Fuck. I literally feel like the worst mom ever today. Em is driving me absolutely insane. I'm soooo tired. I don't feel like dealing with her ridiculous toddler shenanigans.
No you don't need to be constantly picked up. No you don't need to change your princess underwear fiftyleventy times.
I just want to go hide in my room under the covers. Preferably with a massive pile of chocolate and a sappy movie.
ourcrazynavylife I feel this way more then I should. Especially being pregnant. Hugs mama you are doing great and it is just that wonderful toddler age. ashlantic funny that you caught that on camera not so funny he's climbing out. My piece of advice for switching to a toddler bed is lots of patience.
AFM, talking to a friend do who has the same OB as me and she said he induced her at 39 weeks because she was measuring big, she did have a 10 pound baby, now I am wondering if he is thinking that with me. I will have to ask him next week when I go back. I would just like to plan if that is the case, especially since DH has a music gig out of town. that paid in advance and is big bucks on the 4th of Feb. My EDD is the 13th
Dh got lo's crib converted to a toddler bed when he got home from work. Lo seems pretty excited about it. We'll see how bedtime actually goes.
During naptime I started reading that Marie Kondo book on decluttering. My yoga teacher is doing it and recommended it. The whole process seems like a huge, overwhelming task, but if it can help with all the piles of clutter, I'm in. I feel like I spend more time dealing with clutter than anything else.

Hugs ourcrazynavylife toddlers really do require a lot of patience. It's tiring but you're not a bad mom. She'll get over it.
ashlantic lol, he got caught in the act. GL transitioning!
nemomof2 you're so close to the end! Can't wait to meet your new LO!
raven how's your pregnancy treating you these days? How far along are you?
dashook are you solo parenting for a while? Today I had my first exeperience trying to get us all out the door and on-time to my appt. I made it but only because Leo actually cooperated which is rare. GL with yours!
I did nothing today and it was awesome. We didn't go anywhere, didn't do anything fancy. DD stayed in jammies all day, and I played it casual with a shirt and leggings that don't match. Tomorrow is story time at the library and its been months, so that will be nice. All these toddlers moving into "big kid" beds is starting to make me wonder. DD has never tried to climb out. Is she that content in her caged environment? I'm probably over thinking this. Going to order a potty. Hoping to start the training process on her birthday.
raven FWIW my DS is still in a crib and seems quite content in there. I'm sticking with it as long as possible! littlelion DH went back to work last week and I had my nanny with me to mostly handle DS so I can have some semblance of a relaxing maternity leave with DD. But she's sick this week so it's been just me this whole week and today she texted and said her doctor recommended she stay home the next two days too since she shouldn't be around a newborn. So, two more days, two more days...

My 6 wk pp appt was this morning. It went well. I was very touched at how everyone helped me out when they saw I had a baby and a toddler. And Leo behaved surprisingly well.
I got cleared for all activity. My bp continues to normalize so my meds are being adjusted down. And thru the miracle of breastfeeding I'm down to below prepreg weight even though I eat so much. Yesterday, after lunch, I was still hungry. So, I baked a cake...cause only carbs will do.
raven one of my friends kept her ds in his crib until he was 3 because he was content and not trying to escape. Her reasoning- if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Lol I planned to keep lo in his crib for as long as possible, but clearly my wild child had other ideas. Have fun at storytime today! dashook hang in there! littlelion way to go, mama! Glad you had a good appt and that your kiddos cooperated. ourcrazynavylife dh and I joke that if we ever have another and it's a boy, we screwed because we already used the one boy name we like and can't agree on another. Is Gregory out then? Or is it just the middle name giving you trouble?
Well, lo's first night in the toddler bed went surprisingly well. (Omg, I hope I didn't jinx it now.) In the morning when he woke up he hopped right out of bed and wandered around his room, but otherwise he stayed put all night. We keep his door closed at night and it'll likely stay that way because the master bedroom is on the 1st floor and his is upstairs. Don't really want my kid to be roaming the entire upstairs. It's currently pouring freezing rain so we'll be staying home today. I should probably take advantage of not going out and get the house ready for lo's party Saturday. Tomorrow I have a ton of running around to do.
ourcrazynavylife I am glad we only had 1 girl because it was so hard for us to find a girls name that we both liked! ashlantic yay, so glad you first night went so well! *knocks on wood* for you. littlelion so glad your appt went well and your BP is normalizing. raven we would have kept this LO in the crib but he started to climb out. We put one of those child door knob cover on so he couldn't open the door from the inside also, but he figured out how to take it off and was wondering the house at 2 and 3 a.m., not funny. Boys I think are so much different then girls. If she is content keep it the way it is.
I ate my feelings in KitKats and chocolate donuts this evening. But I had a veggie filled dinner so it totally balances out right
First day of spring classes tomorrow. Almost done!!
Also, this baby naming thing is about to make me bezerk. Mom's of multiple boys idk how you did it. Boy names are wayyyyy harder than girl names.
Boy names are harder. And even harder when you have another kiddo- I was always stressed about making the names work together. You will see his little face and know what's right for him soon enough.
I ended up sending DS to backup care provided by H's work. I'm having the best day just hanging out and relaxing with the tiny one. Hard to believe she's 8 weeks old today! Feeling a little guilty though like I "got rid of" the toddler but I needed this. Also he apparently fell and got a cut under his eye while there. H went to see him and said it doesn't look too bad but I still feel awful

Do not feel bad. You and the little needed this time too!

LO has also apparently been being rough with friends at school, which doesn't surprise me bc he's also being rough with the animals at home. And he just laughs when we tell him no. Anyone have any good tips on teaching not to do things at this age? He is wearing. Me. Out.
ourcrazynavylife good luck with the names. For lo, we ended up having 2 middle names and we just chose one once he was born. dashook don't feel bad! Your DS got to go play with other kiddos and new toys and you got some 1 on 1 time with your dd. laceysbryan LT for solidarity with stubborn toddlers. He hasn't been hitting or kicking lately, but definitely refusing to listen and laughs at us when we get after him about it. Like dude, I get that you're trying to assert your independence, but maybe turn it down a few notches. Sorry your MIL is piling on too.
Busy, busy day here. Got lo a long overdue haircut and ran errands for his party this morning. Straightened up the house during naptime. Baked cupcakes after he went to bed.
One of my bff's just had her baby, so my parents came to babysit lo so dh and I could go meet him. He is so sweet, and it's giving me ALL the baby fever.
laceysbryan, hope you got some wine! I have had a couple now and it's doing the trick after this week. ashlantic congrats to your friend! Have fun with LO's party!!
We are over here preparing for what they are claiming is going to be a huge ice storm starting Sunday into Money. DH is going to be out of town during the majority of it, possible stuck where he is going to be longer. Now I am terrified of going into labor while all this is going down.
dashook, Don't feel bad, its great bonding time for you and DD and fun for your DS. I routinely send just one of my kids with Grandma so the other one can have time with just me. The one going with grandma also thinks its a special treat.
ashlantic, Aww all the little tiny babies. Hope you are having a great party, we had to reschedule because everyone was sick that was going to come, it was a really small with just grandparents and DHs sister and her husband.
nemomof2 yikes, stay safe! Sending good vibes your way that your baby stays put during the ice storm!
Lo's birthday was a success. He loved his cupcake (unlike last year's cake smash where he cried like we were the WORST for even feeding him cake) and all the balloons. He had zero interest in opening his presents and just wanted to play instead. I don't think he likes being the center of attention.
He ended up skipping his nap and was a tired wreck by the evening. He definitely went to bed early. I'm exhausted too. Dh is already snoring on the couch. Lol

Eesh. I responded to the wrong post. Let's try this again- I will keep FX crossed for you- sending you lots of closed cervix prayers til YH gets home!

I knew what you meant Thanks for all the positive thoughts! Hopefully he will be home early Tuesday.
I slept like shit last night. Could not fall asleep, randomly got nauseous for 2 hours, tossed and turned more, then DH calls me at 5am! I'm happy he called, don't get me wrong. He was out with friends in Portland and told me most of the gossip. I'm definitely getting coffee this morning, and napping when she does. I am exhausted.
