I'm counting down the days until the kids are in school. Sorry? 😂
Honestly that's where I moved to. My March group (about 10 of us) just created a Facebook group and chit chat through messenger all day, so I kind of forgot to come here. 😬
I get it. When my May 12 group went to FB I thought I'd hate it, but it was so much easier. It had a whole different feel and was easier to chat, share pics and random stuff. And it felt more like you knew people. But I know some people want the anonymity of TCF and I wouldn't want to lose anyone.
I don't have a preference on keeping it here or moving to FB, either is fine with me. Just tell me where to go and I'll be there!
As for today, not much going on. Working and once I'm off we're going to take Sam on a walk to the park since it's supposed to be a beautiful day. I put him in the swing for the first time over the weekend and he loved it so I'm excited to take him back!

katelou we have K registration next month. I'm in denial, excited, and scared. We also live in a very good district so registration is like CIA level of clearance. It takes more evidence to enter public school that I've ever had to provide for anything else.
Tonight I'm cutting my hair and I'm a little scared I'll choose the wrong thing. I want lighter and more layers. I think. Ugh. I was so sure and now I'm wimping out.
cabbagecabbage good luck tonight with the hair, I'm sure it'll turn out great! I'm the same way when it comes to mine, I get so nervous to do anything new with it. I'm having it colored on Saturday and keep having doubts about it. I always tell myself that it's just hair, if I don't like the color I can change it and if I don't like the cut it'll grow out soon enough!

Thanks mcktymck. I'm usually a "it's just hair" person but I'm feeling unattractive with my pp body and I think I've used my pretty long hair as a security blanket. But I don't think it's even super flattering and it's getting to be a pita. I guess I'm afraid I'll cut off a few inches and look older and fatter. #petty.
I'm kind of take the old faithful approach to hair. I am a dark brown and always dye it blonde (even my parents have suggested I look better blonde). When pregnant, I had the ombre look going lol.
Working over here. HK went back to daycare today and got a text from the teacher saying she is doing great! Love that we have great relationships with her teachers.
I'm all for a FB group as well but fine either way.

I told a student that I'd be in my office till 1... technically true, but I need to pump. Here's hoping he procrastinates... If not, I have a sign on the door saying I'm not available till 12:30. I need to not be so loose with my availability.

I have been drowning in life i don't get a chance to post much. I am annoyed with facebook currently all my hs classmates and relatives are extremely conservative. I am considering deactiving my account because i dont feel like its doing much to enhance my life.
So I am somewhat anti Facebook.
Lil dude is starting to be better at sitting up not perfect but getting a lot steadier. This excites me a lot.
Question of the day... Does anyone else's LO not like to roll over? M has rolled from belly to back a bunch and from back to belly once, so we know she can but she just doesn't like to. When we went for her 6 month visit the pedi sort of raised her eyebrows when we said she has rolled but doesn't frequently. Anyone else have this before?

Yes! R has rolled about 6 times total in 2 months. She just doesn't, and doesn't try. My pedi is pretty laid back and said it was fine and rolling isn't a very good milestone for judging development. My friend the developmental ped said the same thing.

I have no strong feelings regarding a FB group. If one forms though, I'll def join.
And add me to the club of being so excited for my kids to be in school all day every day! Only T-5 or 6 years!
ginabini, at E's 4 month appointment, I told his ped that he can roll both ways but rarely does it. She was unconcerned. Then around 5 months, he started rolling belly to back all the time but not the other way. But just last week he decided that he liked rolling and now rolls all the time (he's almost 6 months old). Like one day, it all clicked, and he said ok, I like moving so I'll roll. So M just may wake up one day next week and do it. I think the best you can do is do a lot of floor time and put toys out of her reach to try to encourage it. But I don't think you should be in panic mode at this point regarding rolling.

Thanks. I didn't think I should be worried. I just found her head tilt strange. It was like I wasn't worried until she made me think it was weird haha. This child just already has a mind of her own I think. We're back to refusing solids after a few days of lovinggg cereal. She is on her own time, I guess! haha

On rolling, S rolls from back to belly pretty often but once he is on his belly he has no interest in rolling to his back.
AFM, I don't have opinions on whether we move to FB or not. In some ways I think it's easier to keep up with everyone and share pictures but I will come back to TCF anyway to participate/lurk on other boards.
I am currently pumping and lurking the PAIF board because stuff is going down there.
sarcaztic10 I was just lurking the PAIF board checking out the drama. Definitely some sketchy stuff considering why TCF was created in the first place!

I agree, its shady AF. There needs to be a better explanation.
Anyone have a discernible 6 month growth spurt? We haven't had one (6 months, 1 week) that I'd say yes, definitely a growth spurt, but today he's willing to eat more often and he's been sleeping more than he's been awake. Would be nice if he just slid down the curve a bit because he's a late spurter haha.
Rolling - ds rolled belly to back a few times at 2 months, then didn't much. Just recently he's doing it more and rolls back to belly a lot. Dd rolled back to belly at 4 - 5 months, but didn't go belly to back until later when she was in pt for her flat head and the pt made us work on it. She was a late crawler and a late walker (17m) but no delays and plenty strong, just didn't care to do those things. Babies go at their own pace and have their own interests.

We've been hit with a bad cold/flu combo over here. It's been miserable and I'm so sleep deprived. I think J is teething too. She's cranky pretty much 80% of the day. Doesn't want to be held but doesn't want to be put down either. I'm finally feeling better today but the lack of sleep is really getting to me. J takes forever to fall asleep now and then is usually up every 30 minutes for the first half of the night. I know she feels miserable because I feel miserable but still, sleep child! DS has also been acting out lately and whining crying constantly and I'm assuming it's because he's not getting enough attention. Add that with being stuck in the house mostly for a week and I'm about to crack. Sorry for the downer post.
