Crossing my fingers that my check gets deposited right today. Last payday they only issued half a check because they had in their records that I lived in California and the state pays partial maternity. I live in Utah, have for 6 years. My boss is in Cali, but that doesn't mean anything. We're a payroll company, let's get it together.

Good morning! We had a great night. Alex let me sleep! He was wide awake at 10 as usual but then went down at 11. Did not wake up until 2 am! Stayed up for an hr but after that he'd sleep 2 hrs, wake, eat, then back to sleep. I hope it's his new norm and not a fluke. FX.

We had a good night too! I tried to switch things up by letting my husband go to bed early, and I stayed up until midnight. He got up earlier to take care of some house stuff, and the baby and I slept until 8:45! She was up at 2:30 and 6. Not too shabby.

Hey Lovies..the Albers are here. We are just a lil tired and well mommy is trying to get herself motivated during a thunderstorm to get crap done. I have a lot of lil things that have to be done around the house.
Dh took DD to school today.. So I haven't had to take a hour and half it feels like it takes to get both kids in the car and then drop off and then get back home. So I have started some laundry and painted some touch ups in the house..did this and that. I am trying not to be to lazy. My dh might of said what did you do yesterday. Lol..def wasn't that type of question but I felt like I could be doing a lil more.
I put DS1's library book for school on his backpack this morning. I told him to put it in there. Did he? No. Of course I didn't think to double check with getting him, DS2 and baby ready and in the car. I checked as the bus was coming. Nope. Not in there. After last week's meltdown that he couldn't find the book the class never checked out before vacation, I wasn't going to listen to him cry for a week that he couldn't get a new book. I went home, unloaded the other two from the car, got the book, finished drying my hair, slapped a little makeup on, loaded the two LOs back in the car, drive to the school, unloaded the two LOs and brought the book to the office, loaded the two LOs back into the car and drove back home. I tried to clean up most of their mess since our friend's daughter is coming to watch DS1 and 2 while I go to my appointment this afternoon. Now I've got baby on the boob wondering how I'm going to make them lunch and get all my crap together in time. And I think he'll want to eat again while I'm out with him. Ugh!!

WineNChocolate one of my nurses said the answer to that question is "kept our child fed and safe" and that there doesn't need to be more to that answer.

Hi ladies! Busy day over here. I grocery shooed in the morning with NO BABIES! It was glorious. Also, I spent $200 and saved $100. It was awesome.
Then DH and I went to Target to do some extreme couponing on diapers and formula. Basically, I got $300 worth of diapers and formula for $189 and I got $60 of gift cards back. Love!
Then we took the crew to TGI Fridays for lunch. I changed my first diaper in a public restroom. DD had a nasty poop. But then I had a glass of wine. So....worth it.

Yay for good nights!
Ours was good too. Babies were HOT MESSES at like 630pm. So, we just put them to bed at 715. They ended up sleeping to their normal times. It was nice.
Well I'm going back to work two weeks earlier then planned because of this mix up of my company.
Oh no! That sucks! Because of the payroll mixup?
They quoted my leave to me off nine weeks 100% paid but at the time they thought I lived in California. Well I don't and never have. My old manager made a mistake when transferring me and changed my reporting to as well as my working from to California. So I called to see how much PTO I have and that office said that according to their records I've been on leave since August. So I gave up. I'm going back early. EFF it
We're going to a "wine walk" at an outdoor mall near our house tonight. Basically you walk around to different stores and do free wine tastings. I'm hoping it's okay to take the baby since it will be mostly outdoors. And I plan to keep her covered the entire time. I'm just SO paranoid about her getting sick.

That sounds FUN! Wish I had one here. It's 71 here today! Woohoo!

My appointment went well... incision's looking better. He said it should be almost completely healed in 2-3 more weeks and if not, to call him. Goodness! I hope it's healed by then.
Meanwhile.... DS2 is sitting next to me on the couch kicking the crap outta me. He took a whole HALF HOUR nap before I left for my appointment. He'll realize it right around dinner time!

I've got a plugged duct 😔just trying to take it easy so it doesn't turn into mastitis. I did get to take a nap today which was nice.
I hope it doesn't! I'm on day 4 of antibiotics for mastitis and a clogged duct that turned into an abscess, so I can tell you that it is no fun at all! Do everything you can to get that block to clear.
Be encouraged, though, that odds are against it getting so bad - apparently about 10% of women who breastfeed will get mastitis, and 3% of those women (that is 3% of the 10%) develop an abscess, and some small portion of those women (can't remember the exact percentage here) have to have the abscess drained more than once. So chances are you will fare better than I have!

First of all, look at this little boy
: .
Isn't he stinking cute? Gosh. He's been super fussy all day today... I hope tonight isn't a train wreck...
I went for my incision check and the open part is still very small, draining a small amount, the junk that was growing in there is still there, albeit in smaller quantities ... they gave me a shot of antibiotics to hopefully knock the rest of the bacteria (right?) out. I go back again next week. I hope I'm done with this soon.

I tried my Moby wrap today. She conked out in about 1 minute so hopefully she'll sleep a little. Last night was a really good night in terms of getting her to go to sleep and us getting 2 hours chunks of sleep. Hoping for a repeat tonight. Our feeding schedule is just not condusive to her getting more than 2 hour chunks at a time. I'm hoping at her 2 week appointment on Monday we'll get the go ahead to just let her sleep and wake herself when she's hungry, especially at night.
