Thanks supertrooper1 and akafred. Once I get through my self-pity party, I'll need to ask if he means he's feeling neglected and needs more something from me, or if he actually means he wants me to care less about my work. One I can work on. He's SOL on the other.

Dear Widget123, Swap grandma for grandpa and I would think we were neighbors. My neighbors, the ones we are trying to move away from, have recently gotten into the used car business. It's rather irritating. Signed, erinshelley

Dear Universe,
I don't understand everyone losing their shit over Beyonce's pg announcement. Maybe it's bc I'm not a huge fan? Or I'm completely out of touch with current pop culture? Probably both.
Yes, it's "winter." I get it. Your baby does NOT need a snowsuit in order to walk the 50 feet to the car in 58degree weather.
Signed, The woman who saw not one, but THREE snowsuited babies today.
This has me cracking up. 58 degrees?! My kids could wear a hoodie and call it a day in that weather! Which is why we had so much fun in Disney in January and everyone else was complaining about the cold...
I'm sure the grandparents that are always shoving their grandkid into a snowsuit whenever I pick up are side eyeing me for making my child freeze with no jacket and half the time missing socks.
But 58 degrees! I can maybe justify it in the morning when it's in the low 30s, but not the afternoon! Not to mention the car seat buckling issues!
These grandparents are from RUSSIA too. I mean those people KNOW what cold is. This should be a light spring breeze to them.
shakinros - that's a weird thing to say! I hope he clarifies in a way that makes it manageable - like he really means he wants to go to happy hour once a month on Wednesday and a standing meeting you have conflicts ... and he said that instead.
DH here told me I should make other plans for this weekend. I am already out Friday night for packet pickup and dinner, then Saturday morning for the 5K. He suggested I stay in the city with friends for the weekend. WTF.

k3am, I had the following conversation with the after school teacher.
Teacher, hesitantly: I have noticed that DD1 has not been wearing a jacket. Does she have a uniform jacket? Me: yes, she has one. Teacher: Because if there are any difficulties I can help you find one. Me, realizing she thinks maybe I can't afford a jacket: No, that's very kind of you. If she's cold I'll make sure her jacket gets packed.
It was 62. I put her jacket in her backpack for the rest of the week. She chose to wear it zero times.
librarychica, that's sweet of her at least? But.. 62 yeah.
In 4th grade, I had to write a paragraph about what we would do if it was 40 degrees outside. I remember writing that school would be cancelled because of the snow, we'd have to bundle up in blankets and drink lots of hot chocolate. (Can you tell I was born and raised in SoCal?) Apparently there are people who, even as adults, agree with my game plan.
k3am , I think you're forgetting that anything <60 is absolutely terrible freezing cold weather.
Signed, SoCal
I live in the mid-Atlantic, where we get hot summers and cold winters. Hurricaines and ice storms. I still fight back tears every single year as winter approaches.
If it's 60 degrees in April, I'm wearing shorts and thinking about the pool. If it's 60 degrees in September, I'm bundling in a super warm fleece sweatshirt.
