theteno, we're seeing The devil makes 3. I'd never heard of them. They're coming to a small venue in Saint Paul. Not sure I'll be able to stay up much past 10 but I'm going to try!
DH and I haven't had a date night since before DS was born, and it's fine with us. We're both very low key. After DS goes to bed, we'll catch up, and spend time together. I think because we waited so long yo start a family, we don't want to be without him. (I'm 34, DH is 42) I've been to sorority meemeetings on my own, and thankfully my mom watches DS. Also, since my mom will be watching him when I return to work, I don't want to abuse the privilege.

Totally reasonable! DH and I do the same thing after our LO goes to bed. People keep telling me I need to go out and spend time with myself but I'm all, how come?? Then I'd have to pump and Id miss my babe. So why bother? Haha. They're probably right though. I need to get back into yoga and the things I loved before she came along.
We got out and went to an amusement park and dinner early December. My FMIL asked for a day alone with LO for her birthday... I couldn't come up with a good excuse not too so she got her wish.
We have gone out a few times. Once for my birthday in October. We went out for new years. Then last weekend we did an overnight to go skiing. Ladies, if you have child care, you must do it! A little time off is so refreshing. It makes me feel young again, lol.

We've been out a handful of times. My IL's life in town and will babysit and my mom comes every couple weeks and we'll go out then too sometimes. weeklyplanner - I've found having LO sleep trained actually makes it easier to go out. In my experience he's liking his bed and when he's ready for sleep, he's ready to be put in his crib and wants to go to sleep. Doesn't matter who puts him down.
I have such a headache from my whopping 4 beers. Going out just isn't worth it anymore. Maybe when LO is a teenager and will sleep in I'll consider it again.
Our last date was in Nov for my birthday. I get out by myself with some other ladies about once a month. We have started a birthday club where we got out for supper once a month to celebrate birthdays in our group. That's about it though. I haven't found a babysitter that wasn't family. I know of one or two girls from church I could ask, I just haven't yet.
