Taking notes on the white noise apps and machines. I didn't use one for M, but I want to for this kid because M is not quiet. I'm hoping it will drown out his loudness.

Why do they make these g.s. cookies so damn good? You would think we've never had cookies before the way we're swooning over them. The new smores cookies are good, the thanks a lots are back and are soooo good.

FFMC: I think GSC are over-rated. I like Thin Mints ok but only buy them if they make it super easy for me, like setting up a booth outside the grocery store. Even then, it's been a couple years since I bought any.
wedding I don't blame you for looking at other options. We're doing the same thing with M. We had some open houses we went to this past week, and seeing a couple more this week. The drop off situation isn't improving and I really do think it's because of lack of teacher interaction. I want him to have teachers that smile when he comes in and are happy to see him. I hate to move him because he loves his friends, but I want him to be in a positive environment where he feels comfortable when we drop him off.
Good luck with the search.
I just remember at his old daycare he would be greeted with hugs and smiles and it felt so good. Most of the time he would run in without me. Here it is such a struggle and he just seems lost in the mix. It sucks to feel that way every day. M and C are both very happy, spunky little boys and for me it feels like his spirit is squashed as soon as we walk in.
Yes! wedding Exactly this! He's lost in the mix before we ever step foot in the door and he may be 3, but he knows it.

LizInFL I'll sit on that bench. I'm not a big cookie person in general. I only ever would buy the samoas/caramel delites at least once, but this year I passed a table in front of the grocery store and didn't give it a second thought. I may be broken...

Zipping up my flame suit now.
He brought them to the office, it was too easy to buy them. Most of the time I just buy them to be nice, but these ones are actually good.

I thought everyone had this sound machine. The dohm one that a million good ratings. We have 2 and they even fixed ours after 3 years without charging. Lovely customer service. We don't leave home without it.
You're not missing much. My dad always buys them in bulk and they sit in the pantry until the following year. And then he buys more.. I slowly throw them away.
That's how my dad is with Boy Scout popcorn (he does eat the GSC he buys). My dad always likes to support kids that go door-to-door selling stuff, but the popcorn is awful! So it ends up just sitting.

I just give them money instead of buying anything. It confuses the hell out of them every time. "You just want to donate? You don't want anything for your money?"
I never went out of my way to buy them before, but I do now because it's nice to have a vegan pre-packaged cookie that isn't Oreo's, Nutter Butter, or Nilla Wafers.
I feel bad for those Boy Scouts selling their outrageously priced popcorn.
They've gotta come up with something else.
Agreed. If they come to the house I always lie and say I already bought it from someone else, but I'll usually give them some cash if I have any.
The high school football team in our district sells these key fobs that get you all sorts of discounts and freebies in the area at restaurants, shops, even the local Jiffy Lube (free oil change!) They're $10, I think--it's a great deal. Obviously that would be tough to do on a national level but I much prefer something like that to buying terrible popcorn.
