So I've never been to a chiropractor, but in the past few weeks my right shoulder and hip have been bothering me a lot. But being 36 weeks along not sure if it's a good idea to seek out a chiropractor, maybe just wait till after the baby. I'll probably ask my MW, maybe she would have a recommend or tell me not to, but since I've seen some of you chatting about chiro, I'd thought I'd ask here also.
I'd ask around for recommendations, to be honest. The one I go to often works on pregnant women. He uses an activator to stimulate and get my joints to naturally fall back into place. The only physical adjustment he does is to my hip.
Honestly, it's been like night and day since I started going. Before I went, I couldn't bend down to pick up my toddler, I couldn't put him to bed. It's made a world of a difference for me as I can do those things now.
I will say a lot of women will find that their hips and back will realign naturally after delivery. I was not one of them. I also know of women who were referred to a chiro prior to a 42w induction by midwives to help prepare the pelvis for birth
I honestly don't know if my MWs even know I'm seeing one. I don't know if i told them. My OB with DS1 never even mentioned one to me when I complained of back pain
