How old is baby? Twins are 2 months yesterday
How are things going with baby? Feeding? Sleep?
I'm a nap nazi and I think it's been paying off at night. DD will sleep from 9pm-5am. DS still gets up once during that time.
I'm still struggling with feeding DS. He only takes between 2.5-3oz formula at each feeding. He's also on Zantac for reflux. DD chugs 4 oz with no issue. I'm going to talk to the doctor today about if I should be worried about their weight discrepancy.
How are you feeling physically or emotionally? Physically, I've been eating healthy and tracking my food. So good.
Emotionally, still working on bonding with my babies. It's been an effort.
What are your goals this week for a healthy mind/body?: track my food!

How old is baby? 3 weeks today!
How are things going with baby? Feeding? Sleep? Both are as good as can be expected, I guess. He usually eats 2oz, burps, toots, and goes through all his hunger cues again and takes another 2oz. We're starting to try and be more structured with his sleep, so right now he sleeps 2.5-3 hours at a time.
How are you feeling physically or emotionally? Physically I feel better. I'll finish my antibiotics for that infection (which is mostly staph...grrreaaaat...) and I have another check on Thursday. Hopefully I'm good to go. Emotionally is tougher. I definitely cry sooooo easily. Over dumb shit. Stupid hormones. But it's okay.
What are your goals this week for a healthy mind/body?: try to continue taking it easy. (LOL)

How old is baby? Hazel is 2 months. Almost 10 weeks to be exact
How are things going with baby? Feeding? Sleeping? Hazel is really an easy baby. I pretty much just go about my normal activities, just with a baby in tow. She eats every 3 hours during the day and gives me a 4 or 5 hour stretch most nights. I'm struggling with nursing in public because she hates having her head covered up, so I ordered some BFing friendly shirts hoping that I won't need to cover up then. She's on her own schedule for sleep still and it's working for us, so I'm not implementing a nap schedule. She will sleep when we are out & about so I don't want to mess with anything.
How are you feeling physically or emotionally? Feeling good. Hazel is sleeping good so I feel like I've finally got us on a good schedule. I started my 2nd post partum period yesterday, so meh. If only I was one of those lucky people who didn't have a period while BFing.
What are your goals this week for a healthy mind/body? Feeling good, I started back at barre last week and it did wonders for me mentally. Just getting out and doing some physical activity helped. I'm going to start back with some cardio and weights this week.
Questions/Comments/Rants/Raves: DH has a man cold and he's been sleeping in the living room on the couch. While it's nice to not listen to him cough, it also means I'm doing the MOTN wake ups solo and I'm freaking tired. He is usually the one who gets up to change her diaper and then puts her back to sleep after I feed her, so I'm not used to doing it all. He better get over this soon.

Jane is 1 month and 1 week old
Feeding - I tried to pump too much yesterday along with feeding so my boobs went on strike. Had a bunch of pain last night, but took a break with heat (shower and heating pad) and fed her with a bottle. Just got done feeding her and all is well again. She eats regular and is growing like a weed. Sleep - I confess she sleeps with me. Her Daddy sleeps in the spare room and told me last night that he misses sleeping in the same bed as me.so I am trying the pack and play bassinet more. She wakes up every 15 minutes when I put her in there, but I don't have a matress for it and I'm wondering if that would help.
Me? I'm doing OK. I'm still losing weight by doing weight watcher's. That's nice. I'm looking forward to going back to work and trying to convince myself that dropping her off at daycare is going to be fine.
Goals this week? Soak up my time with her, and get her to sleep in the bassinet. Reconnect with my husband. Although he misses sex and I couldn't care less.
Any suggestions about sleeping on her own is welcome. I'm totally jealous that your little girl sleeps through the night requiressnacks.

catherineoctober....I have no real words of wisdom. We swaddle, use an awesome white noise machine and they love their Rock N Plays. In the early days I used the 5S's quite a bit. Now I only have to swaddle and shush.
mrsp121308 where did you find your nursing tops? I'm looking for more. Also, I'm taking my first barre class Thursday, hope I survive! Boo to the man cold.
H&M. I fell in love with their maternity tops so I'm hoping I love these as much
requiressnacks, just start slow. I am starting by doing barre once a week and hitting the treadmill twice a week.
I was on bedrest off and on during 1st tri, told to not push it during 2nd tri, then back on bedrest at the end of my pregnancy, so I'm going slow to ease back into activity but it's making me feel so much better mentally.
How are things going with baby? Feeding? Sleep? Baby is generally doing well. We are breastfeeding, and he eats like a champ (up to 9 lb 2.2 oz at his appointment on Thursday, from 7lb 12 oz at birth. He is, however, a very reluctant burper - he needs to burp, but doesn't give them up easily, so he tends to spit up or get an upset tummy when the gas makes its way out the other end. Sleep-wide, we've still mostly been letting him set his own schedule. At night, if we put him down around 10:30, he tends to get up twice to eat, around 2 and 5 (if we want to go to bed earlier and put him down earlier, he gets up around 10:30/11 to eat too). Naps tend to be on me or in the bouncy seat or swing or whatever baby holding device is convenient, but at night he sleeps swaddled in the PackNPlay next to our bed. The last few nights, I've moved him, still swaddled, to the stationary RnP in the middle of the night because his nose has been kind of stuffy and he keeps waking up frustrated that he can't breathe clearly (but breathes better with the incline). I'd like to try to get him on a little bit more of a regular schedule as the month progresses.
How are you feeling physically or emotionally? Physically, I'm feeling much better in terms of healing from my 3rd degree tear from baby's delivery. Still a little bit uncomfortable, but not too bad. However, this weekend I developed mastitis due to a clogged duct (and learned that mastitis is excruciatingly painful), so I had to re-up my Advil dose and started on antiobiotics last night, which already seem to be helping. Motionally, doing pretty well, except for yesterday when I was crying over my poor infected boob (though to be fair, part of that was due to the pain).
What are your goals this week for a healthy mind/body?: Take it easy to recover from this mastitis (and get that blocked duct fully unclogged!)
How are things going with baby? Feeding? Sleep? Right now we're exclusively breastfeeding, and it's going well so far. We've had some ups and downs, especially due to what I think is forceful letdown, but we're making it work. Similar to @sheepsish, I have a reluctant burper who also spits up. She takes in a lot of air while nursing, so that can cause some crankiness. Trying to burp more often and just get used to being spit up on. I'm still waking her up every three hours during the day to feed, which means I get a little bit of a break at night. I also need to figure out how the hell a breast pump works so I can start pumping maybe once a day, but I find it super intimidating. I'd like my husband to be able to feed her on occasion, and also start building a stash for when I go back to work. I'm just scared of messing with her latch/my supply.
As far as sleep goes, we don't have her on a nap schedule during the day, but since we have her on a feeding schedule, it seems to naturally fall in line. I normally feed her around 10 p.m. and put her in the Mamaroo around 11 p.m. She's usually up between 1-2 a.m., and again around 5 a.m., which really isn't so bad. I try to take the first wakeup on my own, but I let my husband change her and put her back to sleep after the second wakeup. I figure it's only fair, since he's not feeding her every 3-4 hours.
How are you feeling physically or emotionally? Physically I feel good, but I can tell my core muscles are super weak. I've been looking into how to slowly rebuild them, and I'm hoping to get cleared to go back to barre in two weeks. Emotionally I'm doing better (read, not sobbing every day), but still get weepy at times, mostly about the thought of leaving her to go to work or whatever. Still working through it.
What are your goals this week for a healthy mind/body?: Yesterday I went to Target and Starbucks, and I know getting out did me some good. I'm hoping to get dressed every day, get out for more walks and just make some time for myself.
Questions/Comments/Rants/Raves: Gosh, this whole newborn thing is amazing and also frustrating. I get so irritated, and then feel incredibly guilty to be irritated at this little, perfect person. It's a challenging cycle that I'm trying to work through.
catherineoctober....I have no real words of wisdom. We swaddle, use an awesome white noise machine and they love their Rock N Plays. In the early days I used the 5S's quite a bit. Now I only have to swaddle and shush.
I just bought a Rock N Play. Amazon makes things way too easy. Thanks!!

It's 46 degrees here. We just got done being in the negatives so I feel like I could go take Jane on a walk, but we probably won't. Just got done with bath time. Our dog find all his toys that we're lost to the snow though! LOL
How are things with baby? Feeding?Sleep? Things are going well. If she's full she'll sleep for almost 4 hours, hoping to get to let her do that once she hits her birth weight. Feeding is getting better with each feeding. Hopefully be off the supplemental formula by this time next week.
How are you feeling? Physically pretty good. My swelling is virtually gone and I'm in my maternity pants for our appointment today. My incision is healing well too. Emotionally I'm much better now that we're back on track with feeding. I was sobbing with almost every feeding up until yesterday.
Goals this week: Continue to make progress on feedings, try to get some walks in when it's not raining.
Questions/comments/rants/raves: My mom heads home today. I'm so glad she's been here this week. I also have a rant, MIL was at the hospital when I gave birth(which I did not want) and was actually in the room when I came out of my section for recovery. She has no sense of how inappropriate it was. Even if DH had asked her back after he almost fainted she should have left. She had no business being in my recovery room and then later invited in BIL/SIL in. I was too out of it to really be mad at the time but I've told dh I am really super pissed at her right now.
How are things going with baby? Feeding? Sleep? -- She's eating well and tolerates her Similac great. Sleep would be amazing if she'd do it in her own space, or on her back.
How are you feeling physically or emotionally? My PP anxiety is still an issue. It's getting better, but not better enough for me to feel okay with it. It still hits many times a day, hard.
What are your goals this week for a healthy mind/body?: I'm trying to eat less crap. Crap is convenient unfortunately.
Lucy, don't be afraid to ask for help. Everyone made me feel crazy when I had PPA with DD1, heck even I thought I was crazy. But PPA is real and can really consume you.
I wish Cora liked the RnP. I'm going to talk to the doctor about it all on Friday when I take the older kids in for check ups. I have a hard time believing that she's safer sleeping on top of an exhausted me than on her belly in an empty PnP. I feel like I'm doing the wrong thing no matter what, or no one gets any sleep at all.

We had our two month pedi appointment today!
Gianna is 11 lbs, 9 oz and is in the 75th percentile on the regular growth chart! Also, she's 21.5 inches.
Gabriel is still a peanut and is 9 lb, 1 oz and is just barely on the growth chart at like the 5th percentile. He's doing OK on the preemie growth chart though. And he's 21 inches.
It was pretty stressful taking both babies by myself, especially when they did shots and both babies were screaming their heads off. But we survived!
Lucy Sorry you're still struggling with sleeping arrangements and anxiety. Hope you get some help and baby starts sleeping on her own soon. requiressnacks yay on a good appt and chunkier babies! Plus handling shots on your own!

Nora is 8 weeks old today- holy cow! No idea where the last 8 weeks went!
We are exclusively breastfeeding and struggling for her to take a bottle of pumped milk. In a moment of fear realizing I go back to work in 2 weeks I texted my infant teacher and asked for bottle recommendations. She told me medela calma nipples so off we will go tomorrow to BRU to buy one and see if it works! Also- I really don't like pumping. My nipples are never sore breastfeeding but always sore after pumping.
Sleep is going ok. She sleeps in a co-sleeper in between DH and I in bed. She goes 2-3 hour increments at night, and if we're lucky, 4.
I feel good physically. Wish I could loose the last 6 pounds of baby weight but I know that will come. Plus, zero motivation to work out. DH does the 7 minute Alexa workout on the Amazon tap and I sit on the couch and watch.
I have my 8 week postpartum OB appointment on Thursday. I (unfortunately) have to see the doctor that delivered. Not that I don't like her, but I had much better relationships with some others at the practice. She awkwardly made a comment right after I gave birth that my vagina looked like I hadn't even given birth, especially not twice, to the nurses. I pretended not to hear her- awkward.
Hey ladies! Glad to hear that we are, in general, doing well!
How old is baby? She'll be four weeks on Wednesday.
How are things going with baby? Feeding? Sleep? We had the weekend from hell. The baby had three modes: asleep, nursing, and screaming. We called the pedi in desperation this morning and based on her behavior/symptoms he said it sounded like she has reflux. Several hours of keeping her upright and one dose of Mylanta later, she's her usual sweet, cheery self so I am reeeaaally hoping that's what was bothering her and we can get her on a prescription to keep her comfortable. Other than that, she's actually eating and sleeping well! She seems to have figured out how to get what she needs just from nursing, so we're done supplementing for now. My only remaining goal is to wean her from the nipple shield (I have flat/inverted nipples and she just doesn't seem to like that they aren't as protruding as the shield.)
How are you feeling physically or emotionally? Great, all things considered. My nips are sore from a frustrated baby trying to use my milk to soothe her heartburn, but I have high hopes that we're over the worst of that now. Emotionally, I feel a million times better now that we have a possible answer to her incessant crying. I could see something was hurting her and it hurt my heart.
What are your goals this week for a healthy mind/body?: Try to start doing normal things again, especially cooking. I haven't been active in my own kitchen for almost a month, between all the company we had!
Questions/Comments/Rants/Raves: Do I dare take the baby to my office this week for a farewell party for several of my coworkers, including the director of my agency? I'm a federal employee and they're political appointees who will be required to resign on January 20th when the new administration comes in. I know they'd love to see her, but I work in downtown DC and live in the burbs so getting to the office would be quite a production.
Hi ladies! It's so awesome that we all have outside babies right now! Glad to see everyone is hanging in there and surviving the newborn stage.
Where does the time go!?!? I rarely know what day it is and they all run together and suddenly a week has gone by.
How old is baby? Twinkies are 7 weeks today
How are things going with baby? Feeding? Sleep? Mostly really good. A is really hard to burp so he gets gassy a lot. C burps by just bringing him up to your shoulder most times. They usually drink 3.5oz abd occassiobally 4. Sleep is generally good. They wake up to eat every 3-4 hour day and night.
How are you feeling physically or emotionally? 2 weeks after giving birth I was 32 lbs lighter then when I got pregnant. Stepped on a scale today and thankfully have only gained back about 5lbs. I need to go back to cutting down carbs and laying off the sweets so I don't keep gaining!
What are your goals this week for a healthy mind/body?: Try cut back on carbs and go back to my GD diet.

How old is baby? a month...holy crap, time flies
How are things going with baby? Feeding? Sleep? pretty well..she's back up to birth weight so that makes them happy and we get to go 5 weeks without an appt....she eats 3 oz every 3 hrs during the day, but we're trying to get her up to 4 oz. She's also a reluctant burper and gets pissed if you try to burp her before she's done. Sometimes she'll burp easy and sometimes you spent 20 mins and don't get a burp. She sleeps as she wants during the day (usually on my chest) and at night she sleeps anywhere from 4-6 hrs and wakes once or twice a night to feed depending on what time her last bottle before bed was. We had to incline her bed due to the spitting up (she spits up A LOT but they say she doesn't have reflux) and that seems to have helped her sleep, but she'll still spit up at night and you come in the next feeding time and it's all dried in her hair from where she rolls her head around in it (gross!)
How are you feeling physically or emotionally? Physically I feel great- already wearing the same size jeans I was before pregnancy and my stitches came out on their own the other day....emotionally I have good days and tougher days...thinking about being 1/2 way through maternity leave already really gets me choked up...I also don't like people holding the baby still
What are your goals this week for a healthy mind/body?: trying to get out of my pjs each day
