So yesterday I was concerned because I had cramps and today I'm concerned because they've gone away. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.
Haha yep, first tri sucks balls. The symptoms are awful and you want them to go away, but they are also the only way you know you are pregnant so you want them to stay!
Every night I somehow convince myself that all of my symptoms are gone, so I wake up in the motn freaking out...then when I actually get up and out of bed I realize I fell for my own craziness all over again!

ohmygod I just got salt and vinegar chips from the vending machine. May be the most delicious things I have ever eaten. Nausea has momentarily and miraculously disappeared!
Yes! Maybe it's the combo of vinegar and sodium, like pickle juice!

Some of you might remember my story about how I asked MH to hide my wondfos a while back and then the morning I found out I was pregnant he couldn't remember where he hid them. Well, they're still missing and since I'm crazypants with these symptoms, I stopped at the Dollar Store on my way home from work and bought 10 tests. The cashier was only mildly judgy with her eyes 😂
caybeh just came here to see who else was watching. It's just starting where I live. This show makes me cry when I'm not pregnant so I imagine I'll be a mess during this ep.
This is my first pregnancy and I've been pretty crampy since last night and it's freaking me out. It's kind of like a dull ache and uncomfortable more than it is painful or sharp. It seems like it's mostly in one specific spot rather than all over. I haven't had any spotting or bleeding at all. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? I hope I'm just overreacting.
I've been having mostly dull by consistent cramps/ discomfort nightly this pregnancy. Didn't have it last time. From what I've read it's mostly just things moving and changing in there. I'm chalking it up to just a normal symptom, but like others have said it never hurts to ask! Peace of mind is always worth a phone call!
leviosa I hate blood tests too so I always tell them I'm going to close my eyes until they've put all the stuff away. And I always make sure I've eaten before and have something after. otherwise I have a full on anxiety attack.
@gotgingy , for my last two pregnancies when I called to make my first appointment, they told me the same thing...they do first appointments at 10 weeks. It seems crazy to make us wait that long!
It does! And it also seems crazy that there's only one opening per week. Like I could take this shitty time at 10 +1 or wait until 11 +5 for a better time of day. Wut. Surely they realize there's a need for some room in the schedule?
Do you have options of other OB or midwife practices where you live/ with your insurance? If so it might be worth at least checking into them, unless you have a long relationship going to this doc and really wouldn't feel comfortable with anyone else. There's gonna be a bunch more appointments to schedule, and also if they are like that about scheduling now they also be more likely to do crappy things like pressure you to induce when it isn't really necessary yet to make the delivery fit the doc's schedule.
I usually break down and cry like a little baby when someone is going to poke me with a needle. Ironically, I have several piercings. Those don't bother me because it's going through tissue on the outside of my body. I freak out when it's going into my body. I know, it's weird.
CK1 and leviosa thank you!!! They call between 12-2. When it's a really important one like this one my nurse usually tries to call me as early as possible.
leviosa I'm so used to it at this point. I've had so many blood draws over the last year. That is funny about the piercings though! I guess however you can justify it in your mind!
CK1, I still don't have a single symptom. I pee often as it is though, so that could be going on and I just haven't realized it. Also, I'm drinking a ton (3 full nalgenes) to stay extremely hydrated so I don't lose my milk supply. With that kind of water intake anyone would be peeing nonstop, lol!
leviosa I've been drinking about the same as usual which is a good amount but holy bathroom visits, Batman! My coworkers are either going to start to catch on or think I have a stomach bug and keep going in there to poo lol
doodler everything crossed for you! My second beta is tomorrow and it's killing me to wait. They call us between 2-6 and on Monday they called at 5:30...

Finally booked a doctors appointment. Tomorrow at 9:30 - I'll be 7 weeks. Seems about right even though I was supposed to see my doctor for something unrelated two weeks ago.
DD feel asleep in the van during preschool pickup. So I decided since she was sleeping, we would go pick up lunch (thank you fast food post). She woke up when I took her out of the van. She normally doesn't go back down, but she wanted nothing to do with lunch and asked for quiet time. So she's sleeping again which I guess is what happens when you are awake for whole night. Poor girl.
I found my pregnancy journal/notebook from DS and now I'm all emotional. Trying not to cry like a weirdo at work.
I hear you! The most random things have been making me cry lately. The other night during songs/cuddles with my DD, I started thinking about how she's not going to be my only baby anymore... tears legit running down my face.

I just taught my 16 month old how to dip nuggets into sauce and I'm oddly proud of both of us. He seems to have a cold (runny nose, sneezing, random coughing) but is acting like his normal crazy self.
**first time using Tapatalk to post a picture so if it is giant let me know because I do not know what I'm doing! I picked "small" for the image size so hopefully it is ok? I feel incompetent with forum technology sometimes**
Well... it's still pretty large but it just makes sure that I see every detail in your nuggets and fries. I taught DS to dip too and he wants to dip everything now! Enjoy lunch & hopefully your LO fights off the cold before it gets bad.
