Ugh sorry about your DD1 - hopefully she feels better!
I had a rough night. FLint only woke up once at 3:30 and DH fed him because I'm taking cold medicine, but I was up a zillion times. Freezing and dying of heat, hacking cough, body aches, the whole 9 yards. I have a low fever this morning and feel like I've been hit by a truck. Add FPPP to that and I've got cramps, headache, and nausea too. Happy Monday... lol
I took today off so hopefully I feel better soon. I teach a girl with neutropenia though so it makes me nervous to go back for her sake.
Feel better Ray! I've been fighting a cold myself. Zero fun.
We procured daycare!! We're paying out the ass but at least she'll be somewhere we trust. Now if only the other lady would return our phone calls to cancel. I'm not counting on it though. M starts daycare Monday!! I'm way more sad than I feel like I should be. It feels like I"m getting ready to go back to work all over again. Luckily DH is still going to take Monday and Tuesday off so she can just go for part days the first few days.
For anyone who transitioned to daycare at a center after baby was home... how awful was the adjustment for naps? Since M has been home taking naps in her dark, quiet room I'm dreading the transition to a bright, loud room full of 5 other babies.

Going to DC actually helped B with naps. He now takes all his naps in his crib. Sometimes he takes a shitty 10-30 minute nap but it's rare. Most naps are 1-1.5 hours. He's a light sleeper too. Does just fine with noisy babies around.

+1. A naps the same at DC as at home. They vary from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours. At home she sleeps in the a very dark, mostly quiet (white noise, but loud toddler) room.
melody330, acorn99, omg thank you!! That makes me feel so much better. Obviously, I knew she would adjust eventually but just couldn't visualize it because it seems like such a big change haha.
Hope B is okay melody330. Keep us posted what the doctor says!
ginabini we also don't have a difference between DC naps and home naps and she's in a quiet dark room with white noise at home and a bright loud room at DC. I'm sure she'll surprise you and do great.
ginabini I had a year mat leave with DS1, and he had no trouble with daycare naps when I went back to work. He caught on to their routines real quick!
Foggy day here. We went to a local playgroup this morning after L's nap. I'm hoping to get both boys down for an afternoon nap at the same time. Fingers crossed!
I am tempted to leave DD1's car seat for dead and buy her a booster. Wrangling a 25 lb carseat out of the car and cleaning bodily fluids out of it is basically my least favorite mom job ever.
littlesthobo, Just starting to see above water. MH applied for a fellowship (and got it), business got crazy, and two kids under two has been no joke. But things have finally leveled out. Both girls are sleeping in the same room (not through the night, but with only one wake up), MHs work has lightened up, and I've gotten into more of a rhythm with this whole WAHM thing.
Hope everyone who's sick or has sick kiddos feels better soon. This time of year is the worst.
Ray sorry you're feeling so awful, that's the worst. Hope you're able to get some rest today!
melody330 hopefully the doctor can help get B feeling better quickly, poor guy.
ginabini great news about finding a new daycare so quickly!
TheTuna15 welcome back! Glad to hear your business is going so well!
We have Sam's 6 month appointment this afternoon, I'm not looking forward to him getting more shots. The two other times he did he was miserable a couple hours later We'll be talking to her about Sam's sleep issues and hoping she can offer some advice because what we're doing is not working and I'm so tired after 6 months of this crap sleep haha

ginabini, for us naps are way worse at daycare. At home he gets 1.5 hour naps and at DC he is lucky to get 40 minutes. Usually he just cat naps in 15 minute intervals all day and by the time he gets home he is so exhausted he just goes to sleep. during the week I rarely ever see him awake and that is super hard for me. I do hope M transitions to their routines well!

I am sitting here eating lunch at my desk. Nothing super exciting happening over here.
S did well transitioning from the Woombie to the Zippadee Zip. The only thing he seems to struggle with is whacking his paci out of his mouth when trying to play with the animal portion of the Wubbanub. Then he gets upset that he has no paci and I have to replace it.

Our transition has been awful. As in, at home we get 3-5 hours worth of napping, at daycare we get 45 minutes to 1.5 hours per day. We've just moved from part time care to full time care, so hopefully they can figure out something. But so far, I just get an overtired crabby mess to deal with post daycare.
mugster, sarcaztic10, ugh. This is exactly what I'm afraid of!! Mikayla is sooo social. She doesn't want to miss out on anything going on so I can totally see her not wanting to nap with so much happening around her. Fingers crossed!!

My car is totaled from my accident last week. I can't buy anything until we get a check and my H has to drive to work an hour away. I'm stuck walking. Preschool is a mile away but it's cold and I'm pushing a 50 pound stroller and wearing an almost 20 pound baby. My house is kinda falling apart but I have hope to be functional in a week or so.
B has been having a great day of epic naps and snuggles with H. I'm hoping it doesn't turn south overnight, which is what everyone keeps telling me will happen. I'm doing a steam shower before bed with him, humidifier in his room and propped mattress. FX we don't take a turn for the worse overnight! He had his first dose of steroids so I'm hopeful.
Good luck tonight melody330. When E had croup last month, night 1 was great in terms of sleep. But everything went south on night 2 (and most nights since then). It was a complete disaster. Hope you guys fare better!

I ordered a stroller kick board so I can push both kids instead of push and wear. I also got an hour yoga class today which was soooo overdue and lovely. I miss my car but we are going to make it until we can buy a second car.
