Speaking of alcohol... I think I mentioned on here that for almost a year my liver numbers have been elevated? They ran tests and can't find any underlying issues, but now I'm waiting for the next appointment and cutting back on the wine in the meantime. I'm finding it hard to give up my Sunday evening glass of wine, though. I need to make an appt with my dr and talk to him about it.
crimsonandclover please see your doctor!! There was someone in another board I visit who had a health concern that turned into a big deal. Lsquared that sounds horrible. We are due for a lot of teeth some day soon. We still only have 5.

I have - he's been monitoring my liver levels since last April, did an ultrasound, sent me for a gastroscopy (because I was having stomach pain, too), and then referred me to the Heptology Dept at the university clinic, where they drew tons of blood and did another ultrasound. That was in early December, and I have another appointment on March 10 where they'll discuss further steps since the enzymes are still elevated but they haven't found anything unusual in any of the other tests. The last time the dr said they might do an MRI to see whether anything's visible there that's not on the ultrasound. So long story short - it's being actively looked into by several doctors. It's just that at the last appointment in the hospital the dr didn't say anything when I said I drank 3-4 glasses of red wine / week. But in the report he sent with the lab work it said he had advised me to completely stop drinking alcohol (he did not). So I want to ask my doctor what the recommendation actually is.
Last night at dinner: Me to DS: Can I have a hug after dinner? DS: No! Me: <fake crying> DS: Don't cry Mommy! I know what can make you feel better! You can get me an ice cream sandwich!

Our plan to knock something off our "Must get done to sell house to do list" of fucking course didn't quite work out.
It was supposed to be 1 window and 1 door in our utility room. That's it. The window was a weird size they don't make anymore so he ended up having to pull the paneling off that wall which turned into all the paneling coming down off all the walls.
Now he's drywalling the entire room. 2.5 walls and the ceiling are done so far.
I can't do laundry. Everything from that room (i.e. our only storage room in the whole house) is stashed throughout the rest of the house.
I'M GOING TO LOSE MY MIND.
But it will be fine. The drywall won't really add value to the house, but it will make it look 10x better than that crappy old half painted paneling. We are going to add a utility sink which this house desperately needs and overhead storage that is also desperately needed.
It won't make me want to stay in the house, but it should help the overall appeal of it.
S is still sick. He hasn't puked since last night, but he's also only eaten half a slice of toast since then. So another day at home for him. I was hoping to get some errands done while he was at school today, but that won't be happening. I'm hoping he's better tomorrow.

I just spent naptime preparing a shepherd pie, 2 cowboy dinners, a pound of taco meat and 4 breakfast sandwiches. I am beat. In other news, our water tastes terrible to me. I've never had a complaint before, but today it tastes awful.
We went to Walmart after picking S up from school. I needed new pillows, and we needed a few groceries. We always poke around the games and electronics when we're there, but we usually leave empty handed. Not today. H bought the NES classic. He's wanted it since it was announced and I tried to get it for him for Christmas. He's like a kid right now. It's cute. Him and S are sitting on the floor in front of the TV (the cord for the controller is super short for some reason), and just loving it.
And I just offered for to watch my BFF'S LO full time when she goes back to work, assuming her IL can't handle it. I've always been staunchly against watching other people's kids, but I'd make an exception in this case. Only because I love that girl almost as much as my own kids.

That's incredibly generous of you! How will that work with getting S to school?

Until I get my license, I would wear C, push M in the stroller and S would walk as usual. Once I have a vehicle, I would have a car seat installed for C
I'm PWing up in here tonight. I just got a call, and I start drivers ed Saturday! I will pass the course, pass my road test, and get some wheels! Possibly all before spring
I'm now seriously considering a minivan. Originally I was thinking SUV, but if I'm watching C, it would be nice to have more room, plus I like the idea of sliding doors... and even if I'm not watching C, my mom pointed out that S is getting to the age where he'll want to have friends over after school and stuff.

Lollipop that is awesome!! Congratulations. If I recall you've driven without a license correct? Make it legit and I'd imagine your life will be so much easier! Are you saving for a car? Is your dh on board with buying a vehicle?

You've been wanting this for so long Lollipop! Finally!
I'm jealous of all the cooking you did today, dizzycooks! It feels good to be so productive!
Poor mints, they never had a chance, silverspoon! Someone in my office put a candy jar in the main area and filled it with snack size chocolate bars. I'm embarrassed at how much I've eaten. And they keep filling it up!!

Not entirely without a license lol, I have my learner's permit. H knows that I plan to get a car, but we haven't discussed it at length. If he agrees the plan is to get something with low payments, instead of buying it outright.
*Another* day of all 3 girls at DC/preschool!! And today for the first time DD3 will try to nap there. She's usually a pretty easy sleeper, but we'll see how this goes since she'll be sleeping in a room with 4 other kids and she sleeps lightly. Once she's sleeping there, though, then we're done with the adjustment period!! Woohoo!
