Ridley (8m) had a nasty cold last week and stopped breastfeeding for 4 days. She was still drinking water and eating solids so the doctor wasn't concerned. But Saturday she started feeling better and started breastfeeding again. Great. Except then she stopped having wet diapers. She's only been having one or two barely wet diapers a day since Saturday.
We went to the doctor yesterday and she's not dehydrated, so that's good, but the doctor had no idea why she's not peeing. I'm kind of freaking out. We go in for an ultrasound of her abdomen in the morning to check for blockages. I was hoping she would be back to her normal output by now, but that's not happening.
I would appreciate any good vibes you can send me. Have any of you had experience with something like this? I tried to Google to see if I could find anything but haven't had much luck since she's not dehydrated. I just don't know what to do for her. I've been pushing fluids but it's not changing anything.

Looks like a UTI. Her kidneys looked good on the ultrasound so they don't think there's anything wrong there, luckily. Just waiting on the script for the antibiotics and we can go home!
Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. Thank you.

UTIs are no joke. I hope the meds kicked in and she has been flooding diapers all day.
She's still not really peeing like normal yet, but she's getting there. We've had one wet diaper that was more than the barely wet we had been getting, so sort of success. We go back to the doctor on Monday, so hopefully we'll see more success by then.

Still not good. She's got diarrhea because of the antibiotics and it's giving her bad diaper rash. She's still not peeing so the doctor wanted us to go back to the ER to get tests done but they did absolutely nothing. I'm so pissed right now. Seriously raging. The doctor completely blew us off. Ridley perks up a lot and gets all happy when she's around people and the doctor walked in, said she looks happy so she must be fine, and left. That's it. I was so pissed I couldn't even think straight. I should have requested a different doctor, but we just left. Ugh. I don't even know what to do. We go back to the doctor in a few days. Hopefully things will magically improve by then. I don't know. I'm definitely going to the other children's hospital next time, though.
Oh man @led, this is not the update I was hoping for. I am so sorry. I really hope you get your answers or baby girl does just get better. I am so sorry. I would be so angry too. How can a ped. Just push you off like that. How awful!

@led I'm so sorry your poor girl is still having issues. And WTF to that doctor?! Is she eating/drinking? FX for something miraculous to happen here soon.
Yeah, she's still eating and we're pushing fluids like crazy. She's drinking about 8oz of Pedialyte a day plus some water. Plus all the breastmilk.
A little better. She has had two wet diapers and her diaper rash isn't as bad. She's still got really bad diarrhea, but I think that'll last until she's done with the antibiotics (only 2 more days).

She's still really fussy and has diarrhea. She's done with the antibiotics so hopefully her gut will get back to normal soon. She's still not peeing, but we're hoping that's just because she's losing all her fluids through her poop. Ugh. I don't even know anymore. I'm so worried about her. She's just really not acting like herself.
