UGH I am struggling. The traveling was just too much.
On top of it, my cycle was off and I was very worried I was KU. I'm not, and knew I wouldn't be, but it was a 38 day cycle and now that AF has arrived it is killing me. So that paired with travel exhaustion and I really feel like I can't catch up.

Our festivities still aren't done. We have DH's family coming tonight for Christmas. 5 kids 4 and under and 7 adults. Christmas was cancelled earlier from illness. Then Saturday we have his entire family Christmas (not here thankfully lol). Many more kids and adults.
Our house is back in order though. We took the tree down early because E wouldn't leave it alone.

We have another Christmas celebration this coming weekend. Then I'm taking Christmas down come hell or high water.
In Other news Ks ear infection and fever is finally gone and her tooth is almost through. But of course the antibiotic destroyed her stomach and she has had the worst diarrhea for 3 days. Her poor butt looks like hamburger and she screams bloody murder whenever we try to change her. We did a ton of diaper free time yesterday and I got a spray for burns that numbs the area. Its helping a little and hopefully with no more antibiotics in her system her stomach will get better. This poor kid has had one thing or another since Thanksgiving.
Another Christmas get together for us this coming weekend too. It's only an hour away in no traffic, but there's always horrible traffic so we are staying overnight and driving home in the morning. Thank you employee discount at the hotel! A has had a low grade fever for 2 days but is acting perfectly fine. Hovering right around 100. At what point do I worry? I'm only giving her Tylenol at bedtime, hoping the fever will fight whatever this is. She never gets fevers with teething.
I'm ready for a break. J is going to daycare tomorrow even though I'm off until Thursday. I just need a few hours to myself.
He is finally well. *knocks on wood* It never lasts very long, but I can hope. Man he is a stinker when he feels good. It's impossible to bathe and dress him, change his diaper, get him to sit still for more than 0.02 seconds....you get the idea.
We started the Whole30 today. We'll see how it goes.
Well H and I are recovered from travel and food poisoning! Our trip was weird since we were so sick and missed Christmas. But it was so much more chill than thanksgiving so mostly recovered except LOs sleep. So tired!
Tomorrow is back to work etc. I am a little nervous to be honest. Right before the end of the year the company announced that our dept head got a mega mega promotion. So well deserved, she is honestly the greatest and her new role is going to be great for her and the company. But I don't want her to leave us!!! She is the reason I'm still there. She is basically a pioneer for how to treat working moms in a mostly male dominated industry and company, on top of just being a genius and great dept head. I'm nervous about who will replace her, which they have not announced yet. I am so happy with my work situation right now (I basically feel like a SAHM who works sometimes) and I hope that it doesn't go away.
J's appointment to get her cast off is the 13th. Based on what she had started doing before she got it and what she has been doing now even with it on, I have a feeling she is going to be WAY more mobile. I'm not ready... lol

I had hip dysplasia as a baby and had a leg brace. My mom says that I was walking two days after I got it off. I wouldn't be surprised if J does something similar. Good luck. Lol.

E got a Chuckle Ball from her Papa for Christmas today. She freaking loves it. I would totally recommend it as of right now anyways! My 4 year old also loves it (like she feels about all her sister's things).
I am so pleased that it was actually a productive weekend. We cleared the tree out and all the holiday stuff. We also rearranged the living room and clean out old baby stuff.
I have a work Christmas/new year celebration on Friday too.

Happy New Year! I resolve to keep up with you ladies more.
My SIL made a sensory/busy board for her 1yo and it is so cute. Grandmas are clueless sometimes ... Like the one time my MIL bought my 3yo Shopkins for Christmas when I specifically said I was avoiding those things because they are so small and we have a 10mo crawling around and eats everything in his path. Just more tiny crap for me to keep track of.

It was back to work today and J started at his new daycare. So naturally last night was the best night to be awake from 10:45-1:15. He wound up sleeping in bed with us, so I didn't get much sleep. Super awesome - as I'm trying to kick a cold.
We moved J back to the infant car seat because it was just too hard to get her in and out of the convertible car seat with her cast. And she's been sleeping in our bed since we didn't want run the risk of waking her up while moving her after she has nursed to sleep. Only a week and a half left!

jewel441, I wanted to tell you that the piano was a complete hit. We ended up using the seat since she would play longer if she didn't have to stand the entire time. She did figure out how to move it forward and back by basically slamming her entire body weight in that direction. lol.

Within the last two weeks K has learned a handful of words that are no longer randomly said or babbled, waves bye bye on cue, and can high five when prompted. The mental leaps always amaze me and I forget how much she knows and how fast she can learn.

I am so miserable at work that I made the decision to apply to nursing school and, if accepted, quit work and go back to school FT for a year and a half. I've been searching for jobs since I got laid off in June 2014 and sort of gave up. I have been working at my current job since October 2014 and have been miserable here.
So of course today I get an email for a phone interview for a job back in my original field. Of course that would happen.
