When do you call the pedi for a rash? DD has little red spots on her chest/abdomen the past couple days that I think is a heat rash, but it looks worse today. It doesn't seem to bother her and she doesn't have any other symptoms. The only foods she's eaten are squash and avocado.

I'd keep an eye on it. Call if it gets larger, seems to bother her, or effect eating or breathing.

Has she had any vaccines lately? New detergents / lotions / washes?
Ds2 had one and when it didn't get better we went - turned out it was eczema. I went in in November for a rash as well, that one was likely viral. I tend to err on the side of caution with rashes, just in case.
Our pedi has us talk to the nurses first, so I call and let them decide if it sounds like I should go in.

I would maybe wait until it clears to give those foods again and see if it comes back. I've never heard of a squash allergy but my mom has an avocado allergy.
I also have a question: both babies suddenly have diaper rash worse than they've had it in the past. M has is in his Crack and a big patch on he butt cheek. G has it on the outside of her vulva and in her crack. Should I be concerned that it happened on both of them at the same time? I always wash my hands between diapers even if I change one right after another but I'm not sure if H and the babysitter do.

Are they eating solids? I always found rashes got worse after solids even if I changed promptly.

hannahbear that looks like cradle cap to me. It's really common in babies. DD had it for a long time and its just starting to go away. We just gently brushed in circles with that soft baby brush when we washed her hair.

I have no idea if this was the right thing to do, but before his bath I rubbed coconut oil all over and combed it. Then shampooed out - it looks a lot better today!

I've heard baby oil helps so assume coconut oil will do the same.
