Today's the last day the ILs are in town. They still haven't showed up today. I hope they know this doesn't mean they get to stay here later. DS has school tomorrow & he's going to bed at his regular time.

I did not get my check from last week's driving. She gave me this whole sob story about how they were in the hospital for 14 hours the previous day or whatever & she forgot so she said she'd drop it off like she's usually done. Still haven't got it. I have a feeling she'll just wait until tomorrow & leave it with the girl. That pisses me off. I don't forget to get her, why do you keep forgetting to give me my money?! So freaking annoying

I was going to take DD to panera for lunch today, but its too cold to take her out more than needed. And I'm doing lunch an hour early hoping I can maybe trick her into thinking its later and shell take a nap. 3 hours of sleep is not enough for me.
This is more of a judgement than a moan. This weekend I attended the first gender reveal that I have ever been to. It was fine, whatever. This is their third child and since it was revealed that it is a boy, they went ahead and let everyone know the baby's name...Stetson Wyatt. Why don't people show respect for their own children? Two guesses on which state this couple is from.

It is too cold to take DS out to play. I don't care about the snow but I'm over the frigid temps! He loves the snow too so it's sad because he doesn't understand why we can't go out.
Also how sad that DH was looking at the weather and goes "Oh only 6 inches for Wednesday. That's not bad" We've had TWO seasons worth of snow in less than 6 weeks. JFC.

My mother recently became fb friends with the ILS. Dh told mil specifically not to post pics of ds because she's friends with everyone & their mother in the town we met (long story short, lots of people we hate.) My mom told me this morning she posted pics of DS. I'm pissed off.

You can set parameters on facebook where even if someone shares your photo, it will only be seen by mutual facebook friends. I speak from experience with SIL.

DH is not on FB & I'm not friends with MIL. I know, super weird.

Preschool closed at 1pm today. We're not even supposed to get any snow until after 5pm. So stupid.
I could get on board with Wyatt - if anything, it's getting a little too popular (top 50 for the last 3 years). The first name is atrocious...maybe they will call him by his middle name, since that's also pretty popular in that area.

Wyatt is acceptable. It is the combination with the first name (which is bad enough of its own) that throws me over the edge. Does this kid come with a spitoon?
My sister hates butterflies. WTF? She said she hates moths and butterflies are just pretty moths. I asked her if she kicks puppies too.
I'll admit, I don't have any love for butterflies. They freak me out. One or two I can handle, but I could never go into a butterfly garden or anything like that.
I was trying to persuade her to bring her kids up to the Butterfly Pavilion (an indoor rainforest with lots of loose flying butterflies).

It's Monday, it's a holiday, it's beautiful outside, but DH and I both still have to work. Daycare is closed so we're paying a neighbor to watch DS so we can both work. I think it sucks that companies don't follow school/bank holidays because it really puts parents in a bind when school/daycare is closed and work isn't. President's Day and MLK Day are the two that screw us every year.

This is so my ILs too. The world revolves around their timing.

That sucks. One of the things I love about my daycare is that they hardly ever close. They are closed on Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day and two or three other days of the year - probably some combination of Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day.

I am so fed up with DH. I was having major anxiety last night (and had a panic attack the day before), and he was disappointed we weren't going to have sex again. Fuck dude, priorities.

This would bother me so much. We specifically told people we don't care about pics on FB (since most people are private profiles) but I did ask my older sister to not post pictures of LO on her semi-popular lifestyle blog. She's posted pics 3 times and doesn't get why it upsets me each time.

I put cashew milk and truvia in my coffee instead of my normal half&half and white sugar this morning. I'm trying to cut calories but it was a sad, sad cup of coffee. Hoping my body adjusts quickly though.

Clothes shopping was miserable yesterday. I found 3 shirts and 1 pair of jeans I liked enough to buy. I wanted to hit a few more stores but of course DH sent an SOS an hour in because he needed to go to AT&T so then I felt rushed to wrap it up. SIGH.

Try it black. I stopped putting anything in my coffee many years ago to cut calories. It took me about a week to adjust....which isn't too long.
I actually used to take it black before my BFP and now I can't stand it without just a little something to cut the richness. In due time, maybe...

I still feel sick today. I am much better than yesterday. DH just took DD out for an journey. He put points of interest in his old school GPS and is going to drive to find the treasure. His brother and our nephews might tag along. I feel bad because I'm not joining them, but at the same time I know the rest of the week DH is at work and it is just DD and I. I also really need the break after the past 1 1/2 weeks of taking care of everyone. I'm burned out. So I'm PB'ing, watching House' and maybe taking a soak before they come back. I told him to be back by 6:30 so I have about 2 hours to kill.

Same! I was a creamer addict. We are talking.... I wanted coffee with my cream. Many tablespoons of cream. Then I got sick of the calories and went black. It also took me a week. The first cup I gagged down, sort of. I only drank 1/4 of it before dumping. Kept trying. Got through more each time. Now I freaking LOVE black coffee. A few weeks DD put cream in my coffee and I couldn't drink it, it was nasty sweet gross.

Yeah, our DC is generally really good about this too, but we get stuck these 2 days/year. And they're right in the middle of a super busy time at work for me every year so taking off is nearly impossible. DH is always super busy at work, so he has a hard time taking off too. Thankfully, we love our neighbors and the little girl is just getting old enough to babysit (with mom's supervision) and DS loves going to her house.
