For those finding out- Gender Reveal?

We did do a mini reveal with DD. We had just moved into our new home and were excited to be living near my family. We did the box and balloon thing. We found out with everyone in that moment. It was very casual, just my parents and siblings. We provided food. No presents.

I really want them to write it down and find out later but my husband is crazy impatient and wouldn't do it with ds, so I know he won't do it with this lo. What we're going to do is find out when we have the a/s done and then make a cake for my grandma's birthday, which is the following weekend, to share the news with family.

chelseamp11 - I will probably be finding out on my own as well, so I'm in the same boat as you - trying to think of a fun surprise for DH. I should be getting the call with my NIPT results soon, so I need to think of something quickly!

Well, I'm not sure if DH is going to make it to the US next week, so if baby cooperates and if I'm able to find out I definitely will find out. I will also just do a general announcement on Facebook so I can tell everyone at once. Yes, we are boring. I will not be doing this of course, until after DH gets off work and I am able to tell him first.

I don't think we'll be doing a gender reveal party or anything like that. We plan just to find out at the scan and then tell close family and friends before announcing to anyone else.

I plan on finding out when the u/s tech tells us. I'll tell people by calling them, I guess. We haven't announced the pregnancy on FB so maybe we will do that once we find out the sex.

H and I plan on having the tech write it down and put it in an envelope, then we'll go out to eat and open it there together.

Then we'll come home and tell my mom (she lives with us). After that, just calling/texting the important people, then sharing on fb. We live 4 hours away from the rest of the family now so definitely no party

Maybe we'll do a cute picture or something to post the sex... Depends on how lazy I am.

DH and I are finding out at the anatomy scan we are going to let my nephew announce what his new cousin will be since my mom promised him he could know first...I will probably film him and send it to the families all at once since it's tricky getting everyone in one place

We did the whole cake thing with DD.
This time we'll take the envelope to Carter's and have them gift wrap an outfit. We'll then let dd open it, take pictures, and send it to every one.
I find that I prefer to find out NOT in the doctors office. The more intimate moments with family appeal to me more than having a rando there.

My DH and I want to find out as soon as they will tell us. So, probably during the scan I want to be able to surprise our families though with a gender reveal for them. This is the first grandchild for both sides, so we want to make it special.

I hope our sonographer will take a guess at our next ultrasound in a couple of weeks. We've had to have several now, but I was too freaked out to ask about it last time because I was there for a bleed. I reeeeally want to be able to tell DD soon. It will be a high point for us.

We're going to do a reveal party! I have a big fun family (this will be the first great grandbaby), and I can't wait to find out with all of them.
