Alex made me cry last night. He was tired but couldn't fall asleep. He'd ask to nurse but then pull off and milk would go everywhere. He would scream and stiffen up his body. I was trying all the usual things. By 1 am I was crying along with him.
I'm tired but need to get going. I signed Leo up for a sensory play thing at the library. Basically, he gets to make a big mess. Dh went off to training but brought me a coffee before he left. Very nice esp since it's his birthday. I have no plans. Whatevs.
We actually had a semi-decent night. She has such a hard time getting into a deep sleep when flat. I'm at a loss for what to do. We have no room to get a rock n play and there's no safe place in our bedroom to put the bouncy seat so I need to figure something out with the bassinest. I also don't think it's reflux but rather the other end giving her grief. But, I'm getting dh to realize that she doesn't need to eat every time she's crying, even if she thinks she does(because of that damn feeding schedule and the gas). We actually got her soothed and back asleep after a diaper change and she went 4 hours without a feeding(from 4-8am!) and I got 3 hours of sleep.
MIL is coming today, I'll call it her monthly allotted visit. After that no real plans this weekend.

Im staying home today getting ready for my sisters Mexican fiesta birthday party. I might mix up a batch of margaritas to make sure the recipe is good. Haha.

Can you take the bassinet out and put the Rock N Play there?
requiressnacks our bed is high off the ground(adjustable bed) which is why we got the bassinest which has adjustable height. She would be pretty far away from my reach and right by the heat vent if she were in the bouncy seat which is why I'm hesitant to bring it in. The rock and play looks low too and looks to have a decent footprint on the floor, bassinest swivels out of the way.
We have the fire department party tonight and we're taking Hazel but leaving the big girls at home with a sitter. I can't leave Hazel yet, so hope no one minds that she'll be with us.

Moose (our year old lab) still has his cone on his head. And now it's covered in mud because he uses it to dig outside and it's been rainy. Ugh. Luckily the cleaners come Monday. Jane is doing much better after her shots, yesterday evening was the worst. She's sleeping like a rock now and I'm about ready to go take a soak and read a book.
littlelion.....I'm so sorry that you had such a rough night! Did you ever figure out what the problem was?
No idea. It could've been his nose again. I haven't had any luck getting stuff out and at night it sounds worse esp in his crib. He sneezed it out this morning. I almost took a pic of it hanging out his nose.

You amaze me how much you host with twins to take care of!
I really enjoy cooking and throwing parties before I had kids. Now I don't mind hosting because all the baby's stuff is here.
We're going shopping today to celebrate my birthday early, since tomorrow is the Super Bowl. My husband made brunch and he's making dinner. Thank God he can cook. Otherwise we'd be eating a lot of cereal. The weather is lame, so we'll see how long we last at the outdoor mall.
We've discovered the baby sleeps on her back if she has weight on her chest so I'm considering that sleep sack that has the little weight in the chest. We tested it out (supervised) with a teddy bear with beans in it, and she loved it.
Lucy the dog is in dog jail until next Friday. She bit DD1 the other night when Lucy was getting into the trashcan and DD tried to stop her. DD is fine, but I had to take her to the Dr for a preventative antibiotic and they have to report dog bites. Lucy was due for her rabies vax at the beginning of December and I was busy having a baby and missed it. So she has to be quarantined -- and it's costing us $500 to do it.

It's beautiful here today, I want to be outside all day. Thinking of taking Jane on a walk at the park. She's playing right now in her basement pack and play while we watch Real Time. I'm so done with winter.
Has your oldest been to the movies before? We haven't taken M yet, let me know how it goes!
This is his first time! I'm so excited. I've been craving movie popcorn since last year. He's not a popcorn fan so I'll have to take some snacks.
Not a popcorn fan? Blasphemy! I took DS1 to the mall to run errands last week and bought a bag of popcorn at the movie theater to bring home for him and DS2 to watch a movie. 😂

I've seen those! Does he get hot? She's very warm-natured.
No actually we have the fleece one (last kid was a terrible sleeper😬) and he wears a sleeper under it and I noticed his hands were still cold. It's been cold here though. It is thick but I think pretty breathable. We have the cotton one too 😬 you could just put a thin onesie under it? Where do you live again?
I'm in Texas, but we keep the house pretty cool, so I think she'd be okay in the cotton one probably!
Movie time was more of a hassle than it was worth. Lucky that dh was able to join us. Leo wasn't impressed with the plot he kept asking for dinosaurs. Alex was the best behaved.
