We go to basketball games 2-3 nights a week and Hazel has gotten so used to the noises she sleeps right through them, but at least she looks cute sleeping.
hangin' out on dad last night during our power outage. Luckily it came on in time to pump. DH really wants to take her to his work to show her off and I can't get him to realize that she's not even 2 weeks old and that people being in her face isn't a good idea.
I'm hoping the weather clears up today so we can just expend energy on a walk and not feel the urge to go somewhere.
@cahistoryteacher I'm planning on possibly going by my now former work on Friday to show him off. My supervisor is retiring at the end of the month. There's only one person who will be allowed to hold him.... my friend. Lol. Everybody else can look.
Did you get that blanket from harfamilyof3 's favorite shop? I love it!
I'm off to get my thyroid checked today. What do I want for lunch? Oh shoot.... I need to decide on something for dinner and take it out. Since it's just me, DS1 and baby on Wednesdays for lunch, I like to get something for lunch.... give him some mommy time.... and mommy something yummy to eat so I feel like I "got out." HA! Is that a joke!

Took my husband to work this morning. We'll head back there for lunch and to introduce Jane to his work team. Next week I'll take her to see my work friends for lunch. Now we're back in bed waiting to go pick up our grocery order. I love clicklist.

I love the blanket! I am currently eyeing all her Valentine's Day fabric

Appt this morning went well. Got there on time and Leo behaved for the most part. Everyone at the hospital was really nice and helped me out when they saw me coming. My bp was still too low so I got a further decrease in my meds and she recommended a primary care dr. She cleared me for everything but I did feel tender when she pushed down on my right side. She said it's prob my muscles contracting or something. Weird.
The day goes fast when you're out and about. I didn't get to do any errands because Alex woke up and needed to be fed asap. He made it almost 3.5 hrs, that's the longest I've timed.

I took the babies to my office to meet my coworkers and boss today. It was so weird having real conversation. There is a small part of me that is excited to go back.
N was 1 month old this weekend. He is generally a good baby - he will fuss if he needs to eat or have his diaper change (or is straining to fill it) or if he gets overtired, but otherwise doesn't seem to cry just for the sake of crying.
As for me . . . *sigh*. Went back to the doctor for my mastitis/abscess today. They had to do another needle aspiration, and drew off a bunch more fluid [gross medical info: definitely more pus, but the doctor said some could have been milk and some could have been lidocaine since she injected some into the abscess itself rather than just in the tissue around it - the doctor drew off about 30cc total!]. The doctor today wasn't quite as gentle as the one I saw on Monday, so I was left quite a bit more sore afterward, though again it feels nice to have some of that pressure relieved. I have to go back again on Friday (if you count N's 1 month appointment last Thursday, I'll have been to a doctor's office of some sore 4 times in 8 days!). The doctor wants me to pump on the side with the mastitis every time after baby eats to really make sure it's getting fully emptied, and to take multiple showers a day to allow for warm massaging and hand expressing (frankly, I'd love to take multiple showers, but right now I'm lucky to have time for one!). Hopefully things will look better on Friday!
requiressnacks, what did the pedi say about their size difference? I know you mentioned you were going to ask about it
She wasn't really concerned. Gabriel started out smaller and is gaining weight at a good pace. Gianna just eats more and has gained a little more rapidly. I think I'm just going to let it go!

FTM question- how do you know when it's time to go up a size in diapers?
Usually I look at weight on the diaper box. But you can also tell if there's red marks on the thighs or the tabs don't reach around the waist. Leaking out or blowouts can also indicate too small.
I think mine is growing out in the thigh area. Chunky thighs.

I'm drinking my coffee from this morning. I wouldn't normally drink coffee this late cause then I can't sleep. But who am I fooling, I get no sleep anyways.
I napped this afternoon with the kids. Dinner has not been made. So eggs for dinner it is.

That's what I was thinking. No blowouts (yet) but her thighs have red marks. We're almost out of newborns anyway so I'll just bump her up to the ones we have.
