I can't seem to remember all the words to my childhood songs. Fishy in the sea, even momma's gonna buy you... Which I never really cared for. Onto the web while I try to remember. Yesterday I took Jane to Target, it was so cool to walk through the baby toys and see everything we already have because of my sister in law. It's a really sad story, but her and my brother decided to let their foster license expire because their last baby boy pulled out the trach from his throat during a nap. She's still having nightmares. They have adopted 6 highly handicapped children and have lost two and now a foster child. I hurt for them and keep telling her how much Jane uses the things she gave us.

Oh and all that was to say that at Target after a nasty blow out for Jane I found a double breast pump bustier that fits and looks ridiculous, but works awesome. So cool I can use my hands now while I pump.
Dh went back to work today. So far so good, though it's only 10:30 and dh has only been gone like 90 minutes. While I miss him, I feel like I will finally be able to get a few things done while the princess naps now. We also didn't have a major fussy time last night! We didn't go to sleep until midnight but it was such a better night overall with no screaming fits.
Cora had her 2 month check up this morning. She's a short chunky 11 pounds even and 20 inches. She got 3 shots and the oral rotavirus -- so now we're watching for fever and dosing her with tylenol The Dr gave us the okay for taking her in the pool when we go in 2 weeks!
just finalized my return to work 🙁 I think I can, I think I can..
I hope I can keep up with pumping. I have weekly meetings with our CEO that are on my lunch break so I'm going to either not be able to go or be late every week. Hopefully he doesn't make it a big deal.

Hi ladies. Not much going on here today. I made a trip to BRU to buy 8oz bottles because my chow hound daughter now eats 6 oz in a feeding. I paid full price for the bottles, but I had a gift card. It's haunting me. I hate paying full price for anything.
I was going to say.... I'm late, but Buffett! I love that song.
catherineoctober they are awesome for opening their home to the children, but that is so sad and hard. I need to get me a hands free pumping bra. I've been saying it for almost 2 months now.
requiressnacks I can't deal with paying price either! And what a piggy. Lol

Out of curiosity, if you're bottle feeding, how many bottles do you have (per baby if you have multiples). What kind are you using?
I bought a set of 3 Playtex Ventaire bottles when I was pregnant and Cora hates them. Her preferred bottles are the cheap-o Parent's Choice bottles -- the ones that cost $1 a piece at Walmart. I bought some Evenflo ones thinking she'd be fine with them since they're the same basic shape/nipple size when I decided I wanted more than 3 and I was at Meijer, and she hates them. I think it's the way they flow that she hates. But at $1 a piece, I figured I could stock up since she likes them, and we have 9 so I only need to wash bottles once a day.
We're in growth spurt mode over here still. She went from eating every two hours night and day to taking a 4.5 hour nap, sleeping for an hour and eating again. I think (hope) the sleep means we're on the downhill side of this.
I also nursed in public for the first time yesterday. We finally ventured out, only for her to lose her mind in Barnes and Noble. I fed her on the cafe patio. Thankfully there weren't too many people around and my husband was there to help, because she's been popping off the boob and screaming repeatedly during each feeding in this growth spurt.

I've got 14 bottles....7 per baby. I'm an idiot and started them on the Dr. Browns. I tried switching them to the basic Avent bottles and they threw a fit. So......we are sticking with the Dr. Browns which are a huge PITA to wash.
Your method was way better. Start with the simple bottle. And at $1 each....that's awesome.
Yay for NIP lola I was always so awkward nursing DS1 in public , but I find nursing shirts or a tank top under a shirt find it so much easier. At least until they're older and every little thing is a distraction, then NIP is tricky.

lola  for NIP. It is tricky when baby pops off. It happened to me the 1st time I NIP...Alex started to choke on my let down and I had to sit him up quickly. Dh was very flustered at having part of my boob exposed.

I use Dr Brown's too and just ordered more because I'm sick of washing them constantly. Although I put them in the dishwasher and just deal. I run it even if there are only bottles. I'm still using the 4 oz bottles and want more but as soon as they get here she'll probably be using the 8 oz ones. I have 4 and tend to do dishes twice a day along with the breast milk collector ones. I think you can use them as bottles, but I don't yet. Jane is gassy a lot so any suggestions are welcome.

I want to start putting mine in the dishwasher. How do you do all the little pieces?

I'd have to look to see how many we have, but I don't use a bottle every day for feeding. They're used more for pumping (when I do). I have Avent that I used with DS1 and 2 also. I have a few 4 oz and a few 9 oz. Never had a problem with any of them taking it. I also have a football team bottle and I think two free ones I got at BRU. I have to check what they are. This time I also have two Spectra bottles that came with my pump.

They sell dishwasher baskets at BRU. I used one with DS1. I had a couple Dr. Brown's with him, but they were the older style. I hated all the parts and found the little holes can still get mold and are really hard to wash. I think the newer style is s little bit different though.

I made the Dr. Brown's mistake with my first. They didn't make things easier and were a complete PITA to wash. Luckily they weren't the wide kind so I was eventually able to transition him to something easier to clean.
