Also, I'm impressed how many of you can come in here and list the specific shots that were done. I listened in the office, but couldn't list them right now if I needed to. 🤔
Haha same. I know they did chicken pox because they badgered me to get it too but otherwise... some important ones?

You had to get it too? Why? Have you not had the chicken pox before? I don't think they've ever asked or mentioned it to me.

When they did my antenatal blood work I know they checked for immunity to chicken pox, if I hadn't been immune I'm sure we would have discussed it then, they may assume that's already been taken care of for you.

I work in infectious diseases (with the bacteria that PCV13/Prevnar vaccinates against) so I have a professional interest ;-)

I cheated and looked at the vaccination schedule online. There's no way I could remember

I administer vaccines for a living, so I am a little bit of a nerd about them 🤓

Shots? MMR and Chicken Pox in each arm, Pneumococcal in leg
Any concerns? *I* feel like something is wrong with DS emotionally. Just way too much to type here. Ped and DH do not think anything is wrong/ he'll outgrow it. I think he's going to end up needing some kind of therapy.

Sorry, mama. It's frustrating when you feel like your concerns aren't being heard. Do you think it's a sensory thing, or more of a social thing?

Both. He's def sensory but he's also off socially. I mean he's fine with me and DH, but never warms up to strangers even in our own home after an hour. I feel that's a little excessive even if it were just "stranger anxiety".

I'm sorry. I don't know what kind of systems they have down there. Is there any pediatric therapy? I think visiting with an Occupational Therapist might be beneficial to you.

I'm basically just waiting until I can find a ped in the us who will take me seriously when we leave in a few months. Like I said, the ped here and dh think it's just a phase he has to outgrow. He has improved in some ways and gotten worse in others. I woke up crying over it today, I really think it's something more. I wish I could help him.

Hugs, I'm sorry. Parenting is not easy. Figuring them out is not easy. What would you say is his biggest struggle right now?

I'm sorry you are not getting the help you are seeking. Hugs to you.

He's always had a tough time with new people and new places; getting overstimulated and having a hard time being calmed down as a result. The only thing that works really is leaving the situation altogether. Me (or anybody) trying to pat, rock, sing, whatever just overstimulates him more. It started around 3 mo, we couldn't go anywhere by 6 mo and it's gradually improved since then but still apparent. And I think there's also some attachment issues due to (or causing?) all this.

They sent me home with a paper that listed them. That's the only way I remember

We finally had ours! They are 13 months today.
Liam Weight: 19 lbs 6 oz (25th) Height: 29.9 in (50th) Head Circumference: I think I heard 18.3 inches
Heather Weight: 19 lbs 6 oz Height: 30.1 in Head Circumference: ?
They never give me Heather's percentiles because there's never been a concern with her chart. They're still looking at Liam's but he's now gone from 5th percentile (or at some point under the curve) to 10th percentile at 9 months to 25th now. I don't think there's any concern about his growth!
Nothing to report otherwise. Gave them the date of his orchiopexy since the last update from the hospital said it had been requested.
