Another research study-online survey for Amazon GC

I did this survey yesterday and got the gift card this morning. It says school of pharm, but it's not actually about medicine. It's more about what caregivers value most for their kid. They survey about 900 parents and need about 30 more.

You have to e-mail the address on the flyer and say you're interested.

They respond and ask for a 5 minute phone interview to determine if you're eligible: right age frame, developmental and behavioral diagnoses or possible diagnoses (like DS will probably get an ADHD dx when he's older), etc.

Then they send you an e-mail link with the survey. I think it took about 30 minutes.

And this morning I woke up to an e-mail with a $50 giftcard.

It also says on the flyer they'll provide feedback from the study.

It appears that they want kids on spectrum specifically, despite what the flier says. Charlotte qualifies based on the flier (behavior or emotional problem, developmental disability) but when they called they asked a lot of questions like whether she makes and maintains eye contact and whether she can make friends. They are going to have a supervisor determine if we qualify but it does not look like it.

Sorry you couldn't do it akafred. I remember them asking about social stuff (and DS is pretty social), but I also remember the eye contact thing.

The flyer isn't very clear. It seems they want children who meet all 3 criteria and would not consider Charlotte developmentally delayed. ADHD is a behavior disorder; SPD isn't under the developmental or psychiatric umbrella.

DS didn't qualify either because researchers aren't particularly interested in adults except as it relates to sexuality/relationships IME.
