I'm tired. My cold doesn't seem to be getting worse but I have a headache, maybe from skipping coffee yesterday. I figured tea would be more helpful in fighting it.
Sleep last night wasn't as good as it has been lately. Lots of wakeups and broken up sleep. I think my cold is making me even more tired. Currently C is sleeping in my arms but I have to put him down and go eat something before I pass out. Just have to decide where so he hopefully doesn't wake up.
Home and eating a quick lunch before picking up DS from preschool.
We finally had C's 2-month check-up this morning; it was supposed to be last week but she was not showing up under our insurance so we delayed it while that got worked out. She did great with the shots (seriously cried for maybe a second and then was all smiles) but spit the oral vaccine back up, along with the contents of her tummy, poor girl. Then she was back to smiling...she is just the most chill, laid-back little thing.
I'm on day 11 of this 'upper respiratory virus' and am beyond over it; just within the last hour or two I started feeling a touch better, though. Could this be the end?? FX.

Ugh starbuck27. I know how it feels to have a useless backup. I did so much in those 2 weeks back to work that my backup couldn't figure out. The other day I signed into my work email to get a presale code for a concert (we get perks for the venue near by) and saw a bunch of unanswered simple emails from weeks ago. I had to tell myself no and shut it down before I started going through them. I hope they get your shit figured out soon so you can get into your part time position.
I decided to reintroduce dairy today. It hasn't made a lick of difference so I'm done. I missed Yoga yesterday due to weather so I went to a different class today instead. The instructor seriously looked like Zack Effron. It was distracting lol. DH and I are going out to dinner this evening. So I'm hoping we will be able to reconmect.
Busy few days around here. Baptism for L on Sunday, 2mo appt yesterday, and DS has an appt with the ENT later this afternoon. Just soaking up these last few days of leave since I'm back at work next Wednesday.

We've had a pretty chill day. Lillian slept until 7:45 which was nice. My normal playgroup was cancelled so we went to the park for a bit with another mom instead. Then lunch and now I'm about to clean a bit before going to get dh. My mom is coming over tonight since DH has a meeting. We are going to look at a table for her house. I'm hoping to clean a bit more while she's here too. Everything is a disaster and it's driving me crazy.
Also, Lilah has started to grab at toys! It's really cute.
I'm enjoying being spoiled today by my mom. She is doing my laundry and changing all the poopy diapers. She also brought my favorite sugar cookies. She's the best.
I'm in denial that tomorrow is surgery day. I made my list but still need to pack my bags. Calvin needs a bath tonight but otherwise requires little prep.
So per the ped O is too good at sleeping on his back lol. The sides of his head are getting flat bc he lays on his back with his head to one side. She suggested he spends more time with his head straight back such as in his car seat! Which he hates and I think it's funny bc I thought you were supposed to limit time in the car seats. You just can't win.

Late to check in today..
N is 2 months and we went to visit my office which was nice but weirdly felt like I hadn't been gone/been gone forever.
I got a nice angry orchard cider to try tonight that is less sweet, so I'm looking forward to that, and bought ice cream for the first time in a few weeks..
cookswithwine9 babywearing is good for it also, if that works for you.
I bought a k'tan and tried to wear him twice. He screamed bloody murder both times. But I think I might try again because it would be so useful to be able to do so.

cookswithwine9 try the ktan when it's almost nap time and then he may conk out...Just be prepared to wear him for the entire nap!
Does he like a bouncer, RNP, or swing? Those are good opportunities to put pressure on back of head too. The ktan would keep pressure of the sides, but wouldn't really put it on the back.

tallblonde He likes the rnp. I've started putting him in the rnp for naps instead of the crib. He's not a huge fan of the swing. And I have a bounce seat but he turns his head in that too.
Evening everyone! Busy day so I haven't had the chance to properly check in. We had DS's ENT appointment today and without even looking in his ears said he needed tubes just from his history. When he did look in his ears, surprise, surprise, both ears were both really bad. We're now trying a 4th antibiotic to clear up his ear infection. I've never been so excited about a procedure in my life. Lets hope tubes help the ear infections which in turn "should" help the seizures.
