B is up already. Not even two hours. He's breathing fine, but when he cries it's very barky. Tonight will be long.
Omg it's 8:45. E is awake. I'm limiting night feedings, and it has not been that long since he went to bed so I'm not going to feed him. I'm not feeling good about tonight. Good luck to you!
Up again here. B's breathing still fine, but still barking when he's crying. So I've been up there a few times because I don't want his crying to escalate too much.
H is going on a work trip Tuesday and Wednesday so I'll be flying solo then. I told him he needs to take off tomorrow (Monday) and take B in to the doctor. He's all pissed because he's got a lot of work to do. I get it dude, I work too. But I'll most likely be out Tuesday and Wednesday if this is croup. I can't take off 3 days in a row.
Well I think a visit to the pedi and possible the hospital is on the agenda for today. DS1 never had croup, but I know it looks scarier than it is for the most part. B has gotten worse and now I can feel the wheezing starting to build in his lungs. He's still okay and in his crib with it propped up and a humidifier on, but I have a feeling he will be worse when we get up for the day in 2 hours.
I'm off googling croup and now I'm convinced it's what I have and I'm worried I'm going to give it to Flint. My cough sounds the same, had a low fever, sort throat, etc.

He's actually really good! I'm surprised we had a great night. He just went down again (4:50am here), and it was only the second wake up. The hoarse sound seems to be gone.
Sorry you're sick too FWIW B never had a cough. It was just a horrible horrible noise when he inhaled when crying or laughing. He coughed a few times, but never enough where he couldn't catch his breath. Hand washing is key! Basically it's contagious like a cold- so just wash your hands and no kisses for a few days. FX Flint doesn't get it!
Another really horrible night here. I'm going to beg the pediatrician to see her today. I really think it's her ears. She's been congested for a week with a low grade fever for the past three days that gets worse at bedtime. She just seems so uncomfortable and in pain when I lie her down. Like she wants to sleep but she hurts. This is how we always knew DD1 had an ear infection, her sleep would suck. My kids never pull at their ears.
I think I see progress with E eating less at night. Bed at 7. Up at 11 for a feed. Up again at 2. I wanted to try not feeding him because it hadn't been that long, but he pooped. After having the light on to change him, I thought he was really awake so I nursed him for maybe 2 minutes to get him a little sleepy. He wasn't pleased when I put him down, but he made it until 6:30. I have some hope that he will stop thinking he needs 3-4 full meals each night!
We actually had a good night but I'm guessing it was due to him getting his vaccines yesterday. Down at 8, up at 2:20 and then 7:10 which was ten minutes before my alarm was set to go off so perfect timing.
Hope everyone is having a better night! B's got a cough now- but it sounds productive not barky. I'm 99% sure he's going to school tomorrow. Pedi cleared him to go today, but I wanted to get one more day of fresh milk in him before he went back.
H is on a work trip so in solo this morning. Should be fun.
F only had one wake up so far to eat at 1:30. DH woke me up any way ( ? ? ? ?)!!! Even though he was on feeding duty. But even at that I'm calling it a great night. It's been about a week now of o it one wake up per night. I wish I could say it was something we did lol.
And we're back. Few good nights with 1-2 wake ups and then last night with 4 maybe 5 wake ups? Doctor suggested CIO at her 6 month check up this week and I always said I would never but feeling and looking like death is unbecoming. I should probably intro here since I appear to be a creeper popping up.
B slept okay, but his wake ups were at the worst times. I went to bed at 10:30. He got up at 11:20. Then he slept until 3:30 (yay!) and by the time I got him back down it was almost 4 and I have to wake up at 5
So sleepy today. It doesn't help that I feel like I'm drowning at work.
melody330, same boat with the awkward wake up times. Its been 2 mornings in a row that M woke up at 5am when my alarm is set for 5:30. And yesterday I had woken up at 3:30 and HAD to pump so I had barely gotten back to sleep. Its been painful.
melody330 and ginabini Sam does the same thing! He's got a knack for waking up half an hour before my alarm goes off each morning, regardless of when he last ate haha. Half an hour is a lot when you have such broken sleep during the night!
cavewmn oh no, that's awful. Hopefully your migraine is better today!
