onesweetworld are you getting done at the hospital? The one time I had to get blood work done there, I had to go find them after 20 minutes only to hear them go "we had no idea people were waiting!" *eye rolls*

I'm at the hospital where I will have the baby. The women's one. I have a timer on my phone and I see my time on her board.
I was in the middle of an ultra sound for my last gtt which was great. The nurse came into the ultrasound room and drew my blood during the exam. The intentionally overlap an exam of some sort with the wait time at my practice which I very much appreciate.
@osw I'm hoping my office will keep with the tradition of just having me do it at the office but seeing as I'm in that place's basement every 4 weeks anyway, they may just send me to the lab there. Sigh.

My doctors office doesn't even deliver my baby. This hospital does it all. I'm okay with it because they are good to me and know how anti-doctor I am.
I also do not have a primary care. I'm terrified of doctors.
I don't either. My insurance company hates me. It's the same copay whether I go to a PCP or an urgent care
The last time I saw a PCP was almost three years ago when I needed a referral for a rheumatologist at my OBs bequest. They tried to do a pap despite the fact that I had an OB app scheduled with a full exam the following week and gave me grief for refusing it. Sorry, I do not trust PCPs for doing gynecological stuff.

Agreed. I go to urgent care (it's $40 versus $20) I really love the doctor at our urgent care. If she was a primary, I'd see her.

Also test over with. I gagged a bit at the end and spit up some of the drink. It was the nerves and the phlebotomist kept talking to me. That doesn't help lady. I'm eating a burger now.
It's so cold here. I'm pretty sure they turned the heat off again. Being on a lower floor of a 42+ story building means our heat rises and makes us freeze. Sigh
icedtea I have heard of providers letting you test your sugar levels like a diabetic would for a week or doing some other form of food/drink that will have the same effect.
I did this. They put in a script for me to do it for a week...I got a glucometer and test strips. It's kind of a PITA and if you are afraid of needles it may be hard for you but after multiple IVF rounds and PIO shots, testing my blood sugar was the least offensive thing I had stabbed into my body in a while.
I think I'm going to ask to do this, especially since I can't handle taking care of a toddler and dealing with the shitty feeling of the sugar crash that day.
Luckily, I got over my fear of stabbing myself when I had to do lovenox injections in my stomach. I'm not looking forward to doing them again this time around but at least I don't dread it anymore

gah those last few minutes were intense bad for me. I was completely fine up until the 50 minute mark then I felt so so sick! I'm glad it's over for you!
Thank you!
Yeah at 40 minutes I was starting to feel sick. I knew the nerves were going to get to me at the end. If she shut up and let me breathe, I'd have been fine. But I did gag 3 times and got some spit up out. The minute I felt the cold air, I was perfectly normal. I feel fine now just tired.

I have no issues with needles, so this should be fine.
My grand gym plans have been crushed beneath a migraine and nausea. It started after I carried something heavy-ish. I don't think it's actually related, but I do think the baby is trolling me.

Blast, I have no money until Friday.
I shouldn't be spending any money either, but damnit I'm ready to stop wearing pants!
