DD2 (weird typing that!) has settled in well since we got home on Wednesday.
She took badly to the morphine in my system and was too weak to feed and lost 13% of her birthweight and became more jaundice. She didn't wee for two days so, yesterday she had to go into the NICU for a review.
However her tests came back borderline so she was allowed out and I think the thought of being in their after what happened to her brother shocked some life back into her because since being home again, she's feeding like a guzzling maniac and has put on 100g in one day!! Her skin is less fluro and she opened her eyes for the first time last night.
She still hasn't grown any eyelashes yet (not even fine ginger see through ones ha ha!).
So she is known to us all as Miss Mouse (Miss mouse is a toy from a CBeebies show here and the mouse is teeny and posh and prim and just like my baby girl).
DD1 (weird again) is 100% in love with her and daily we have school friends at the door asking to come and visit her wee sister.
DS is protective of DD2 and gets angry when we change her nappy and shouts "get her trousers get her trousers" - he's protecting her modesty like all big brothers should 😀.
For now, my anxiety is in check and I'm pleased with how I've coped with the birth and the trip back to hospital. Time will tell though once DH leaves next week as he's been amazing as i knew he would.
But for now, she's feeding well, my boobs are agony, and she's getting better little by little every day - which is all we can ask for.
