calindi, congrats lady! How did I miss this? Tell us about miss squish. =)
Thanks :-) I kinda hibernated for awhile so there was no AW announcement.
We got pregnant our first cycle back with the RE on Follistim + TI. Really easy pregnancy, though I did have some morning sickness this time. We ended up being hurricane evacuees at 36 weeks pregnant, which was stressful but turned out okay since our home was not damaged thankfully, and our hospital quickly made repairs to reopen. It made the last month of my pregnancy fly by though because I was super distracted with cleaning up our yard and helping friends who had far more damage.
Just like last time, I had prodromal labor, so I started having real contractions every 10-15 minutes at about 37 w. It happened last time so I didn't think much of it. At 38w4d, my well check up showed DD having decels during contractions so they gave me a NST which showed the same thing. They sent me to the hospital, but there it wasn't happening on the monitors. They told me I'd either have to be monitored every 2 days until she showed or induce at 39 weeks. So at 39w1d, we went for an induction. Super easy, I got pitocin and then as things ramped up got my epidural before they broke my water. I was never in pain. I practically sneezed her out with two pushes. I didn't tear at all. It was pretty much laughably easy. We could see why she had decels though - she had a tight knot in her cord. She was very skinny, too, which the pediatrician told me is likely from the same reason. I'm really glad we induced.
She struggled at first with being interested in eating, and she still clamps down sometimes, but she figured it out and regained birth weight by 10 days. Now she's a chunker and just the sweetest most mellow baby. She is so smiley and easy going, just wants to sit and watch everything. She's not a big fan of any swings, nor was her brother, but everything else she seems to like. Which is a relief because DS hated everything except being carried.
