or kick off the list?

I missed your BFP - Congrats!
My top two are Laurel and Bellamy. I love Madeline, but when you aggregate all of the spellings of Madeline, it's way over-saturated right now. That spelling is 90th according to the SS database, but number 12 when you combine the spellings. So, it's trendy, if that matters to you.
If Clare were spelled Claire, It'd be another favorite.
So I'm hesitant on Madeline for a weird reason ... your other two girls have middle names with the "Lynn" sound at the end. See. I told you it was weird.
I really like deidre paired with your other girls but I'm not a fan of Aya or Bellamy.
And just something I noticed when saying these names in my head with Una. Laurel Una and Isobel Una are hard to say and you end up saying Luna - just something to think about.

We prefer to use names from family members as middle names. These are other options besides Una, unfortunately we both have very male dominated families, and a lot of VERY old fashioned feminine names.
Cynthia Nancy Ethel Clina Althea Adelia Muriel Betty (but this is also my MN) Ashley (but out because this is also DH crazy XGFs name)

littleredfish I totally understand! We prefer family names as well. No dig at your name! Just not my preference.
Is Betty the version you would want to use or would a play on that work? If you are flexible, you could use Lisbeth, Beth, or Elizabeth as a MN. It might open up your options.
Or is there a male name that might be more green, like a Riley? Or a Ray? My nieces name is Ava Ray.

Speaking of..
Avery Una sounds nice!
Oh no, I didn't assume you were.
The middle name I think might be driving us a bit on this one since the names we have left are hard to work with. That's why we chose the spelling "Clare" because it's closer to my great grandfather's name Clarence. Then there's Richard, Paul, Clayton, Charles, Walter, Alan, Bruce, Donald, William, Robert....hard names to make feminine. I forgot how hard it was to pick a name they will have for life!
I think Una is beautiful but hard to work with. If you're open to manipulating a name a bit, my fav of your mn choices is Adelia, but I think it's hard to match up with- Adele, Delia, or Adeline might line up better ( and Adeline syncs up with DD1&2 MNs) Clare Adeline or Laurel Adele
TBH I like all of your name choices (although I'm not big on alternative spellings), it's just hard to find 2 that fit!

I LURRRRVVVE Laurel. Love. Want. LOOOOVE. What about Clayton for a mn? I would give it to a girl in a heartbeat. I am not a fan of Una or the change in the Clare spelling. I think the alternative spelling would be a pain for her as she grows up. JMO. I am excited to hear what you pick
