Printing DD's birthday invites and sending those out today. Her party is in 2 weeks, and I feel I procrastinated too long on planning it. I got lucky on her invites. Ordered it on a Sunday, but in Australia (etsy is wonderful) it was Monday, and not a holiday! Woot! It snowed last night, so not a lot else planned. People here forget how to drive when there is inclement weather, so I tend to stay home if I can.

I'm here! Spent a good part of the weekend buying decorations for DD's birthday party and getting stuff ready. It's a good thing we're having her Beauty and the Beast party around Valentine's Day because we were able to get fake roses for super cheap and just picked up some $1 vases to put them in. Bam- on-theme centerpiece!

I'm here. Enjoying the extra day off with DH because of the holiday. Just planning to tidy around the house (aka tackle the massive pile of dishes). And hopefully get the curtains hung in the nursery and maybe read for class.

Oh, I forgot to share, I finished Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life last night. I loved it and I hope they leave it there and don't add anymore episodes!

DH is off today while DD is at daycare and he said he was going to get a ton of stuff done around the house. I am skeptical but I think it would be douchey to call him and see if he's actually getting stuff done. So I sit here and wonder.

onesweetworld, I had the tdap in 2011 (cut), 2015 (1st pregnancy), and now 2017. Looking forward to not getting it again until 2027! I don't mind shots much except that the tdap makes your arm very sore and every time I feel the soreness I think about the needle and feel queasy. But no more needles for me until hospital admission, hopefully!
Also we scheduled back to back appointments for toddler's 18 mo and my 32 wk. For valentine's day. And then that afternoon my parents are flying in. It's gonna be super romantic around here.

Ughhhh now I need to schedule my tdap when I don't have anything else going on. dNW to go to work with a sore arm.

Maybe it won't be too bad for you! I think it gets more sore for some people than others.

I had no issues when I got it with DS1. My DH on the other hand acted like his whole arm fell off. (Eye rolls).
DH was the same way. Men 😂 He's just glad he doesn't need it again since he just had it in 2014. Although, it would be nice if they could just give a booster for whooping cough instead of having us do the full vaccine combo for each pregnancy..

onesweetworld, my H has a lot of shot/needle anxiety and I hear a lot of what you're saying sounding like him, so I know nothing I will say can help much. Just wanted to offer big hugs because I think the anticipation of the scary shot is one of the worst parts.
You might be like my H after he was hospitalized and find that the repeated exposure to needles makes it a little less scary to get shots in the future?
DD is 2 today! I can't believe it! Where has the time gone?!
I think I'm just going to take her shopping today. Buy her an outfit for her party, perhaps a new toy. Really, this sounds like a good day to go to target lol
The more you move the arm, the less sore it will be.
Are you Rh- or Rh+? The Rhogam shot (given when Rh-) also left my arm sore for a couple days
I'm positive so no shot for me
Lucky. I get it at 28w. I had it again at birth with DS1 but they did it straight in my IV. I balk at the idea of butt shots so I made them do it in my arm last time and will again this time.
It was also nice having them do my lovenox shot in my IV while in the hospital but alas... More belly shots for me!😭

Oh man. I got up in DD's closet and got down the newborn diapers to inventory & check condition. They're so teeny!! Totes have all the feels going on right now.

They got a new 2-month-old baby at DD's daycare today. She is obsessed with him and daycare keeps posting videos of her rocking him in the bouncer, etc. I'm so excited to watch her be a big sister!
DD is refusing to nap. I have no idea where all this energy is coming from. She is definitely going to bed early. I don't care if it's her birthday or not.
