Ok I have been completely slacking over here. Apologies.
Age: 6 months!
Milestones: Rolling in all directions, started sleeping on stomach, solids, sitting (this is obviously a catch-up post as she didn't do all of this in the last week)
Challenges: Really attached to me and is starting to get upset when I walk away. Also think she hasn't been feeling all that well and DH has been sick too. FX I don't get it.
Funny/cute story: We were at a Catholic funeral last week and during a really quiet time she started making her really loud razzing sounds. Everyone was trying so hard not to bust out laughing in the middle of mass.
How are you? Just ok. Anxiety is starting to creep up heavy right now. The first of the year is hard because of so many anniversaries (diagnosis, relapse, passing) and then his birthday - all within 13 days. HK has been having some off days which are I am sure normal for babies but I don't know how to process since T was diagnosed at 11 months - then we entered our new normal with treatment. I think these coming months I am just going to be a big ball of nerves.
QOTW: What's your favorite thing about your house/apartment? Least favorite? I absolutely LOVE living on the water. We have a canal in our back yard that leads out to the bay where we go fishing. It just so calming to look out the window and see the water. Least favorite is our master bathroom. Our house was built in 65 and while mostly remodeled - the size of our bathroom is that of a shoe closet. We are looking to add on sometime this year.

Milestones: Nothing really new this week. But lots of random babbles, more conversation-like.
Challenges: Nothing with him. But I looked over our budget for the next year, and we are short, and I really don't know how we are going to handle it.
Funny/cute story: He gives me kisses at random and I love it.
How are you? Fine. Just stressed about the money thing.
QOTW: We have a great backyard and a nice finished basement. And I love the small town we live in. But, it's small and the bathroom is reaaaaally small. It's just a starter house though. We won't stay for too long.
Thank you tkford216. I have found a great amount of support in this community even though I may not be a top contributor. I know my loss is different from many here on this board so I have different triggers. If you care to (and by no means feel obliged to), I have included our story in the spoiler. Feel free to ask me questions, etc as I share openly if not just to bring awareness.
On January 2, 2013, my son, Trenton, was diagnosed with Stage IV, high risk Neuroblastoma; two weeks before his first birthday. Neuroblastoma is a type of children’s cancer that occurs in the developing cells of the sympathetic nervous system that affects about 650 children a year in the U.S. During the past year, Trenton has undergone eight rounds of chemotherapy, four surgeries, a stem cell transplant that required an eight week hospital stay, 12 rounds of radiation and countless scans and hospital stays. On June 19, 2013, we heard the words that we had been waiting for – Trenton is cancer free! Trenton started his final stage of treatment, immunotherapy, during October 2013 which was scheduled to finish in February 2014. Cancer is an ugly beast – especially Neuroblastoma. The relapse rate is especially high with Trenton’s stage and risk of cancer. On January 2, 2014, a CT scan was ordered due to the right side of Trenton's face beginning to paralyze while already hospitalized for scheduled treatment of immunotherapy – his second to last scheduled hospital stay. Neuroblastoma was back and this time it had returned in his brain and was inoperable as it was located on his brain stem. Less than 24 hours later, Trenton passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family and friends on January 3, 2014.

Challenges: He is cruising on all the things. His favorite place is trying to get on the fireplace.
Funny/cute story: He is such a ham. I cannot go anywhere without at least 5 ppl saying how cute he is, alery, handsome, etc. He freaking eats it up.
How are you? I'm tired, but good.
QOTW: What's your favorite thing about your house/apartment? Least favorite? I love how big our house is and our huge lot. I don't like how old it is. It needs to be completely rewired and we found asbestos tile under our kitchen floor. Sigh. Now, I just want to move.

Milestones: baby girl is rolling, but onlt to the right, however wants to just go and is trying to move. She can go backwards a little. Baby boy rolled twice yesterday and once today so it's coming too.
Challenges: colds, they have been fighting their first cold since Christmas. They still have stuffy noses ang higher then usual temps. We go for a check up Monday so we will see then what the dr says.
Funny/cute story: the other day baby boy was proped up in the nursing pillow and I was holding baby girl in front of him and she was razzing and he was laughing. Its cute to see them interacting with each other!
How are you? I am ok. A bit sleep deprived from having 2 babies with colds. Fighting a cold myself.
QOTW: What's your favorite thing about your house/apartment? Least favorite? We live in an apartment, and we have a huge balcony and a great view of the black forest. Its awsome in summer. The least favourite thing is that the apartment is pretty old and could use some updates. Our bathroom is brown, from floor to ceiling even the sinks and toilet and bath are brown coloured. So ugly, but it is what it is and I have done my best to brighten it up with lots of teal stuff!

Age: 5 months 2 weeks
Milestones: sitting better, trying to roll from back to belly, teething
Challenges: Sleep. The combination of teething, rolling, and kind of starting solids is making for some troubling sleep and a tired mom. He was up to comfort nurse every hour from 1 am to 6 am when we got up.
Funny/cute story: he loves to bounce and when I am holding him face to face with me he will start jumping and when I help him jump he laughs so hard. He is so cute.
How are you? Tired
QOTW: What's your favorite thing about your house/apartment? Least favorite? I love that it's very open and that our master bedroom is really big. It's big enough to fit a king sized bed, a crib, changing table, a rocking chair, a desk, and office chair with enough space to walk around all that stuff. I don't really like that the kitchen and other 2 bedrooms are smaller. I really wish the builders would have taken some of the space from the master to expand the kitchen.
Someday H and I just plan to build a house because there is no way we will ever find a modest house with a giant chefs kitchen.
