Let's spread a rumor that there was a wild feud among the June '16 mamas on FB and now a bunch of people aren't talking to each other. Lots of cruel insults and swear words were flung about wildly. Lots of vicious memes were posted.
Or maybe it's just politics.
So much drama. I feel like my home board (CD) had a split this year and is broken but rebuilding- and I miss many old friends who left. And I post in and read a few checkins on SAIF but people over there seem to be all stirred up over things I can't keep up with. I'm glad we at least have a small group here to chat!

Stringy lol I was joking. I think the ladies of J'16 are the friendliest most drama-free internet group I've ever been part of. We can't even have a real FFC thread - I recall the most controversial topic that ever came up involved whether or not you like pickles.

Haha I was about to say... I feel like our group both here and on FB never could muster any conflict! When there is conflict swirling all around it is a really nice oasis.

There is so much going on on Parenting. I can only keep up with a few threads when I have a lot of time, which usually means when E wants to nurse all night or something, but I still only manage to read hours or days too late to actually participate.
microworm, super impressed you can keep up with the blinds. Goals.
Parenting is a great place to be if you ever feel like jumping in.
What exactly happened on NJCD? I lurk from time to time to see new fluff, but I am in enough CD FB groups that I don't post over here.
nothing noteworthy - I think it was somewhat a progression of people who'd been around for years/pre TCF and new people and not always getting along and some moved on. i'm sure there were individual grievances in there but I'm not gonna air them.
we don't really talk about diapers all that much, though - jump in.
I just clicked on the June 2016 angels thread and clicked on flojo's name and saw she has a 3 month old. Made me very happy to see she had a successful pregnancy after her loss. Just thought I'd share some happy news I lurked across.

Awww, that's so good to hear!! I get so excited when I learn of the rainbows of my fellow F16 loss moms and our J16 loss moms. It makes my heart happy.

My baby ate french fries today. This is a kid who has rejected most attempts to feed him solids and has only tried a handful of fruits and veggies. We were at a restaurant, he was on my lap, he engaged in some very purposeful reaching. French fries it is.

Hahaha DD has had some sweet potato fries. She loved them. And it kept her from melting down at the restaurant.

That sounds like my baby! I love "very purposeful reaching"
We got a Sophie giraffe this weekend from his grandparents. I didn't know why this toy was so popular and I hadn't wanted to buy one because of the cost and the pictures of mold, but he LOVES it. Baby magic. No wonder it's so popular!!!

Hot glue the hole closed! We just cut ours open to find it infested with mold 😖 I never submerged it in water but I'm sure baby drool got in there.
We tried peanut butter tonight, and the kiddos LOVED it! They've been pretty meh on most foods so far, but they gobbled it right up! Also G started getting on all fours and rocking this weekend. And he sat himself up on his own at the sitter's today. WHY ARE THESE BABIES GETTING SO BIG?!

DD2 loves pb too. I give her a big spoonful and let her feed herself. Gives me 15 minutes to actually eat.
GOmamab15greysonsmom I have the sophie teething ring and regular sophie and he likes the ring just as much and there's no chance of mold.
We have the rings, too. I call them our mini Sophies. And I was very glad when I looked them over and they had no openings. Now the bath toys L loves to chew on....those I may need to look at closer.

Oh goodness, I didn't even think about those bath toys! Definitely will have to look at those!
