If you haven't already devoured the white peppermint Twinkies, you may want to reconsider eating the sweet snack.
Hostess Brands, LLC, is voluntarily recalling its Holiday White Peppermint Hostess Twinkies because Blommer Chocolate Company has recalled the coating used on the Twinkies. The company is concerned the milk powder used in it may be contaminated with salmonella, the FDA announced.
Palmer Candy Co. is also voluntarily recalling products because of salmonella concerns linked with milk powder used in 22 of its products, including two Publix-brand products. A list of affected products can be found here.
The Hostess recall applies only to the Holiday White Peppermint Hostess Twinkies - UPC 888109111571 - which were sold in multipack boxes of nine individually wrapped treats at stores nationwide.
