Night two in the zipadee-zip went really well. It lets her have her hands up by her face like she loves and somehow keeps her from waking up. She's been covering her face with her blanket swaddle and it was terrifying me.
Oh hey it's February and it's sunny outside! The news says that we only had 2 days of sun last month in Detroit.
I'm hoping to take a shower this morning then I'm heading to my parents house. My aunt and uncle are going to come visit the baby and we're going to talk about building a house. H called the bank yesterday to discuss getting a lot loan. We may actually be doing this.
I'm trying to get some mega naps out of Mia this morning so that she's in a good mood this afternoon since I won't take her in the rooms with me (wound care). So OF COURSE we get two door to door sales people before ten o'clock. No. I do not want your meat delivery service.
I'm going to let my big dog answer the door next time. They don't need to know he's a cuddle monster.
DS is so cranky today. I wish the nanny would just take him out but instead she's just sitting here telling me stories about her sister's dog. I feel like shit today (head cold) and would love to lay down but she won't leave. D has been asleep since 9. She's going to wake up any second. I could have been sleeping too but now it's too late. I'm pissy.

Mom fail
Sitting on the floor of my office with my naked baby because she just pooped through four diapers and that's all I had in her diaper bag. Thank goodness our billing lady didn't even blink and immediately left to go get her more.
I really miss the days of the skid marks at every diaper change instead of this volcano explosion of poop every 3-4 days.
We are going home today! I feel like I have a while new baby! Although he is suoer cranky from being messed with constantly. I think we wI'll have a good swing nap today!
Best news ever! I hope M gets a good nap in today so you can rest.
I'm feeling better emotionally today, but woke up with a cold. Boo! My throat hurts so bad and my nose is runny. I've been drinking hot tea all day which seems to be helping some.
Lillian did go to dance class and had tons of fun. We tried to play on the playscape after, but it was wet for some reason. So she played with her kitchen stuff and colored while I cleaned. My house is mostly not horrible now! Lilah has been kind of sleepy, but also had some good play time including a big chunk of time spent on her tummy. Also, Lilah gained 15oz in the last 3 weeks so no medicine! Yay! She's doing just fine. Some pics from waking up sucking her thumb and from play time today.
tgrimes1980 how has going back to work been for you?
The actual work part is fine. I'm rushing in the morning to get ready, feed H & then get M up and ready but it's going smoothly. The nights are what stress me out. It seems like everything needs to be done around the same time and I can't do it all. MH helps but it's still chaotic. I'm sure it will take awhile to get a routine down but right now it's a shit show.
Yeah, I can imagine. This is the part I am most concerned about when I go back. I hope things settle into a workable routine for you quickly!

Hello!
I've spent most of my day on the phone with Sprint. Someone in FL tried ordering 7 iPhone Plus phones on our account. They also tried to change our account password. I had to talk to like 6 different people, but I think it's resolved now.
hangry Yes I did!! Today was my first day in the office. It was supposed to be a full day but I said screw it at 1:00pm. It's obvious that they were concerned I wasn't coming back because they've told me no less than a handful of times that if this arrangement (2 days in office, 3 days WFH) doesn't work just let them know and we'll figure something else out but not to just make a hasty decision. AND the person they hired will get to stay on since there's clearly enough work to justify the hire (awesome, right!) and will be CC's account manager (even awesomer !!!! lol). I have to thank my female coworker/producer for suggesting that arrangement and really pushing for it - she knew I'd had enough of him.
So am I bad mom if I say that although I missed them SOOOO much, it was kind of nice to have that break ?
That said, I'm thinking a better arrangement might be going in the office a couple hours four days per week rather than two long days (8-9 hours)... I think I'd rather give up 4 hours on 4 days with them, than 8 long hours on twice a week. I figure in that 4 hours, they'll sleep for 1-2 of them anyway esp if it's morning. I don't know, I'm not sure.
starbuck27 Us too. Seriously what happened to my STTN babies? She is waking up every 2 hours again, although mostly just fussing - I could offer a bottle but by the time I get downstairs and to the kitchen she's back asleep. But when they really do wake at 4-4:30 they do not want to go back to sleep!!! What gives.

@sarahwithanh So glad Monty is home and adjusting well. That picture is adorable!!
*Hugs* to all the ladies back at work this week.
kleigh When I was back at work, I missed C like crazy but I did enjoy having me time again. Just being able to stop at the store after work without worrying about the baby was nice. I think it's totally normal!
