Not our best night here. B's bottom two teeth are moving up and he's pretty stuffy. I hate using the nose Frida at 5am because he gets so pissed and is hard to get back to sleep.
He just woke up again after his second nursing session and is basically playing in his crib. Dammit. FX he falls back asleep without needing me. He's already scooted up his crib though.
Friday night was a shit show and yesterday night didn't look promising. But after her fighting sleep from 9-10 she went down and we had a good night. Feel so much better today

I came down with the stomach flu (and so did DD1) on Friday night and it lasted to yesterday. DH left for an out of town wedding Friday morning so it's just been me taking care of sick DD1 and the baby while being sick myself. Blah. But we're better now.
comicSans I'm not doing anything different for her weight. They want daycare to offer bigger bottles. Currently she's at daycare 8-4 and I feed her at 7:45 before drop off and 4:00 at pickup. She takes 3 4oz. bottles (so 12 oz.). The pediatrician wants us to offer bigger bottles but she doesn't always drink her full bottle to begin with so who knows. I nurse her on demand at home and throughout the night. DD1 also had a big percentile drop between 4-6 months so I really just think this is genetics. I'm on the petite side and although DH is tall he's not heavy. I asked about doing solids but the pediatrician said really she just needs as much milk as possible. So I plan on having daycare also giving 2-3 oz. of rice cereal that's been made with breastmilk during the day so that will be at least something too.
rungirlrun I totally hear you about not wanting them to poop before the weight check! We go back in 3 weeks and I'm already nervous.
Thanks ellebelle I'm home so DS is still bf on demand all the time. He never seems like he's not satisfied so I'm not sure what else I could do. At 4 months pedi wasn't concerned and said he was on his own little curve so I'm curious to see if he's still on it - I hope so. If not, I'm tying to look at it as an opportunity to figure out if there's an issue and fix it, and try my to remember if there is an issue, it's not a reflection on me or anything I'm doing wrong.

@comicsans, I wouldn't worry just yet especially if you are NOD and baby seems satisfied. My LC assured me not to put a whole lot of stock in percentiles especially the first year. it is very typical for BF babies to gain a lot months 0-3 and then have their curves slow down considerably between 4-6 months. Especially after they become more active. Mine NOD and went from 80 something to 40th, but he doesn't look thin. Also keep in mind those percentiles are based on a bunch of white, Ohioan FF babies. Not a small control group at all!
Re: percentiles... We're the other side of the coin, but on the CDC growth chart my kid went from the 7th percentile at 2 days old to the 96th percentile at 4 months. That is not a typo. Our pedi is pretty laid back and didn't even mention it. They are all individuals for sure.

Thanks, I know our pedi isn't big on percentiles either, she just wants to see him stay on his curve. I'm pretty sure she uses the correct who chart for bf babies - I remember her showing me with dd where bf babies level off for a bit. I am a white Ohioan though! He's definitely grown, but I don't think he's gained much since 4 months. We go on Tuesday so we'll see then - I've been preparing myself by obsessing over it, naturally. Dd is petite but she was always sort of mid range so this wirey little dude is new territory for me.
