Well here anyway We were under a major snowfall advisory today. Set alarm for Dh early. He came back to bed as there was no snow. Turns out, the pavement we saw is covered in ice. Yes, freezing rain AGAIN! I'm watching tons of cars skid at the stop sign. Damn this shit is the worst! Now Ryan has my cold and is all congested. So daycare might send him home early given his runny nose.

Morning! We are also in a winter storm warning. They are predicting like 6in over the course of today into tomorrow. No snow yet though. H is at preschool, S and I are hanging at home waiting for the store to open. It's annoying that they don't open till 10. I need to take a pic of S today for her birthday invites because I need to get them ordered.
Winter storm warning here too. Mix of snow and "wintry mix" up to 7 inches or something. Gross.
I have to actually put clothes on (or at least a bra) today because someone is coming over to grab the cardboard boxes we still have lying around from when we moved.
Idk what his deal was last night. He woke up screaming at 10, and was screaming or otherwise grumpy on and off for 2 hours. No amount of cuddles, snack, bottle, relaxing, playing, etc helped. We gave him some motrin and tried to bring him in bed with us when it got to be midnight but he still wasn't having it. So we stuck him in the crib and let him CIO. Nothing else we could do. He eventually fell asleep. He's still sleeping, and it's almost 10. Idk what that was last night. I'll have to check for a tooth or something. Canines should come before molars though right? Or this is just leap shit. Yuck.

kellybenelly83 there has been a ridiculous amount of freezing rain this year. I was all set to go to the library since the snow hadn't started but then DH left for work and realized it was all ice. It looks like a mix of snow and ice right now.
I think I will try making some fingerpaint for the kiddos since we'll likely be inside all day.
A baby waking up 3X/night sucks. 3 wake-up X2 babies and I am tired. My longest stretches of sleep over the last couple nights has been 2 hours. It was getting better but we're back into teething again. *yawn*

Also, DS's favourite thing to do right now is squeeze past the baby swings we have in front of the entertainment unit to play with the game systems. He actually removed the DVD from the PlayStation this morning.

Canines are after the 1 year molar, and they are a bitch.
ETA: sorry for the rough night. I hope you don't get a repeat performance tonight.

Right? I feel like the weather has been excessive with the frozen shit. Ottawa no better I guess? (Were like 2 hrs from you tops) my husband works on the island and getting in today he left before it was really bad but it's going to be a shitshow coming home. I hope the babies have a better night tonight for you!
Ryan is home, no use for daycare with this cold. I was told to try and keep him home tomorrow and hopefully some tlc will get him better faster and he can go back and not infect the general population of daycare.

Yes, this. Canines are the wooooorst.
DD got hers around 16 months I believe? It was before DS was born so I didn't have to deal with canines and a newborn.
We're under a freezing rain warning here. It was supposed to start last night, and schools were cancelled due to weather conditions. Except we haven't got anything, yet.
I work this evening, so I'm looking forward to napping in a few minutes. DD was awake at midnight last night. I thought she was getting sick or something because of the way she was acting (clinging to me, not wanting to lay down), but she's acting fine this morning.

Thanks. Two nights in a row of 2.5 hours of sleepy cranky baby motn and I am beat. And I know I can't really complain because some moms are doing this on the regular, but I'm not used to this, I've gone soft! Lol.

I did not realize canines came in after the first set of molars, but I'm relieved it got brought up. L's top 2 first year molars have already popper through and I was so confused about the skipping of the canines. The molars have not been super fun for anyone, so now I'm really dreading those canines!

DD2 is starting to teeth her molars and I can see canines starting to enter the deep gums. DS is still working on lateral incisors.
You know, I can't even remember DD1 cutting her canines. I remember being surprised to find her molars poking through at one point. Apparently she was a unicorn teether, ha. I'm not sure how close DD2 is to cutting them and she is already a cranky mess.
eyelashedviper, it's possible. She's had night terrors before, luckily this time didn't seem like one of those, because she wasn't just screaming and thrashing. Her tummy could've been bothering her as well, because she had a lot of yogurt before bed.
I wanted to sleep in today, or at least be able to go back to bed. H usually sneaks off right when we get downstairs with both kids, so today I said I was heading back to bed. He then tells me he feels like he needs to throw up. Like really dude, you're fine. lol And he is fine. I guess he just didn't want me to sleep in. So annoying

Add me to the crap sleep club. She woke up around midnight, laughed for an hour, then cried for an hour. We tried to let her CIO at that point, but 5 minutes after we put her in the crib she threw up. DH held her while she sleep-screamed the rest of the night while I had nightmares about my house being soaked in vomit. All the coffee today.
Sorry for the crappy sleep ladies! Hope the coffee is strong.
I'm going to check out a new daycare today so I kept V home with me while I work until we go. She's just opened a bag of walnuts all over the kitchen floor and is eating them.

swivelchair5 that sounds like really awful night, I'm so sorry. I think L had belly issues too as I could hear all kinds of gurgling every time I was putting him back down.
I wish I liked coffee. With my luck it would just get the babies hyped up.

Hyped up babies would be no bueno today. Maybe you should eat a lot of turkey and see if the tryptophan makes the babies sleepy.
I think S has come into some bad sleep habits. Every night between 12/12:30 she wakes up crying. She's not hungry, just wants to cuddle. I need to figure out how to get her to sleep through it.

I don't remember either of my boys teething. All of a sudden one day they had a mouth full of teeth ha. DD is making up for them tho, thankfully it hasn't affected her sleep.
Sorry for all the crappy sleep/teeth troubles! Also for the crappy weather. I'm ready for Spring.
apunicorn , I hope you like the new daycare! Are you not totally happy with the one where she is now?
Just came back and the new one is a winner! Yeah I wasn't 100% happy with the current one. She has the TV on a lot and has absolutely no structure which was fine for the time being but as she gets older I want her to have more scheduled activities. The new one has the kids singing, drawing, making crafts, etc. V is a pretty wild child and it's good for her to have group activities that rein her in a little.

Yay! Glad you like it! Ryan's does crafts and outdoor play a lot. Naps and meals/snacks are scheduled which I love. He came home with a craft at Christmas and I died of cute.

I've been so busy at work today, this is the first chance I've had to sit down and even think, and my day is over in just over an hour. Went by super fast.
Sorry for all the teething and sleep crap for everyone! So far we still have 3 teeth and the 4th still just teetering there not quite broken out.
I'm in bed. I needed serious sleep after work. Need to pump before I get the kids though.... Sorry for all the crap sleep! Maybe the babies are as stressed about turning 1 as we are....
