Good morning! I'm going to yoga later this morning. I was supposed to run before H went to work but I was moving slowly so we are planning on running together tonight. Plus, it's like 30 out right now and it'll be like 49 tonight so that's better anyways
OB appointment today and then I want to check out a consignment shop near us for a double stroller. It's been a while since I was there but I remember them having pretty decent baby gear.
I should also start working on emptying out the 3rd bedroom but I don't really feel like it.
Good morning! I'm glad this is not March 17 because I am not ready to have a baby in 2 months! Even 4 seems overwhelming.
I'd be okay with 2 months because I'm just over being pregnant already in a way that didn't happen for me until much later with DD, but it is overwhelming to think of adding a second kid in 4 months...terrifying actually.
I need a magic potion that makes me want to clean. Does that exist? Or a housekeeping service. That would work too
Going to pick out and buy paint this afternoon. I wish I wasn't so terrible with colors and design. Oh well! I'll probably just pick colors out of an idea book and go with that.

Same. I'm both ready and not ready at the same time. Mostly not ready though LOL.

emmalynn what are you going to paint? I'm not good with colors either. I'm REALLY hoping to finish up our laundry room today if DS gives me a good nap.

Master suite. I want grey for the bath, just need to pick a shade (ha!) And then in thinking burgundy in the bed room? I have no idea. The bedroom needs an accent color too, so I need to find colors that coordinate. Or would ut be weird to use the same grey from the bath as the accent in the bedroom?
I'm still hung up on this whole nursery/guest room situation and now considering a sofabed in there instead of a full bed. I'm hoping H receives the idea well!
Kiddo got up this morning and promptly crawled into bed with me, his head on my belly. He really loves snuggling with my belly / his little brother. I hope this continues after kiddo is born!
I'm pushing through some admin stuff I've been putting off. I mostly want to nap, though. I am going to attempt the egg curry tonight that I wasn't able to make earlier this week.
lupincat, thanks for the reminder to check out consignment shops around me.

I painted my bathroom a dark gray and loved it so much I picked a slightly different shade for by bedroom, so it sounds good to me to use as an accent

This is exactly how I feel
ETA the adding a second kid thing I mean. It's so scary to think about.
Literally ran to pee for 30 seconds WITH the door open and somehow in that span of time DS found my wallet and was saying "I like it!" while putting a penny in his mouth 🙈 I got it out of his mouth but I have NO idea how many coins were in my wallet! I tried asking him if he ate one but he's a toddler so I've gotten "yes" "no way" and "yup!"... guess I'll be checking poop for a few days.

I watch hoarders to get me in the mood lol. It either makes me need to clean obsessively or makes me feel not as bad about the state of my house.

Happy Friday! Sitting here watching Secret Life of Pets with DD. She did great at her 3 year appt this morning. She got a bunch of stickers and got to tell the doc about her baby brother so she was happy. Then I took her to Starbucks for a cake pop as a reward for being brave.
I really need someone to send a cleaning fairy to my house because it is a mess and I have zero motivation!
I need to clean my house too... specifically the bathroom which is the part I hate most! DH said he'd clean the tub this weekend so I can take a bath... really hoping he does because I want a bath and also do not want to clean the tub lol

So I think I just messed up my kitchen sink. I have a black e-granite sink and MH has a very bad habit of not running the disposal after washing dishes. My sink stunk and I couldn't get rid of the smell by just running the disposal and since I didn't have any disposal cleaner, I just poured a little bleach down the drain. My drain area now has a bluish tint rather than black. Ugh.

+1 Add me to the cleaning fairy need. I should be doing something productive during DS's nap, but I'm not. Instead I'm watching videos on youtube of siblings meeting their new brothers/sisters for the first time and crying like an idiot.
sleepymonkey sorry about the sink, but yay for DD doing well at her appt!
No plan Friday for us so we've just been playing and I've been doing laundry. I started sewing again and I'm working on baby quilts for friends. Working on 4 at once but I found a super easy pattern and have been cranking them out.
P. S. Love the birth story thread!!!! I love to read birth stories and stalk the other BMBs for them.
I went to Goodwill to start stocking up on some baby clothes. Dumb question: how many articles of clothing does a baby need? And do little babies wear pants?

Personally I would have 2 outfits per day for however long you do before laundry. And yes to pants when going outside in cooler weather!

Yeah, 2 outfits a day is a good rule. We had way more onsies than pants for DD- we just didn't put her in pants unless it was cooler because we usually had her wrapped up in a thin blanket. We needed the most clothes between newborn and 6 months. But some never fit into newborn.

I preferred sleepers for the first few months - ones with snaps make it a little easier to get at a dirty diaper.
Also, clothes are a really common gift at showers (especially for girls) but also when people make first visits after baby arrives.
