Happy new year everyone! We finally decided on an infant car seat, convertable car seat, and stroller! This has been weighing on me for months so I'm super excited to be done. We're getting all Nuna stuff. Such a cool brand! We went out for lunch near the baby store so it was a nice day so far (and brought home delicious looking cupcakes lol). Now we're home and about to tackle some major house projects to touch the surface of getting ready for the baby.

Everybody is talking about prepping for the nursery and I'm over here like not me...It makes me feel like a slacker. The crib is in the room so that counts right? I'm not super worried about getting anything done since baby will be in our room for at least 6 months. And since we are team green I want to wait anyway so I can either move dd's pink stuff over or get navy stuff. DD is transitioning slowly to a big girl room and she loves purple so the pink that is there now will go! However, we do need to redo dd's closet bc we are not utilizing her large walk in like we could for storing toys, etc as well as her clothes and shoes. We are going to move from a toddler bed to twin bed so we need to get the bed, a new dresser (hers goes with the crib and the changing table attaches to it), and bedside table. So I guess I have a lot of work in her room before baby though!
Went to the gym this morning and played with dd the rest of the morning. She is napping now and DH had to run into work while she naps. We are super exciting around here!
cubbiebear325 you're at least ahead of me, our nursery is still in shambles. No crib or anything. I'll get to it eventually!
Consignment shops were a strike out, no double strollers to be found or any other baby gear I may want. It's hard shopping for baby clothes too when you know you have no need for any. Oh well, the hunt continues!
I think H and I settled on a name. I was all "We'll see what she looks like!" and some element of that still remains. But we're 99% set on Freya It makes things feel more real.

icedtea, beautiful name! I agree that having a name makes it feel more real. Our name conversations have stalled. We'll settle on something eventually. I hope.
I planned to stay up later tonight to try to get some stuff done. Here it is 8:30 and I'm in bed. So much for accomplishment.
rosesquared Nuna infant seat is my first choice right now. I want to see how it fits in our car and if it's compatible with an older Bugaboo stroller we were given.

PirateCat yeah we love how the pipa sits in the tavo stroller but we didn't love how it connected to other strollers. Part of the problem though is that we're both super short so we couldn't get great leverage putting it in and out. Definitely find a good store with competent sales people. That made a huge difference for us and our decision!

lupincat. Well the only reason the crib is in the other room is because we were too lazy to take it downstairs since we also need to get started on finishing it and the bedroom next door was where it would eventually be. We moved dd to a toddler bed in September and moved the crib next door then and less than 1 week later found out I was pregnant. The crib in the room did it =)
But technically I have done nothing further with the nursery since then...haha!
