I think I went to maternity clothes in early 2nd tri, with jeans (I work from home so I'm basically in yoga pants all the time). I didn't get a belly band because I also started gaining weight in my thighs and didn't want to be reminded of it (still don't). I started just grabbing some stuff on sale/clearance at Kohls/Target/etc. My Ross has a decent maternity section too.
I'm actually heading to a Motherhood outlet later today
Yeah pre-pregnancy I primarily wore skinny jeans. So I only have 1 pair I can still get into because I think most of my weight gain has been in my thighs (and face ☹️).
I love target for basic maternity tshirts. They've held up really really well. I even bought a few XL and XXL sized ones off the clearance rack and I wear those as long shirts with leggings. Comfy! I'm wearing a target shirt I. The picture I posted to GKU.
The motherhood jeans are my favorite. The old navy ones I have don't stay up well and the panel only goes half over my belly these days.
Burlington has some decent stuff too for nicer tops.
I never bought a maternity coat. Not something I wanted to spend money on. I just wear my regular coat but haven't been able to zip it in months. But that's ok because I'm always hot anyways cooking these kids.
We have all the snacks at work today and it's so fun. We have pizza, meatballs, pigs in a blanket, veggies and dip, queso, guacamole, French onion dip....soooo yummy!

Also team wear maternity clothes when you want. You will feel so much better about yourself. I was still squeezing myself into my old clothes when I definitely shouldn't have been and it was killing my self esteem. But definitely buy bigger than you think you need. I've already outgrown a lot of my maternity stuff. Especially you wannabmama the twin belly is no joke.
Omg reading these last posts made me so hungry!! I have no fun snacks in the house and it's 20 degrees and snowing out...boo.
Also...I'm fat and getting fatter...when do people get maternity clothes? I don't need much, but I will need a suit at some point, plus just passable nice things for client meetings or, you know, leaving the house...
Pampers didn't work for us.. and hell to the no on CIO as a newborn. 6 months? Sure, to each their own. Newborn? they can fuck off with that nonsense
And formula isn't the devil..
Right! To each their own. DH originally wanted babies in our room for a year because that's the new recommendation and we must follow the expert recommendation. I said we'd start them in our room and move them out when we feel comfortable with it. That might be two weeks, or it might be 10 months...who knows! But now he's all "Jeff says they should be in their own room from day one or we'll never get any sleep". And I said "well then I still won't get any sleep because I'll be up every 5 minutes to check on them". Like, can't we just figure this out as we go? There's no need to make concrete sleeping arrangement or diaper brand plans today.
The Pampers diapers we had were scented and although DS didn't seem to mind, the smell bothered me. So if you're sensitive to scents be aware of that. We used what we were given, but I prefer Huggies or Costco brand.
As you said, you guys will figure out what works for you
Thanks @mustloverica I am going to order the belly band now...I only need to look human one or two days a week, the rest of the time is yoga pants, so that's good!
With my first it was summer so I was able to do skirts/dresses and I held out until around 19 weeks I think - that was a combination of the weather turning and my bump getting bigger.
This time I just started wearing maternity clothes at 16 weeks. My jeans haven't fit for weeks and my yoga pants just started getting too tight.
But as long as they're comfortable, and stay up, I'd switch to maternity pants as soon as you want to.
It's long. And wayyyy too messy for a TL;DR recap.
I'm kind of afraid of parenting. I got off GKU way back when I moved to 3T/IF and couldn't handle the easy bfps. I feel as if I was coddled there and on PAIF and this board and my BMB are devoid of literally any drama. Once there was a divisive thread about home births on my BMB but that was it.
I need my hand held.
I don't post there often, and only mildly lurk because I can't keep up most of the time, but when all my friends disappear from Pregnancy I need somewhere to go! (See last week's randoms about needing a "GKUers who are no longer trying to GKU" board or a "TCFers who belong nowhere anymore" board.)

We do need to figure out a solution. Someone mentioned you can post on the 2017 BMB itself? Not the months, the higher level? We could take over that?

I'll prob just live on pregnancy forever. I like the idea of all the 2017ers posting on one board tho. April 17 is so dead. It's literally just randoms threads. So most days I don't even check it. I didn't feel like I fit in on PAIF, I don't know anyone on SAIF and I can't keep up with threads or people on parenting. So pregnancy and PoM are my home and PoM isn't quite busy enough to be my only home. Plus I can't quit you guys. I've known some of you from years of living on GKU and 3T. Heck going back to TD. So leaving you for complete strangers would be super awkward.

Hiking was a success! It was super warm out.
I hope I won't need maternity clothes until the spring, when I can just live in sundresses I already own. I'm in the minority, I don't want to but any!

Ok I finished Gilmore Girls. I need recommendations for another chick show. Meaning a show DH won't want to watch with me so I can watch it when he's not home. Go!
ETA: we have Netflix, amazon prime and HBO Now so those are your choices.

I think we should ask for a GKU grads board...
But I'm not a grad I was on TTGP with DS1 but graduated. I didn't go back this time around :/

I hate maternity clothes and am counting the days I can get back into regular clothes with a belly band

Orange is the New Black? I haven't watched it yet but just asked my H last night if he wanted to watch with me and he passed.
Shows I've liked and H didn't watch with me: Sherlock (BBC - love!) Downton Abbey (love!) Parenthood (love!) Nurse Jackie The Night Manager (mini series) The Big C The Borgias The Tudors (love!) Dexter Mad Men Big Love
Gave you a bunch because I never know what's available where and when.
