Morning. Chase has been having a bit of trouble sleeping since his ear infection diagnosis last weekend, and I'm starting to worry that it's not going away on its own like we'd hoped. Or he could just be teething or miserable from this latest round of congestion. I don't know, but I'm tired.
chrisy01 we were really struggling with B going #2 on the potty and then one day it was like a switch flipped (this was not long ago, either). Happy to share what worked for us if you're interested, but try not to stress, he'll get there.
Morning! We are headed to the zoo with my mom; 75 here and sunny out today so I can't wait to get outside. Have a good day, everyone!
yummeecookee, no news yet. My guess is won't remember that he talked to me yesterday and told me he would call me, so I'll call him a little later today to check on him. I'm glad he is in the hospital because at least I know he is getting the care he needs, but I hate that I'm not there with him.
N seemed much better today so she went back to daycare. That was the first time she's every gone home sick and now that she knows what it means, I'm afraid she's going to try it again. She tried telling me this morning that she was too sick and should stay home. Nice try, kid.
Boss left on vacation for a week and a half. Glorious! Work seems to be picking up a little bit so at least I have some work to do.
klongoria11 thinking of you and your dad. Hope he's feeling better today

Cadence was coughing a lot last night. After listening to it for awhile I went in there to give her some Zarbees. Big mistake. Since she was half asleep she didn't understand what was going on and she ended up having a major coughing attack which induced vomiting. Lots of it. I felt horrible, but she went right back to sleep after I got everything cleaned up and the sheets changed and she didn't cough nearly as much the rest of the night.
I got the two hour delay I was hoping for, and it was wonderful. H was up again last night from 2-4 for no good reason. I have no idea what's waking him up and keeping him up, but it seriously needs to stop.
I got suckered into working tonight, it's so hard passing up OT when they offer double-pay. Why do you tempt me work?
LizInFL, I am so jealous of your weather. I need some sun in my life! We just got another 3 inches of snow last night. I'm so ready for spring!
chrisy01, C refused to go poop on the potty for the longest time, eventually she turned around. It will happen, but it's frustrating when you're in the the thick of it.
Morning. We had a much better morning today and we were at school by 8:10! A whole hour earlier than normal! Hoping this means we can get out the door early when I have 2 dropoffs in a month.
Doing some cleaning here today and doing some of the things I've been meaning to do done before leave is over.
When we were waiting for the school bus, I was busy looking at my phone and H thought it would be a fab idea to open the sun roof and dump a few inches of fresh snow in the car. I got it in my coat, down my shirt, all over the seats, the console...it was not delightful!
He just looked at me, and what like what's the big deal Mom? Next time I'm keeping him buckled in his seat for the entire wait! Usually, I let him out of his seat while we wait (5-10 minutes) then he gets back in for the few minute drive back home.
klongoria11 Sorry for the rough night. Mara is sick too and has been coughing a lot in the middle of the night. The past 3 mornings she coughs so much and then runs into the bathroom to vomit. I hope they both get better soon.
Unfortunately, now I've caught her cold.
It is so weird. The dc texted me yesterday saying Cadence had only taken a 15 minute nap because her cough kept waking her up. I thought they sent it to the wrong person because she hasn't been coughing at all. She's snotty, but we stay on top of blowing her nose when she's at home so it has eased up on the throat drainage. She didn't cough at all last night until she laid down to go to sleep. Tonight I'll give her the Zarbees right before bed to try and curb it ahead of time.
I'm also thinking she needs to chew her food better after what I saw her vomit up last night.
chrisy01 Dude was the same way, and then all of a sudden he just started using the potty. He's even going in public now. It will happen when you least expect it.
klongoria11 Thinking of your dad. Hope you get a detailed update soon.
X is still coughing like crazy. He hasn't had a single illness free day since before Christmas. He's giving me a concerned look every time I get near him because he's anticipating medicine.

vinolove, skip lunch!? No way. I eat like you. My mom seriously can survive all day on a hardboiled egg, a string cheese, a can of tuna and then a few pretzels or almonds. No way. Then somehow she drinks wine in the evening and doesn't get completely wasted on such an empty stomach!
chrisy01 O has been in underwear since August but he still won't poop on the potty. He asks for a diaper when he has to poop. Dr isn't at all concerned but I'm wondering when the heck will this kid get with the program!?
That's a lot of work for a poop! Hopefully he does in the toilet soon to cut back on the work you have to do

Update: I spoke with my Dad. He sounded much better than yesterday. He said he is breathing better. I asked what they thought it was and he said, "either pneumonia, a mild heart attack or both". So I said, "what do YOU think it was" and he said JUST pneumonia. They will be doing the angiogram later today, he believes, to rule out the heart attack. After talking to him I am not as worried now. It was good to hear him sounding like his normal self.
Hello ladies. We had to run an errand this morning and then went to the Y. The girls had fun playing, I worked out and got a shower. Now H is eating lunch and then will be napping. Not sure what we will do for the rest of the day.
mamabear13 not sure if you've already had your interview but good luck!
@klongoria I'm glad to hear he is doing better! You must be relieved after talking to him.
@snoopymommymom your trip looked fabulous, I'm so glad you had a good time! Your fb pictures made me jealous!
Lucas is home sick today with 102 fever, so I'm stuck in the house. I've actually been super productive, I cleaned out all the kids closets (which had become a dumping ground for stuff we didn't know what to do with) and packed up three bins of too small clothes.
I'm also redoing our front room so I chalk painted like 6 pieces of furniture. I'm happy with the way it's turns out so far, no I need to sell the dining room table we have in there and buy a chair.
MH and I took the day off together and put the kids in DC. First time alone together since June!
We went to brunch and the movies. It was glorious
I'm just catching up while finishing pumping and had a random question. Has anyone bought the lisa Leonard jewelry that's advertised all over Facebook? Can you comment on the quality?
