Garth Brooks was probably my first artist I loved my favorite song still is The River. Most of the music tied to fond childhood memories are country songs (back when it was good not the crap played today.)

+1 to danib music choices. My favorite song forever was Alanis Morissette - Ironic; I played it on repeat!
I went to the OB for breast pain yesterday which they basically poo poo'ed and said breast feeding can hurt sometimes... ok. I am to call back if it's still there on Monday. But while I was there she examined my abs too and told me I should go to physical therapy for the separation! I didn't think they were that bad! She referred me to a PT. I never considered going before but I think I might go a few times and see how it is.
Poop Question - For the past week O has only been pooing every 3 days. Which I know is normal... but when he poops it's not the seedy yellow mustard anymore. It's more like melted chocolate ice cream. And it smells! Is that normal or is that diharrea?
waitwhat oh Shania Twain. Love her. I went to many a country concerts thanks to the Houston Rodeo, and I am still mad at my mom for not letting me go to Garth Brooks.(I did see him on his latest tour though!).
I did have a backstreet boys, and Brittney CDs though. My tastes were eclectic in middle school and still are .
cookswithwine9 I had the exact thing with DD it sounds like. I even went to the dr for it thinking thrush and it wasn't thrush. Turns out it was just pain from breast feeding. Omg it was like a a thousand needles shooting into my nipple and straight into my armpit. The worst. I hope it gets better quickly.

Sorry I haven't been around in a couple days; DS has been sick and out of preschool, so with my H out of town we've been spending a lot of time with my parents. Yesterday my mom and I took B and C to the zoo; it was such a nice day.
Hmm, favorite music...my first CD was Alanis Morisette Jagged Little Pill (I remember feeling so rebellious bc it had a parental advisory on it.) I was maybe 11? I got Mariah Carey Music Box shortly afterwards. Before that my cassette collection included the vocal stylings of Amy Grant, Boys2Men and Ace of Base. Lol, I had eclectic taste!
DS is home from school one last day...he's feeling better but still has a nasty cough and is just very weak. We're stuck at the house bc I have a couple people coming to give us estimates for new window glass. I *should* be doing housework, but instead am online shopping. Gymboree has a ton of cute baby stuff on sale for 60% off, if anyone's interested.

This is what it feels like! It sucks!
Yes it does. I would seriously yell out in pain every time she latched it did improve in a week or so ( I think shorter but that was almost 2 years ago so I can't remember exactly). I am sorry you are dealing with it.
cookswithwine9 C's also been going longer between poops, and hers have changed to a more liquid consistency as well. I asked at her 2.5 mo check-up last week, and pedi said it was normal, esp during growth spurts.

Oh boy. My mom only really listened to country, so that's all I knew (I still like country). The first CD I bought that wasn't country was Creed. I liked the Higher song. Then I bought a Nickelback CD. Then I moved on to the Offspring, LFO and Blink 182.
cookswithwine9 Lilah has the same kind of poop. It's a little more yellowy than chocolate, but like milk chocolate with a yellow tone. Lillian had the same. The poop will change a ton over the next couple of years. Diarrhea I think is more frequent and wetter.
Hello all, thought L and I were coming down with something so I upped my vitamin c, zinc, zicam-ed my nose(those q-tip swabs that supposedly shorten colds), etc. to prevent it! But in hindsight, I think it was the dry air in the house (we humidifiers everywhere)!?! DH leaves next Monday (a week early) but my mom won't be up till the following Saturday so 4.5 days alone has me panicking a little!
Music is such a hard topic! My mom was a huge Beatles fan! She slept at JFK for their first arrival! Lol I loved the Monkees and NKOTB when I was little! Mariah Carey's Day Dream was huge in Jr.High! I loved *Nsync, Britney, Christina, etc. I loved 90's R&B like Whitney Houston, Mary J. Blige! My first cd was The Bodyguard, my first concert was Guns 'n Roses (I was in kindergarten)
D's daytime sleep aversion finally caught up to us. She was an absolute nightmare going to bed last night and didn't have the best night either. I'm so, so tired.
She is FINALLY asleep in her swing right now after taking only two naps this morning of 20 and 30 minutes each. And I'm fighting hard for those crappy naps. It's exhausting and I'm over it. Her noisy big brother is out at the moment with our nanny but it's getting close to his naptime so their return to the house is imminent. Please FX that she stays asleep when he gets here!
I only really started listening to the radio in like 5th and 6th grade. Green Day and Weezer were super popular and I liked those okay. Seventh through ninth grade I was definitely a fan of Spice Girls, *NSYNC, Britney, Christina, Amber...lots of Top 40. I also really loved Alanis, Celine Dion, No Doubt, Tracy Bonham, Merril Bainbridge, and Fiona Apple. The first CD I ever owned was The Score by the Fugees (also parental advisory lol). But Tidal (Fiona Apple) is in my top 3 albums of all time.
But my alltime biggest music obsession I've ever had was Hanson. Omg in eighth grade I was OBSESSED. My entire room was wallpapered with posters from TigerBeat lol! And I listened to Middle of Nowhere every. single. day.
Favorite Hanson song: I Will Come to You. FFTC: I own the single on CD and I still listen to it in my car sometimes.
My first concert was NKOTB so I guess them. But the first CDs I bought were BoyzIIMen and Greenday.
I also went through phases of grateful dead, country, hip hop, and 70s rock. Pretty much whoever my current boyfriend was a fan of. I was not impressionable, nope, not at all.
My throat is better, but we are all still congested and I'm feeling more tired than yesterday. So another day mostly home for us. Yay... I think we will go out to the resale store after lunch. I've been wanting to go look for more dance outfits for Lillian and another pair of ballet flats. I do have more housework to do, but I'm trapped under a sleeping baby so oh well.
First favorite band... I honestly don't know. I loved the Romeo+Juliet soundtrack in 5th grade. I sang Lovefool by the Cardigans from it for our 5th grade talent show. I also listened to a lot of country music. I was really into Little Bitty by Alan Jackson, the Garth Brooks album In Pieces, and the Brooks and Dunn song Neon Moon.
Eta: In 8th grade I was obsessed with The Beatles and Blink 182. Blink 182 was probably my first real musical obsession and I was so jealous when my best friend got to see them at a concert.

Hey all! It has been a few days since I checked in. Sorry just feeling super exhausted/overwhelmed. Winter is long in Minnesota. Have been trying to keep up and LT. waitwhat - Google the Chipotle guac recipe - super easy and delicious! dashook - I don't remember my very first tape/CD but I had older siblings (way older) so they had me listening to Madonna, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Counting Crows....basically early 90s is my jam LOL.
AFM: Lovely postpartum hair loss has started. Seriously, you guys, it's ridiculous! Between that and the spotting from the IUD it has been a fun week.
shedreamsincolor one winter with a new baby in KS was bad enough, I can only imagine what Minnesota must be like. After that year I could definitely understand how people get seasonal depression. Hope you're feeling better soon!
Today has felt the longest of any day this week. I have let the TV do a ton of parenting and I'm going to put DS to bed early. I think we may eat Wendy's for dinner. Does Pinot Grigio go with a spicy chicken sandwich and fries?

Oh geez this is embarrassing but I think the first album I was really obsessed with was The Lion King soundtrack. My friend and I knew all the words to all the songs. That was around 5th or 6th grade. I somehow went from that to liking R&B and hip hop in high school. I can't think of a specific artist or album though. I remember wanting to buy Usher's first album but my mom wouldn't let me because he was shirtless lol.

Oh and my day has been uneventful. C has been taking short naps all day so I got a little bit of cleaning done but I'm mostly sitting here either feeding him, trying to entertain him or putting him to sleep. I did manage to take my doggy outside to play in the snow earlier. I felt bad because we keep leaving the house without her. Yesterday she actually tried to sneak out the garage door when I was grabbing C's car seat and she cried when I made her go back inside. I'm glad we got a little bit of play time together.
I'm sure this won't always be the case because Newton's Law and all that, but I actually did pretty well handling bedtime with both kids this week. Tonight was really smooth and C went down earlier than usual. I'm watching them both on the monitor and contemplating a bubble bath or just getting into bed early.
Hi me again. Any one here a lularoe junkie? I just got my first pair of leggings (FFTHC?) and I see what the hype is all about. They are like butter on my legs and I kind of want all the leggings now. I'm sort of ashamed because I really didn't want to jump on the lularoe bandwagon. But I think I just might have.
I have a maxi skirt and another skirt that I can't remember the name of. They're are both comfy and I like them. My maxi skirt is blue with big white circles and the white parts are completely see through, which is annoying. I haven't tried the leggings yet, mostly because I'm no longer on FB. But I've heard great things about them.
goldenlove3 I'm LOLing about the shirtless usher. I totally had that cd and I was in love with it.
I was so mad that she wouldn't let me buy it. I think I ended up getting the All That soundtrack instead lol. Come to think of it, when I got my first walkman, I wanted the Green Day tape but she ended up returning it because of the bad language or something. My mom was no fun.
Sorry, I think Tapatalk hates me! Last week I got messages about everything, this week... nothing!
waitwhat, I'm afraid of jumping on the bandwagon! Fabletics is another one I'm afraid of!
I haven't been getting notifications at all today.
I'm not a huge fan of fabletics. I like some of their tops, their bottoms are just ok and their sports bra sucks if you need any kind of support. I need to just cancel it, but they make you call and I hate calling. I just keep skipping months instead.

What...no Savage Garden fans?! Thank goodness smart phones weren't around because if so there would be some super embarrassing videos of me jamming out hard to Truly Madly Deeply.
