cheshie6 I really like it. That was the same reason that started watching it. It's really interesting to think about what if. But there's also this weird twist with some films that they're getting into more season 2.
@badwolf321 We're on season 2!
waitwhatcheshie6 I tried Blue Apron for a couple weeks. It's $60 a week for 2 portons of 3 meals (so about $10 per meal). IMO unless you're really good in the kitchen to begin with, it will not save you any time to make dinner. The meals are really good and I enjoyed trying some different ingredients but the prep time took us twice as long as what's on the recipe card and it made more mess to clean up than our average meat and veggie meals. If you want to try it, I might be able to send you a free week if I can still get into my account. If not, you can find $30 off coupons pretty easily. But if you're mostly interested in the delivery part of it, it might be worth looking into grocery delivery instead.
goldenlove3 I received a $30 off coupon in the mail so that's what peaked my interest. Of course you can't see anything on their website until you create an account. I really just wanted to do a trial without having to sign up for any sort of commitment but not sure if that's an option.
You can skip weeks and cancel without an issue. I did 2 weeks then kept skipping for a month before I finally decided to just deactivate my account so I don't accidently get a meal.
goldenlove3 thoughts? Do you think it's as good as season one?
We're only a few episodes in but I like it so far. It's definitely more into the "other" world than the first season so I'm curious where it's going to go.
I'm intrigued by Man in the High Castle. We just finished The Crown, which I loved. There's a list of shows a mile long we've started and then dropped, bc I'll fall asleep and get behind, or we hit a slow episode and I lose interest. It drives DH nuts. We've done well with Downtown Abbey, TWD and a couple others; I think if I suggest a new series before we finish some of the others, DH will lose it So Man in the High Castle may have to wait.
Cute Partner was a huge, huge fan and always telling me that MH and I should try it. Also he was huge into subscription services in general; he tried to talk me into getting H a sock subscription for Christmas 😂 He was not on a budget.
That said, my nanny recently started using it and she really loves it too. She and her H are trying to eat healthier and I know she feels like she's getting to try new, healthy things and is really enjoying the food. I can't speak to her experience with the prep but in terms of quality/value she is definitely happy with it.
