My great-aunt passed away earlier this week so we had her funeral today. It was nice to see my extended family and they were all so happy to meet Hazel. I hate that it seems like the only time all the extended family is together anymore is for funerals.
After, we came home and all 5 of us napped. It was amazing.

We use gripe water pretty regularly, but Nora also has a few fussy hours every night from 7-10ish. I remember the same thing with DD1 too. I do think the gripe water works, and we only give half the dosage because the called for dosage is huge for a newborn to take from a dropper- or at least my newborn!
Nora is struggling to take a bottle, so we're going to have to start trying more often since I go back in 2 weeks. She'll be at daycare with me, so I plan on pretty much exclusively breastfeeding her there since her room is right across from my desk- but there are going to be times I'm in meetings or off site where she'll need to take a bottle. So far with dr browns, tommee tippee, and playtex nursers we've had no luck. DH always try's because I know I smell like milk, hoping we have bottle success soon!

Sorry for your loss
My family dynamic has been like that in the past few years. We only see each other for weddings and funerals.
We use gripe water for hiccups. She gets so mad with them. Or they happen when she's trying to fall asleep. It ends them right away. I don't give her the full dose either, as half seems to do the trick.
