I feel like too much of a noob on this board to start the randoms, but the last one was a few days ago, and ... We're all really new here so - here goes!
Throw your randoms thoughts, musings, whatever is probably not suited to be its own thread in here.
Also - can I propose we do monthly rather than daily randoms threads? Or if you all don't want monthly, at least weekly? We do monthly on my other bmb and it works really well. It's much nicer for those of us who sometimes can't participate every day to be able to stay caught up with what others are sharing/discussing.

I just cleaned out a kitchen drawer and found 2 or 3$ worth of expired box tops. Sadness!! (The school district I teach in is always having budget problems - low income, anti-tax, not very pro-education area. So every dollar counts.)

My dad and stepmom always do this massive cookie baking project for Christmas. I think they did at least 12 kinds this year. Yum yum yum. I'm not sure whether to hope that the reduced interest I had in sweets last pregnancy kicks in again and soon so I don't eat so many/pack on the pounds too much, or that it holds off so that I get to enjoy me fair share.
I'm the sort to eat just a few each day and make them last, not pig out all at once, but ... Less so the last year or two. For some reason having a toddler has made me eat a ton more sweets.

DD lost and born 9/18/2013 at 24 weeks (Trisomy 18) DS born 6/16/2015 (at 39 weeks 6 days, after emergency cerclage at 23 weeks and 14 weeks of bed rest)
I am not sure the benefits of weekly vs monthly, so I have no problem with either.
I have been off work since December 23rd and I had a long list of chores to do to "start the new year fresh". I have done two of them. I scrubbed out the recycling bin, and I cleaned my closet. The other 15-20 seemed very unimportant compared to taking DS to the park or sitting around reading books. I am not sure if I care.

I made good luck NY dinner.... And now we are watching football. Go Hawks! DS has preschool back in session tomorrow, DD is still out through tomorrow, so we'll be trying to get back into the grind again. So not much here....
As far as weekly vs monthly, I think weekly is better. It's harder to want to jump in when there's a million replies. A weekly randoms would keep the conversation more personal and I think more would be willing to jump in then.
Starting the new year with a temper tantrum and not one from DD. I've quit smoking cold turkey and have a caffeine headache on top of that so I am not in the most pleasant of moods today.

Good for you for quitting!! It's so hard - nicotine is evil. I hope you are able to stick to it even through all the painful withdrawal effects.
Are you quitting caffeine too or just accidentally skipped/had less today? If you're quitting maybe taper on that? Unless of course a doc said to stop caffeine immediately too. Caffeine withdrawal headaches suck and you don't need extra pain!

The caffeine is more my doing than anything else. I forgot to drink a little bit today to stop the headache but it's too late now.

Do y'all think we finally have enough people for a roster? If so, I volunteer to make one. I've been lurking on the rosters for various BMBs to see how others do it.

I'd maybe start one but some won't get their BFP until closer to the end of the month or February.

Meh. We've got a fair number of people already.
Not gonna lie, I kinda want one because I'm already having trouble keeping everyone's stories straight. It's easier to access one Google spreadsheet than it is to check multiple intro threads.

I guess I'm in the minority but I love daily randoms. Especially as pregnancy progresses and there's things you want to share or vent about. A weekly or monthly thread would get so crowded whereas a daily thread it's so nice just to be able to start fresh each day with getting caught up. I start to get anxious when threads get past the 5 page mark and then I just stop reading.

Sorry, noob here. Can someone direct me to a definition of what a "roster" entails?

It's basically a spreadsheet in Google docs where people can list info they want to share. Like EDD, team G/B/P, pregnancy/child history, appointment dates, etc. So it makes it easy to look someone up if you don't remember their story. Most BMBs sort it by due date so you can see who shares one with you.

I had my paragard IUD taken out because it was causing severe back pain and haven't had a stitch of back pain in almost 6 months... Until last night. I'm seriously in so much pain and Tylenol is not helping at all. It'd be easier if it happened when I turned a certain way or did something but it's just constantly there. Idk how I'm going to parent today, will probably have to tag in DH to take over.

Thanks RajahMD! I am on board to set one up whenever

That sounds awful! Did you have back pain with your first pregnancy too? Dies heat or ice help?
