Re: vacation - anywhere with good weather and good wine and no children I suppose. Although I don't see any of that happening soon
Re: dishes - sponges. But most stuff goes in our dishwasher
Re: how I found us - I lurked periodically while pregnant, posting 1 or 2 times but there was so much going on and I didn't really have the time. Then when I went back to work and was pumping I used to lurk while pumping- I split my time between here and breastfeeding board but started to spend more here bc everyone was in the same place. I never really posted a lot bc by the time I would get on everything was already said.
I followed everyone over here and still don't post much, but am way more active then before.
I'll admit back in the day I used to find the drama sort of funny as an 'outsider'. But this is much nicer.
Both of their avatars was a picture of them running.
I thought kfran's was a picture of her wearing a jean skirt. I must have made that up!
You're right, I just searched on tb because she changed her pic on here to one that Kama drew. She is standing with her legs shoulder width apart wearing shorts. I think when they are tiny on my phone it kind of looked similar to Joelies.

I caught MH washing our high chair tray with the sponge in our sink. I just about puked. It's used for cleaning nasty things before putting them in the dishwasher. I'm sure it's insanly disgusting. He said he used hot water so it was fine....
If I hand wash anything I use paper towel or a new sponge.
I hand wash as little as possible. We used the Ikea scrub brushes and seventh generation dish soap. What's with the dishwasher hate?? I love having one.
Vacation - right now, somewhere warm. Hawaii sounds nice minus the flight.
I used the knot during wedding planning so when I got pregnant I knew TB was there. I only posted sporadically and mostly just lurked the N13 board, although I always found lurking on the Dads board to be a fun pastime. After L was born I was off for a while, and when I logged back on everyone was gone! Someone had posted to tell people to google TCF, and found you again when I did. Then I officially came out of lurkdom!
I mainly use the dishwasher but sponge for hand washing when needed. Actually DH does a lot of the hand washing. Which probably means that sponge is really old..:/
snoopmommymom I remember tsung numbers. She was nice. One of the ladies that just disappeared not long after the kids were born. She came back one day randomly to ask about training a puppy.
@allofyou, if you could change one thing about your wedding day, what would you change?
This is simple for me... Between 2 wedding planners and 4 BMs, no one realized my dress was fucking bustled when I walked down the aisle!!! I'm so sorry that no one got to see the beautiful train on my wedding gown, in all its glory.

I would be so disappointed! My dress had a huge train and I loved it.

Exact same here! I never realized it until the reception when I went to "bustle" my dress. It had been bustled all day, but by then one or two of the bustle had broke so we had to find safety pins to put it up so I could dance. So disappointing!
chrisy01 , I had something similar. The cake was in the wrong colors. I don't think anyone else noticed except me. It was done in peaches and pinks. It was suppose to be in blues. The design and flavor of the cakes was right, just not to my color scheme.
May I add that I am forever grateful I got married before the pintrest craze.

OMG yes. I heard about pinterest a couple of months before our wedding but I had everything planned already. Thank God. My wedding was exactly what I wanted at the time, but if I were planning it today, it would probably be quite different.
One thing I would for change would be the invitations. I spent way too much on the invitations because I wanted a pocket invitation with like 3 detail cards (reception information, directions, RSVP card & envelope) inside and a ribbon to close it. Now, I would just do a 5x7 invitation with reception details on the back and a RSVP postcard. I mean, who wants to keep track of all of those cards?
Re: the wedding, I'd change a few things. I should have invited who I wanted and ignored my Mom inviting random extended family members who didn't come anyway. I would have loved to have a few more friends there. And I should have hired someone to do my makeup. A friend did it and it wasn't great. DH had me cutting all the corners and we came well under budget - I could have easily afforded it.
The important things were great though - I loved my dress and the cake was incredible.

I wouldn't have changed anything about my wedding. We had a really big over the top wedding, we were actually offered to do a few reality shows in the process, which, hard pass. I know a lot of people say (and said to me) that they wouldn't spend all that money on one day, but it was perfect. I looked at it's throwing the best party of my life and I did. I actually watched my wedding recap video last night because it brings a smile to my face.
There are a few things I would change about my wedding. Backstory: we had to move up our wedding 6 months because of my MIL/FIL so things were cut and changed because of that. I didn't get the flowers I wanted because they were out of season, I would have had my older sister as a bridesmaid instead of my cousin, and I would have had an actual reception instead of just a dinner and then going to a bar.

My SM was disappointed that I didn't let her hire the more expensive light person to do the lights behind the band, but I thought it was perfect. I do wish I hadn't picked a zit the day before though...Shockingly it didn't make it disappear. Thank God for professional photographers and Photoshop.
@anyone - Anything crazy happen at your wedding (any kind of crazy, good, bad, or weird or funny) that stands out?
I didn't want to invite a lot of my mom's side. The amount of drama and dysfunction is seriously unfathomable. I might put an update in the daily.
Anyway, my mom talked me into inviting some cousins and I agreed, against my better judgement. While I was waiting for the ceremony to start, one of my bridesmaids ran back to the dressing room to tell me she was not happy to see "some hoochie with thick thighs wearing the world's shortest dress." Remember how I told you I used to stage dance at raves? Wearing burlesque type outfits, okay. For someone to tell me an outfit is inappropriate, believe me, it's baaaaaaad.
So I'm thinking, "WTF, Pete's friends. Can you not make sure you have a date that is wearing appropriate wedding attire?!"
Pete and my mom came in the room shortly after and I told them about what my spy said. My mom sheepishly admitted, "It's your cousin."
Yeah, one of the ones I didn't want to invite in the first place.
