I'm supervising and marking exams all week long and hate my life. I usually love my job, other than the end of January and June! My fitbit is reminding me of how little I'm moving lately, but it's not like I can mark on the treadmill! Jealous of DH and his active job; he's logging 15,000-20,000 steps daily and I'm struggling to hit 10,000...no wonder he's losing more weight than me!
ourcrazynavylife Poor Em I would have flipped too, good thing you weren't there! @dashook Talk about cold, it's been -10 to -15 all this week (i.e. 5-14 F)! Sometimes I wonder why I live in Canada lol nemomof2 I'm so jealous of your skills! Those are all friggen adorable raven Good luck at your appointment! Do you know what you're having yet? Not sure if I missed that. ashlantic Hope you feel better soon and that your washer isn't an expensive fix!
I feel like shit this morning. Woke up at 2 am sick as hell. Something did NOT agree with me, at all. On top of (TMI Tuesday!) both ends spewing, my nose started bleeding. WTF?! Chugged the glucose thing, waiting to have the blood draw now. Hoping today gets better. Coffee and donuts might be involved immediately after this.

Ugh. She slept. I didn't that great (she was pushing me out the bed). She woke up a few times whimpering/crying but went back to sleep. She tried to get up at 6 when her daddy left for work but I put her back in her crib and she's actually still asleep. Hallelujah.
They will "call in a few days with the results" of my test. Great... I still got coffee and donuts. (Please ignore girl scout cookies in background. They don't count cause they're seasonal, right? )
My interview is today!!! 3pm CST so say a little prayer, send a good vibe, or think a happy thought for me. I woke up with a cold sore yesterday, so that should tell you how I'm feeling about it. Ugh.
New washer is being delivered Friday. Dh did some research and found that they don't sell the part we needed to replace on our old washer. Instead we'd have to spend $250 to replace the transmission. So not worth it.
Lo had fun playing in the snow yesterday. I took him sledding for the first time. We have a perfect little hill in our backyard. He kept giggling. It was the cutest.
megpie5 good luck getting through exam week. My friends that are high school teachers are doing the same. raven hope you're feeling better today! laceysbryan good luck! You got this.
Stress reduction through retail therapy - bath and body works has retired scents online 3 for $20. My all time favorite scent is sensual amber so I sure did buy 3 body creams, 2 shower gels and a body mist. ashlantic Sorry about the expense but woot woot for a new appliance!
laceysbryan GL on your interview, I'll send all the positive vibes your way at 3! ashlantic unexpected expenses suck but yay for a new washer! I still remember going with my mom to the laudromat as a kid...what a pain (we'd go walking!)
We did our taxes last night. We're getting a refund which is great but it's all going to pay off debt. But it'll be nice to not have that hanging over our heads.
Leo saw the DC from the car this morning and started crying "let's go, let's go". Broke my heart. But he did well yesterday. My sister picked him up and he didn't want to leave. Can't wait until he actually likes going and has some friends there.
ourcrazynavylife can I send you my laundry? Lol. I've got a basket of soapy towels and a bag of dirty dipes that probably shouldn't wait until Friday to be washed. None of my options are great either. My parents offered up the use of their washer, but I feel like death and don't want to germ up their house. I think I have to suck it up and hand wash in the tub. I would have never made it as a pioneer. Give me allllll the electricity and appliances. Lol
littlelion I'm so excited for the new washer! Dh and I were reminiscing about when we bought the first set of appliances. We had closed on our house 2 days before our wedding and were leaving for our honeymoon so we had no time. We did zero research. We walked in and told the salesguy "We need to buy 5 appliances. Show us the shittiest, cheapest ones and then we'll get one step above that." Lol This new washer is definitely an upgrade! How's Leo's day at DC? Fwiw, when I taught preschool I always had a couple kids in every class that had rough drops off. They were always happy and playing within a very short time. I know it's hard to leave him when he's crying though. Hang in there!
Just spent 2 hours playing out in the snow with lo. The sun was out so we had to take advantage of it. The news last night said for the entire month of January our area only had TWO days of sun. And oddly enough the cold air makes my cold symptoms ease up, so I'll take it. We went for a walk and he insisted on a piggyback ride on the way home. I swear with all his snow clothes his weight doubled. I'm either going to be really strong or have a broken neck in the morning. 😮
The weather has taken a turn for the worse after having sunny skies in the 60's (F°) for the past couple days. I'm fine with it, though. It's laundry day, and I have nothing to wear.
DD is having a terrible day. Her lack of speech has really been frustrating her lately. She spent a good 5 minutes throwing a fit because she wouldn't even try to say "gummies". *sigh*
It was okay... Shorter than I expected - only about 25 min. We talked about my qualifications, the firm, and even salary requirements, so that all seemed like it was kind of good I guess? Didn't sound like they could pay me what I make now, so if I get an offer DH and I will have to have a talk. Oy. I just want the damn job, I don't care what they pay. I wish DH felt the same way though. I'll hear something the week of Feb 13.
