I'll start! DH is away so parents are coming up to help me get stuff done. I'm happy because DS is driving me bonkers today.
Planning on having my mom finish trim painting and my dad put stuff in the attic. Should I feel bad about accepting this help? Finally decided on a paint color (Benjamin moore pale smoke) so my sister is coming up tomorrow to help paint DS new rooms and he can play with his cousins.
Hoping to feel accomplished by tomorrow night but I'm tired!
It's a pretty quiet weekend for us, which we need. Yesterday afternoon parents got to watch some of DD's dance class, so DH and I both left work and little early to do that and then take the kids for pizza. Right now I'm watching the kids do gymnastics class (those of you having two kids close in age - a big advantage is you can sign them up for stuff together)! Then I'm dropping them at my parents' condo for a couple hours so I can get things done around the house. My parents are in town for a month, which is a huge help.
The rest of the weekend will just be visiting playgrounds, going to the gym, getting a car wash - sounds boring but I'm pretty excited for the chance to get some stuff done
Ran a couple errands this morning. Back home now willing C to go down for his nap. DH is working and probably won't get home before 5. I'm incredibly moody today and everything/one seems to frustrate me.

starsandshamrocks123 Yes, take whatever help you can get! We have no local family, so when I was having all my medical issues earlier in the month, my neighbor offered to come over and clean my house. You bet I accepted her offer!
Today I'm finally taking down the Christmas tree. And it's nice and sunny outside, so I'll do some gardening too.
When DS wakes up from his nap we're going to watch H curl. Then after supper my cousin is coming over to watch A Series of Unfortunate Events. We both read the books when we were kids and loved them. Did anyone else here read them?

starsandshamrocks123 - +1 to accepting help from people. Both of my aunts and my dad came over for several hours a couple times this week to watch DS while I was at the hospital and later in the week so I could rest or get things done. My aunts told me that they WANT to help, they just want me to tell them how/when they can best help. AFM, today my mom and I are going to do a little baby shopping and then see La La Land. No other big plans for the weekend, but it will be nice to have some quiet(ish) time with DH. I think DH and DS will enjoy their time together today, but DH will probably comment on how tired he is afterward. Lols for days at how much energy running around after the toddler takes. Welcome to my life. :-)
My annoying neighbor was coming to the door so I quickly grabbed my dog to put him in the bathroom since he hates her. I was rushing back down the steps and fell forward. I purposely landed on my hands and knees to avoid my belly. I jacked up my ankle, wrist, shoulder, and back. MIL helped me up while DH got rid of the neighbor. She is on my shit list even more now.

starsandshamrocks123, I like that color! We are still deciding on a light gray but have narrowed it down to 2 colors I think. We are deciding tomorrow so we can tell the painter what color we want. That is so nice that your family is coming to help and you shouldn't feel guilty accepting their help if they offered! mreve, I have never read a Series of Unfortunate Events but I do have them in my classroom that I pull out occasionally for advanced readers PA Mom, oh no! I hope you're okay!
We went to a 1st birthday party today and then went to BRU and I think picked out our crib and dresser. We also narrowed down paint colors for the nursery and will decide tomorrow. Tomorrow is for running errands including buying some more maternity clothes because all I have is 1 pair of jeans and my regular yoga pants are not getting tight.

Gray owl is one! I can't remember the other and I'm watching Netflix in bed now so I'll check in the morning.

I'm going to a baby shower tomorrow. This is my first one on the "other side". I have so many emotions about it. It's also for my SIL so I'm very excited about cousins so close in age
Me: 29 DH: 35 NTNP since May 2013 charting since June 2014 dx: Graves disease (radioactive iodine), Crohns disease (abdominal surgeries) MMC October 2015 (9 weeks) Severe MFI diagnosis July 2015
I'm going to a baby shower tomorrow. This is my first one on the "other side". I have so many emotions about it. It's also for my SIL so I'm very excited about cousins so close in age
I have mixed feelings about my own baby shower becaue I know 1 friend is dealing with IF and is TFAS and I know how painful showers were for me. She is even helping to plan it and seems okay but I know what a good front people can put on. IF makes you thibk differently forever. I hope you have a good time today.

I feel this way too. IF totally makes me think differently about everything I do pregnancy related. I don't post often on FB because any pregnancy post hurt when were we trying and I try to keep comments on my team calls to a minimum or shut down convos because I know two of my downlines are still fighting IF. H made a comment at a restaurant about "his wife's weird pregnancy craving" to the waitress and I scolded him because "we don't know her story". It's a new awareness and IF is for sure stealing joy of pregnancy because I know others are still hurting.

We had our anatomy scan today and found out that we're having another boy!!!! Everything looked great, and the tech was super nice and took a long time to show us everything and explain all the measurements. We could even see his little tongue moving around while he was swallowing!
Each appointment I have at this place has really encouraged me that I made the right decision in switching my care provider. There's no way the tech at my old ob's office would've spent that long pointing things out and explaining everything. I was really nervous in the beginning, but these midwives have taken such good care of us so far.
I'm glad you are happy with your switch in care providers. I had to change mid-way through my pregnancy with DS because my doctor moved, and while there's nothing wrong with my new doctor, I still miss the one I had and wish she was still around.
I kind of feel like I may have hit the jackpot. I just spoke with our HR and based on my due date, I will be shy of FMLA by 4-6 weeks, BUT my work allows the 6 weeks off standard for maternity leave and then when I hit the FMLA eligible, I get an ADDITIONAL 12 weeks of of protected time. So IF baby comes on time, I could end up with up to 18 weeks off for leave. About 9 weeks is unpaid but we have already been putting away in savings for this time and I have LLR so it is not a huge deal. That is almost 5 months-All of Summer and most of Fall!

That's awesome! I also lucked out because of my due date and being a teacher. I will be able to stay home until mid-November but Sept until I go back will be unpaid.
Does anyone else have crazy strong fingernails right now? Mine are growing super quickly and are not breaking so they are ridiculously long... Perhaps extra calcium?

Yup-here too. When I break a nail I am like "muh, it will grow back overnight".
