Morning! I'm going to be making pancakes in a minute. H slept in for once, but I'm pretty sure it's because she woke up and peed the bed twice last night. Not impressed. I was originally going to do a class at the Y and get my butt moving but the sleeping in is making me miss it. I will try again another day. I think I might go to barre tomorrow while H is at preschool. We will probably just stay home for the rest of today since it's supposed to snow off and on.
trtlcrzy This is how I do exercise now... "Maybe tomorrow." Lol. I did order a postnatal workout DVD that supposedly talks about and is good for diastasis recti, so hoping to start that up next week.

Mmm pancakes. I need to start working out. I hate doing videos but it's way too cold to be outside, so I'll have to suck it up.
I was supposed to watch the new baby for a few hours this morning, but we rescheduled. Last night I got the same rash/weals from the night before. I let her know that I was fairly certain it was some allergy and not viral, but left it up to her. She kept him home. Has anyone ever heard of adult onset nut allergy? I had cashews before it happened Monday night and peanut butter last night. They are different allergy groups though, so it'd be crazy to get both all of a sudden. My only other guess is that it's related to my BCP. I take it in the evening, which is when it's been happening. Something about my hormones as the pill leaves my body? I don't know.

rivers and roads from what I understand allergies can randomly start, but cashews and peanuts are different, however maybe there was another player involved.
Take two of daycare nap, hoping it goes better today. Yesterday wore me out. Dh is at a doctors appointment now, and I'm cleaning until I go pick Ryan up. I need to do a big trip to the recycling center near here on Friday. I got asked on a mommy date next Friday night. So excited. Ceramics painting with a fellow mom after babies are in bed. Oh the highlights of my week....lol

My god I want pancakes now.
Sorry for the rash rivers and roads. No advice, but I hope it clears up soon.
I desperately need to start working out, too. Bikini Body Mommy is releasing her new 6.0 videos on Monday, so I'm going to try to get into that and actually stick with it this time. I'm seriously considering reserving the lactation room on campus during my lunch hour a few times a week to have a private place to get these workouts in. The space is hardly used, so I won't be inconveniencing anyone and I might actually make it happen if it's done before I go home for the day.
We have a membership to the Y, but it's all the way across town so that affects my motivation to get there. But we have it so I should use it. I paid for 3 classes at barre and I want/need to use them. I really enjoy that work out. Maybe I'll force myself to go to the Y this afternoon and walk on the elliptical. We will see how nap goes.
We got a Mickey Mouse pancake mold for Christmas from MIL. I made 2 pancakes with them and both were a fail.
Morning! DS already had a dentist appt this morning, just a routine cleaning. He's done so well at the dentist, I'm really impressed. We are home now and DD just went down for her morning nap. She's working hard on these teeth, I think her bottom are out and her 2nd top is trying to come through. Not much on the agenda, we'll probably stay home. The wind chill is crazy cold again/still so there's not much for us to get out and do.
trtlcrzy is H night time potty trained? DS still wears a pull up. He does not wake up dry. And I don't think he'd wake up/get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Sometimes I feel like he should be night trained by now and other times I don't care at all.

Yes. When we started potty training I would put a diaper on her at night and she'd just take it off so I stopped wasting my time/money. She normally wakes up and goes potty if she needs to, no problem. Not sure what the deal was last night. Since she's been potty trained, in may, she's had maybe 5-7 accidents at night.

That's nice. DS has never given the slightest sign of being ready to night train. I could cut him cold turkey but I just don't know if he's ready. He doesn't get out of his bed, like ever. He waits for us to come and get him in the morning or after nap. I got him a night light for Xmas that he can carry, just to start the conversation with him that he can get up and go potty when he needs to and use that if it's dark.

I've heard some people wake up their kid at like 10 or 11 before they go to bed to use the potty. H was actually in her crib when we started so she would cry for us to come get her.
My SIL is going to come over for a bit today to hang out so that should be fun.
My family has had 2 new babies in the last week - I don't know when either mom is planning on introducing them to everyone but I'm excited for squishy babies.
DD's 1 year photo session is now booked! Feb 10th, the day before her birthday. I'm also impressed with myself that I have almost completed outfit planning/purchasing. DD's stuff is done, along with DS since we'll do a family photo. I ordered those yesterday. Once that all comes I'll lay them out and decide on tops of DH and I. Now to just figure out her party.
chocolate if you decide to go the wake up to potty route (which I don't 100% suggest) make sure they are fully awake. It can actually be detrimental to do the "half asleep pee". My brother did it with my nephew and it caused a lot of issues. We waited to stop putting a pull up on DS until he started waking up dry all the time (like 14 days in a row). He's gotten up a couple times to use potty but usually just sleeps until am. He also doesn't get out of bed ever, so he calls for us. If your DS is waking up soaked still, I would put it off a while. Some kids aren't night trained for a long time, and that's okay! (I know you didn't ask my advice, haha, but we recently went through this too).

Yeah I definitely probably wasn't going to go the wake up route. Lol. His pull up in the morning is less soaked than it used to be, so he's getting there. I do let him drink water right up until getting into bed so I know I need to cut his water off at some point. I should do that and test to see if that makes the difference in waking up dry.

I don't think cutting water out is necessary. DS has water (sometimes a lot) immediately before bed, and actually does moreso now than before he was night trained. I think it really is just a physiological milestone that you have to wait for. I waited for about a month of dry overnight diapers before we made the switch (still obviously have a waterproof cover on the mattress), but maybe waited so long because they were cloth diapers and not costing me anything ;-)

I totally agree with this. He sleeps with a water cup next to his bed actually. We used pull ups and used them for 2 nights (ffwc?). I figure if you wear underwear for 24 hours, a pull up can be used twice for 12 hours, haha.

That's good to know. DS also drinks a lot of water literally right before getting into bed. Like will chug some nights. It's just not been high on my priority list, and he's a boy so I know they are more immature than girls. He was great at potty training in general. The pull ups aren't bothering me too much, since we only use 1 a day a box lasts awhile.

Well no naps for us at daycare again but apparently he cried less, so it was a bit better than yesterday. She loves that he's such a great eater lol. I was finding spaghetti sauce in random spots on him, thisnlod eats with gusto! lol. It's warm here today. All the snow is melting, but temps are supposed to drop the next few days so it will be icy I think. I managed to do some cleaning this morning, I have lots of laundry to finish up today

You get no shade from me. I did the same with H because she was staying dry, no use on wasting a perfectly good diaper/pull up.
Right after I posted that my sister texted us that he crashed. They had to do compressions and reintubate him. He's doing ok now, but they are doing an X-ray to check things I guess.
I was helping H wash her hands after she went to the bathroom and S crawled in the room. I turned around and she was standing at the toilet, splashing around in it. Good thing H flushed before she washed her hands.

Sending my thoughts and prayers. And a big hug for you Aunty.
